This vaguely reminds me of that South Park episode where Stan plays an Xbox game called Heroin Hero which just consists of him chasing a dragon he can’t catch up to.

It's seamless and can actually still loop anyway, which i think is amazing
I got a feeling the Kobold is going to be a reoccurring character. I am excited.
JoCat finally giving Kobolds some of the love they deserve (not the classic D&D ones, people like those as much as they like the classic D&D goblins. The adorable ones that people make, like the adorable Goblins people make).

And Kobbo is just trying to keep him alive xD
Kobold-kun is a complete chad for backing his friend despite the absurdity of his mission.
Please tell me Kobold stays as a reoccurring character, i love him and all kobolds with all me heart and i want him to stay
I will call them Koboldy
I wholeheartedly sign this petition
Little gobbo and articficer kobald
This style of Kobold is Zito creation. Long ear floppy good boys. Hail our God Risf.
me too! I love the cute lil' kobold
Gobbo has a Kobold friend! I want Gobbo to form a whole party where they do stuff like this.
Gobbo, kobbo and kenko
And they are all Artificers. Time for tons of absurd contraptions of magic-aided engineering!
@@master-ofmanga2792 so fantasy Ed, Edd, and Eddy?
YEEESSS! He’s slowly amassing a party of cuteness!
on a side note, it is incredible how well suited this video is to the chosen song. That's some artistic talent right there
I like to imagine that this is all a side story of the Belkinus campaign, and is just happening in the background simultaneously to the main adventure
If you look at the map in the middle you can see its actually a map of belkinus
You just see the characters running for their lives from Thorne in the background.
They did cross the north of the map.
If the Belkinus Necrohunters dont "run into a goblin and a kobold chasing a dragonbutterfly" next session,
i WILL be angy

"you see a faerie dragon" "I want to chase it" *campaign in hold for the next 2 months as they try to catch it trough every nation, kingdom and whatnot. DM uses this to show case the word*
Dragon Head appears: Uh...
Second Head Appears: OH NO
Third Head Appears: Oh hey Kevin!
... "I did not hit her, I did NOT!" >)X^D
What I've learned is that this gobbo is absolutely adorable, and can absolutely *plow snow*
Zito's rendition of the Kobold is how Kobolds look in my brain ever since I saw the initial designs of "Task the Kobold Ranger" long long ago.
Faerie Dragon: *exists*
Gobbo: and I took that personally
Okay, given how the ending has the gobbo running after the faerie dragon again... This could loop seamlessly, maybe with edits where the gobbo doesn't trip on the Kobold and they join after facepalming and knowing the gobbo will need boat again.
I swear, whenever my mind hears this song it “auto corrects” it to Speed of Kirb

I love the little kobold's face as he flies through the air.
gobbo is a personification of the "no thoughts, head empty, just vibes" and i will die for them
The Kobold buddy has been introduced, and he’s a good inventive boi. This is everything I wanted
The kobold is an artificer
My expectations were unreasonably high, yet this was way above and beyond them!
i just noticed that at 0:05 the faerie dragon slows down to allow gobbo to catch up again, it really is doing this on purpose
Dammit, now I can't have my players ever hurting a goblin or kobold ever again.
Why would you hurt us D:
*Kobold (and goblin) lives matter!* - A regular human being that is absolutely not three kobolds in a trench coat.
until one turns out to be a tarrasqe in disguise
I would rather a 100 humans die than one goblin hurt
In our campaign, there was a guild that essentially reformed sapient monsters and helped them intergrade into the city. My character was a sponsor of that guild and would nonlethally knock out monsters and leave fliers on their bodies.
Gobbo: happy-go-lucky cinnamon bun
Kobbo: responsible born-2-minutes-earlier big brother
The perfect duo
Born 2 minutes earlier, dead 11 days later... ;____;
I've decided I want this to be an indie game, Goblin and Kobold go on a quest to catch a faerie dragon. Get on it Jocat!!!
Gosh this entire sequence is just delightful, and I utterly adore the little kobold
Even though that kobold is clearly an Artificer of some kind, it still has such distinct Task energy.
Also, EYYYY, Belkinus map!
I had a feeling that was the Belkinus map
Wait, does that mean Gobbo is in Necro Hunt?!?
We should all strive to share this tiny gobbo’s determination and excitement. She doesn’t even get sad or mad when it escapes, she just goes after it. That’s character right there.
Why did you call gobbo a she? Also he is the one and only gobbo
@@miniwhiffy3465 I did not know he was a he. Thought he was a she.

Welcome to the short stack campaign
Some god: do it again
Adventurers fighter: "Look XP running! Quick, fire ball them, eldritch blast, inspire my long bow shots..."
Mage: "use a third level spell slot for two monsters? I don't think so."
Warlock: "that's just a goblin and kobold chasing a fearie dragon, that's like 1 xp for each of us."
Bard: "They're so cute, can we keep them?"
Rogue (who happens to be a goblin, with a long secret background of how he lived on the mean streets of... cough cough gargle... sorry.): cute goblin, where! Let's follow them... for reasons...
That checks out
The length this little guy will go just to chase after a dragon butterfly is admirable
The best 2:04 seconds of my life. This is the pinnacle of animation and story telling
Looking at the map of Belkinus Necro Hunt, 1:14 seems to have Belkinus' norther border, there's a mountain range in the approximate location of the Jagged Peaks, which also has a river starting north of it, and there's a city resembling Chester City in almost the same location, so theory: This is an early version of the Necro Hunt map, and there are other countries the players can visit.
I think gobbo is in the Belkinus universe
@@thylacinepunic5582 If so, we shouldn't get too attached to him because of what happened to Mirth.

I had a faerie dragon once, his name was buttercup and he cussed liked a sailor from Chult. Didn't help we we're in Chult either.
The direction here is incredible, the animation fits the music perfectly.
Anyone else notice how they circled Chester city and how JoCat gave us a nice look of the map?
This vaguely reminds me of that South Park episode where Stan plays an Xbox game called Heroin Hero which just consists of him chasing a dragon he can’t catch up to.
This is probably the most adorable thing I’ve seen on the internet so far. Also, the Urak Kei have nothing on Gobbo chasing a faerie dragon across a continent and a half.
Look, I'm just glad Gobbo has a friend to have misadventures with now 🌟
Small detail but I absolutely LOVE that they’re running through Belkinus. Keep up the amazing work Jo!
Thanks for the wonderful videos my dude, I’m sorry for the way you’ve been treated as of late. I hope you find happiness wherever life takes you, even if that place isn’t content creation. Idk if you’ll see this amongst the tide of comments and messages but I wanted to thank you for giving me so many happy memories with your content. A buddy of mine and I looped this song for 4 straight hours while studying for exams and it is one of the happiest memories I’ve made at college. I swear to do my part to keep gobbo happy in your stead, I’m told I make some decent cookies.
Anything with Gobbo gives me great joy. The glow in the dark plush I bought a while ago always makes me smile :3
If kobolds and goblins actually looked like how JoCat draws them I would actually play one

Love the kobold whacking the boat with the wrench to make it go faster. Gotta move that gear up!

I absolutely adore Jocat's interpretation of Kobolds. They are so cute!
Just the thought of this being a random encounter tickles me, like a party sitting down for the night eating stew then just through the middle of a camp, the faerie dragon, a gobbo then a kobold leaving them gobsmacked
Oh my goodness, I love that Gobbo has a little Kobold friend now! That's so precious!
