    In 1990 congress passed and President George H W Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) into law. Any building that is built in that year or later and has two or more stories MUST have an elevator.

  • @GaryBeltz
    @GaryBeltz 12 лет назад +1

    @tubemaster2703 That is the standard Simplex male voice playing the standard 4100/4100u/4120 voice evacuation message. When the installers come in they set up the panel with the message that was ordered by the contractors. The voice is stored on a card that is in the panel along with the sound.

    "Do you think this happens a lot?"
    Yes. This happened every six weeks or so at the last apartment building I lived in. By the time I got my pants on, gathered my important papers, and leashed the dog for a random 4 am wander there were fire guys huffing and puffing the other way up the stairs.
    It was always something about dust in the sensors. I guess that's what management tells you instead of "the elevator caught fire again."

      Happens regularly to the mall next to my apartment building at like 5am. Keep in mind the mall opens at 7am so it's really strange. My theory is that the resturants inside the mall is frying something. But weird how it happens so often

    I would guess that you are right about the panel and since they won't let anyone see it would suggest that it is in a utility room either in the basement or on the main floor but locked. They usually do monthly and/or annual tests/inspections. If you go by the library on a daily basis see if there is a sign indicating that one is going to be performed. Might have to actually go in the main entrance to see it. Usually will say "fire Alarm test today at (time) or an upcoming date/time

    The panel shown in this video is not the annunciator that is main panel the annunciator is a small retangular box with the display the acknolwedge, silence, and reset buttons and a key switch they are never that big in fact you can here Winson say to his father "There is no annunciator, the main panel's it!"

      Zeo Lightning In most cases the panel is kept somewhere in the basement, office, or utility room and it's usually a room that's kept locked at all times other necessary to get in it. This is the third place I've seen where the panel is at the main entrance. The other two were in real life the one was at a building at my dad's old job where he let me watch guys trying to troubleshoot a find fault in the system idk what panel is was. The second was in the corporate building here where AT&aT does its face to face job interviews and the building had a Simplex 4006 with a red cabinet.

    SHG is a Gentex product I don't think that is a SHG that you can hear buzzing in the background may be interference caused by his camera or some other piece of equipment. This is a Simplex 4100u system with some kind of speaker/strobes I can't tell what the one is but that is the Simplex standard evacuation message and slow whoop tone

    I have no idea since I have never heard them tested nor has there been a false alarm. I have asked to see the fire alarm panel but they said they do not let anyone see it. I am guessing it is a 4100 or 4100U because it has a Simplex 4603-9101 annunciator which is the common type for those panels. It just has Simplex t-bar pull stations and white Simplex TrueAlert wall speaker/strobes and ceiling speaker/strobes.

    • @MrTylerNicole1
      @MrTylerNicole1 4 года назад +1

      I can kind of understand how you feel about the situation. But what would happen if there was a real fire somewhere else and those two trucks were still at the false alarm? That could be a life safety concern. Fire departments don’t just respond because they want to, but they are required by law to. This is why pulling a false alarm is a serious criminal offense in some states. In fact, if somebody gets injured,, or even worse, dies because you were fooling around, that could be literally murder or manslaughter.

      @@DCC--vq1ng Premature silencing of fire alarm systems has resulted in fire deaths. In some locations, they "ask" that the alarm, trouble, etc. not be silenced or reset as it allows the fire department to easily identify the situation at the buildings FACP or annunciator panel. In others, such as where I live, there is an orange sticker placed on the panels that state the system shall be silenced and reset only by fire personnel per village ordinance. If someone were to not comply, a $1,000 fine can be charged at the departments discretion. In addition, every alarm should be treated as an emergency. @wileyk209zback One of the times it goes off you should try to get a recording of it for RUclips. would like to hear a female Simplex voice. don't hear them too often.
