Before we get into anything, we understand that we're were just a tad late to the game. Or rather, Intel has been dishing out updates so fast that we really can't keep up! Kudos to them on that front. So we know that Intel has since solved quite a lot of issues regarding DX11 and before titles and especially titles that are still enjoyed by many today. Arc performance has certainly improved by leaps and bounds since its first introduction as well. However, it still isn't perfect. So while what we're sharing might not be the latest driver as of today, it still does show how much attention Intel is putting towards Arc and it's only going to get better as the days goes by. In any case, back to our review!
I bought the barebones kit for about $700 -- which is good deal compared to its full price. It was also difficult to find a desktop at this form factor that has a discrete graphics card.
Nice review! Does it have coil whine or electronic noise? As someone who is very sensitive to noise the fact that it only uses 2 blower fans to cool a 330w system worries me. I got a 140mm dual tower cooler for an 11th i5, might be a overkill for some but I can tell you it's dead silent at light load and the fans spin just at about 500rpm when running benchmark so the main noise from my build is the psu coil whine lol
Thus far on our unit, we've not experienced coil whine or electronic noise. The fans will be audible under load but it's very reasonable for its size and still quieter than most gaming laptops.
Recently i bought it and i have to say that although it has 16GB of graphics, it looks like 6GB. i had a Dell laptop with GTX 1660 ti, and the difference was NOT that good. Intel needs to update the drivers to have impact at graphics card. and the temperature.... i had around 97 C when it was close, so i keep it open to cool down. cheers. ps. its NOT a Laptop man, it only has parts of a Laprop Laptop also has screen 😁
@@nasta862 Yes you should. it's a great machine, and as you said, drivers been upgraded and it works almost perfect. i had issues installing Win 11. couldn't find nor ethernet, nor wifi. i had to install Win 10 and everything went great.
@akoma.skeftomai , one can overcome the lacking network-drivers of the Win11-installer package by using an usb 2 ethernet-adapter (bay, ali: $2.95) with its drivers saved on.

bought the machine for 666 euros new...with 32GB RAM and 4,5TB storage (512GB+4TB)
for a total cost of 999,- Euros an absolute nobrainer!
We need a nuc with full desktop performence next gen

Great machine, "the steal of 2023", only needs some tweaks for energy saving. When connecting monitors only over USB-Cs it idles down to 15W.

What drivers did you use? Feb 2 drivers improved things a lot on DX9 and DX11
We might have a follow up video with the latest drivers soon!
@@Terafied any updates?
Better Horizon or vertical ?
Vertical
Not correct for DX11 and older....the drivers made a huge jump.

And with the most current drivers, has performance improved? Because personally I prefer to buy this than a laptop that is usually more expensive
