    Looks like this system replaced 2903 signals.

      There were actually 4050-80s or related

      @@CODMarioWarfare That could be possible, too. Then it'd be just like my first elementary school (built in 1974) and three of the buildings at my college campus (built in 1978), all of which started out with Simplex 4051+4050-80 horn/lights but now just have SpectrAlert Advance horn/strobes on adapter plates (except they mostly used Notifier, though one of the college buildings does have a Fire-Lite MS-9600UDLS system, but at least they installed it better than I've seen some other Fire-Lite systems done!)

      @@ZakWolf It's not only possible, I know it for a fact. I've been going to that library since like 2002

      @@CODMarioWarfare Pretty neat. So it is just like my school, but in that case it was worse because those Simplex 4051+4050-80s were the first fire alarms I ever heard in my life (kindergarten). And then the old system began failing in early 2015, and that's when they replaced the old alarms with Advances. At least they didn't put in a Fire-Lite panel (you have to be careful to install them correctly to avoid numerous problems).

      @@ZakWolf Yeah I feel your pain, having dealt with 4050s from kindergarten through third grade. Pretty sure they gave me lifelong anxiety

    I saw the pull station and the LED was polling. So the SLC loop should work. Now if the device is bad, that's a different story.

    The number for the company was disconnected? That should be enough evidence that they cannot be trusted.

    That's what can happen when you go with the cheaper brand of alarms (Fire-Lite.)

      No, this is what can happen when your installer is a complete idiot.

      I guess the installers that put in the Fire-Lite system at the Walmart I worked at must have been idiots, given how the panel kept going into Trouble all the time!

    • @joeycaridi3030
      @joeycaridi3030 Год назад +1

      That's actually not the case. That actually happens if you hire cheap fire alarm technicians to install a system just like how you when you hire a cheap repairman that can cause problems as they're not much very professional just like what happened in this video here except that it's not about a cheap fire alarm technician and instead it's just a cheap plumber that caused a flood in the bathroom: ruclips.net/video/OP30okjpCko/видео.html

      @@joeycaridi3030 I know the Fire-Lite MS-9600UDLS system at my college's Field House building rarely has Trouble conditions; when it does it's usually after a power failure. (The Faraday MPC-2000 system it replaced was also like that.) Interestingly, it's the only Fire-Lite system on the campus; the rest of the buildings use Notifier.

      Fire-Lite is extremely reliable when it is installed according to the manufacturers' specifications and instructions. What I suspect happened here is that this was not installed properly at all.
      Fire-Lite has a bad reputation due to the large number of mom and pop companies with installers who don't know what they're doing.. who buy their products..

    • @ZakWolf
      @ZakWolf 7 лет назад +1

      Hmm. I've known a number of Fire-Lite systems that frequently have system troubles. I guess the majority of them are not installed properly?

      I have Fire Shield and it is the best. Fire lite is crap, it has to be remapped if a device is removed

      Here's the thing. None of these are the fault of Fire-Lite as Fire-Lite is a decent brand. It's just that the technicians didn't do a good job on installing the system
