As a guy who worked in construction and couldn't stand most coworkers because of constant hard sexism (not even vague just raw full power sexism) I can definitely understand why women wouldn't want to be in the industry. I had a guy at work, middle aged with the same entry level position for years. It was scanning documents. Nothing wrong with that, but when he went on about how men create everything, invent everything and he couldn't get a date, I asked him how when he can't get the photocopier to work, he always comes to me to fix it. Then I asked how a combustion engine works. The silence was deafening. Dude, I have a friend who is an engineer and works in construction. The amount of times she has had to hear "this isn't a job for women" and has got her credentials diminished is astounding. She's an engineer but has had some people go out of their way to not call her that, while having no problem to do so for her male colleagues. It makes no sense.

As a guy who worked in construction and couldn't stand most coworkers because of constant hard sexism (not even vague just raw full power sexism) I can definitely understand why women wouldn't want to be in the industry.

I was building a restaurant with my male buddies and we were all celebrating the completion of the project, and, I can *not* stress how annoying it was when, from the fog, several masked women with glowing red eyes appeared wearing torn cloaks and floating three feet off the ground (Making them TALLER than us, btw! Hypocrites) as they prepared rocket launchers, grenades, and even some missiles, all aimed at the restaurant, some even going so far as to summon the divine wrath of the Gods to smite the building! I still groan when I think of them chanting about my sins or that they have seen the passage of fate or that they're the arbiters of judgement. Now the entirety of North America has a crater 10,000 miles wide and 5,000 miles deep and the restaurant has been destroyed so much, it was completely erased from this reality and every reality and every timeline.

Nothing wrong with that, but when he went on about how men create everything, invent everything and he couldn't get a date, I asked him how when he can't get the photocopier to work, he always comes to me to fix it. Then I asked how a combustion engine works. The silence was deafening. The accomplishments of men are amazing, but to ride on the coattails of the accomplishments of others and then feeling entitled to dating and sex just because you share the same genitals isn't a flex, it's entitled and a turnoff. Dude, I have a friend who is an engineer and works in construction. The amount of times she has had to hear "this isn't a job for women" and has got her credentials diminished is astounding. She's an engineer but has had some people go out of their way to not call her that, while having no problem to do so for her male colleagues. It makes no sense.
