I have seen videos where they pull the pull station to sound the alarm and just reset the pull station and it stops the alarms. Not all fire alarm enthusiust have the option of installing the systems in the house. Some lay the indicator and the pulls down on a counter of some type and test them from there.
insted of a specker strobe my dad got me 2 spectralert advanced.my little brother matthew poped 1 of my 12 volt genises batteries for my notifire afp 100.
Brings back memories to when I was huge in alarms. But I eventually came to terms with a kid like me in an urban area who loves alarms not going on well with neighbors.
Are the Genesis speakers all the large Genesis size or do some come in the size of the Genesis horn strobe? I noticed my middle school I attended was retrofitted with the Genesis speaker strobes. Some of the EST Genesis' are the small Genesis and some I believe are horn strobes and some may be chimes but Im not sure since I never heard the alarms sound there with the current system.
can you do this with any alarms? I have a Spectralert horn strobe and i thought it would be cool to try with that. Until I make some money that i can put towards whatever I want, I am going to only have the alarm i have. Can you tell me how to do this? What do you need to do everything you do here? I suspect my middle schools fire alarms sound exactly the same as this one. I know they have EST Genesis speaker strobes and horn strobes in red. But that system was installed sometime in recent years as either due to stricter fire code regulations or the original system saw its final days. I suspect it was fire code regulations as many older schools in that system replaced the fire alarm systems even my first elementary which opened in 1977 and had lights to the original fire alarms.
We need one like this for our house, My two nephews and sister are hearing impaired and If their asleep they might not hear our smoke alarm. But they would hear that, Plus our alarm company could sync them to the smoke alarms.
Speaker strobes are also known to be loud. I know those Wheelock E70s at Towson Town Center in MD are loud along with the Wheelock ceiling mount speaker strobes as the fire alarm went off 3 times in that mall while I was there. And that system has a siren like sound to it.

You would need a voice evac panel. And some sort of modem card for the panel to the FD.

Boy, you're testing these things very frequently. Do yours call the FD if they are ever activated?
No those alarms are in a controlled legal environment so no the fire departments were called.

I just hope these are not as loud as the horn strobes. Horn strobes are really loud. Like the EST Integrity. The Wheelock AS. They are blaring loud.
