LOL! A fire. No one is going to run. Oh no it's IMPOSSIBLE to hear those alarms on the subway station XD. What if they did? Everyone would probably panic, bust into the news room and go "WHAT *ARE* YOU PEOPLE DOING IN HERE!" lol. Faved.
Usually 99% of the time is either construction (which they did say that Studio B was being renovated then) or someone smoking in the bathroom (which is a big no-no). Or the subway trains did it.
Now that I think about it. With the renovation of Studio B if the studio is also on the concourse level its a possibility that with the renovation going on in the studio dust from the renovation could have triggered a smoke detector causing the smoke detector to think its smoke when its really dust. It happened at my job one time the HVAC technicians changed the air filter and the duct smoke detectors thought it was smoke and activated the alarms. So I suspect the renovators set off the alarms.
I used to live in a military dorm and this would happen. The fire department would come and kick us out in -20f weather. We would all go to our cars but it would take like half an hour to heat them up.
When a fire alarm goes off in the building you are to evacuate the building even if there is no immediate threat, not sit there and make fun of the alarms that are put in place to save your ass and you do not re-enter the Building until the Fire Dept gives the all clear to return what if there was a fire in the building
