The sound effects are too damn funny. The diffusing sound where it fades and the voice of Sean starts to dissipate into the void. The camera work, the unaffected Sean chugging along with the questions as Dan goes through a spiritual experience. I swear I could watch a documentary with Sean and crew, these are the most hilarious interviews ever, cheers
It is impressive that he went that extra to record an off-angle footage and send it to Hot Ones so their editors have something to work with aside from video call footage.
Dan: "I wanna say that my vocabulary expanded during this process- it did not." Also Dan: 3:35 : "to write for a character 'whose vocabulary is so left of center'" 10:30 : "so this evolved in the mouth. It is a very fragrant, bouquet of flavors"
Dan: "...I think everyone needs to just put their phones down for a second and just generally reevaluate what's going on. I think if you're getting mad at people for standing in the shot of your dogs Instagram post...um...you've got bigger problems on your hands."
Yup. Those would be my top 2 choices, Catherine O'Hara in character as Moira and Annie Murphy in character as Alexis. Moira would be great just because of how dramatic and extra she is and Sean could ask Alexis the backstories to the wild stuff she's done in the past.
Thank you so much for getting Dan Levy on the show! He's is truly a Canadian treasure! So eloquent and funny! 🇨🇦❤ "I'm feeling this, like, deep aching sense of dread" - David Rose lol
Right?? I don't think there was any indication that this show *didn't* take place in Canada! Apart from the fact that it was shot in Ontario for CBC, nearly every episode features B-roll of a residential street with a VERY Canadian road sign indicating the speed limit is 50 km/h. So yeah, they never seemed to try to make it look American.
Schitt's Creek is the best show ever! Can't wait to see the final season when it comes out! They're all geniuses. Of course I love Sean Evans, too! You are the cause of the excess of hot sauces in my fridge. 🤣

You'll love Schitts Creek. It's great
The show is honestly such a love letter to the world. :)
as a HUGE fan of schitts creek and the Levys, this comment made me smile! you are in for quite the treat! i haven’t watched a show that makes me cackle in so long and this one did just that.
I love it that he had real jobs even though his dad was a legend and loaded. Hashtag good parenting.
"That has some of that pepper poison in it..." LOL He is so precious. He was riding the struggle bus there.
“We were in the shower, and now it’s raining. Who cares” is my new favorite quote
I read your comment at the exact moment it was said. Ahhh. It’s the little things in life 😜🤣
the pause before saying "soda" is proof dan levy is canadian as he realized people would be confused at him calling it pop
I’m from Ohio and it’s called pop here too! I had no idea Canada also called it that.
Hah! Solid catch! I am so proud of you, total stranger! (Not sarcasm, I promise. I'm impressed I didn't catch that.)
haha i assumed he was going to say "coke" and then self-corrected because you wouldn't be able to casually throw out brand names on tv
I feel like he hesitated because he didn't want to say the actual name of the drink he was referring too ie Pepsi, dr pepper, coca cola
Aahhhh right! I was like pffft soda... come on my Northern friend lol
This interview is literally the reason why I started Schitts Creek and fell in love w Dan
I literally just finished schitt's creek I'm in love with this guy
GDouble3K have you seen the last season? Noah Reid is so funny!
I love Dan too!
I have a crush... Dan is SO handsome. His comedic style is very intellectual... and that smile. 😍
Dan Levy is a gift to humanity and we don't deserve him.
Agree!
This is why I watch Hot Ones hearing Dan talking bout not being able to let go is so real
It is impressive that he went that extra to record an off-angle footage and send it to Hot Ones so their editors have something to work with aside from video call footage.
“Do people get panicky?” 🤣
lol
Dan: "I wanna say that my vocabulary expanded during this process- it did not."
Also Dan:
3:35 : "to write for a character 'whose vocabulary is so left of center'"
10:30 : "so this evolved in the mouth. It is a very fragrant, bouquet of flavors"
I'm LOVING this journey for him.
“Can’t say it was entirely enjoyable but I had a great time”. That sums up my life.
i have never loved a celebrity so much in my life. he's just such a good soul, it seems.
Dan: "...I think everyone needs to just put their phones down for a second and just generally reevaluate what's going on. I think if you're getting mad at people for standing in the shot of your dogs Instagram post...um...you've got bigger problems on your hands."
Still can't believe that Keanu hasn't been on here yet... He is so down to Earth that I keep thinking he will be the next guest on.. Fingers crossed!
"Ew David!"

💖
Dan eating spicy wings:I'm getting kinda panicky
Me:doing nothing
My anxiety:I'm getting kinda panicky
@@chulyeom8209 hahaha. Exactly! Just another show that should NEVER have ended!
@@chulyeom8209 "a little bit Alexis!" Hahaha
i’m living for his curly hair
I know we lived w SC hair & wow!!
Yeahh they look lovely..I used to straighten mine to death but now I have accepted them
It's so cute 🥰🥰
Please do this with all the actors from Schitt's Creek acting as their roles. Would love to see what Moira would say and hearing "Ewww David!"
"I'm feeling this, like, deep aching sense of dread" - David Rose lol
Dan's barely surviving fiddle leaf in the background, just made me love him so much more!
Lol right, so relatable 😅
I know...I thought, I just want to take care of your sad fiddle-leaf fig....
His ability to pick out the positivity in what is going on actually gave me some hope and comfort. Love this guy.
I just feel such a lovely bond with Dan Levy. He's such a lovely person. I just really enjoy him!
The joy behind his face talking about this show is so beautiful and exactly why it’s so successful! Love him!!
Canadian show shot in Canada with Canadian actors and Canadian references.
American guy: “the show is based on a small town in America”
I caught that too lol
Right??
Beatnik Mary and in some episodes a literal Canadian flag
Dan has literally said in other interviews that the town is for sure hypothetically somewhere in Canada
He looks like every Big Bang Theory cast member put together in one.
I only see Leonard
Just a coiffed, more attractive Leonard
I see some Kramer mixed in there
You have to watch him on Schitt's Creek.
He does!🤣
This dude is my new favorite person in entertainment. I'm so impressed by everything he does. 💚 him.
Schitt's Creek is the best show ever! Can't wait to see the final season when it comes out! They're all geniuses. Of course I love Sean Evans, too! You are the cause of the excess of hot sauces in my fridge. 🤣
The final season was really good. I don’t want it to be over 😭
You can watch it on CBC Gem if you're in Canada!
Amazon Prime. You can just buy it. Screw waiting.
I downloaded the Pop Now app and watched it there. As long as you have a cable provider you can watch it that way too.
all seasons are available on Netflix.
"It almost almost tastes like you've just gotten a big whiff of somebody's armpit. It is like a gamey, musky flavour thats not going away"
Prob the best review I've heard of Los Calientes yet. I love that FWF didn't back away from using it for promotional clout anyways LOL.
The fact that he busted out the word 'quintessential' mere moments before death - wow.
I love how the 2nd camera is the one with better quality
I saw Eugene Levy & Catherine O'Hara on Instagram singing a love song to one another (written by Michael McKean & Annette O'Toole), and I was absolutely bawling.
Wow! What a career this guy has had, talent agency assistant, actor, presenter, showrunner. I can hardly believe that he's done all of that.
Writer, director, tv show host, the list literally goes on and on. This is a man who let going until he found his sweet spot. Very inspirational.
Moira calling David a disgruntled pelican and his reaction was my favorite part of the whole show.
I loved his reaction to that too. That whole scene was hilarious. His facial expressions and reactions is the best of any actor ever.
I've been such a huge fan of Schitt's Creek. So happy to see Dan on this show!
Dan saying Jason Biggs is like a weird extended family member just made my week. Great question from Sean.
I love it when ppl ask Sean where/how tf he found out what he's asking them. 😂😂😂 All time interviewer. Respectful, thoughtful, genuine, and thorough.
One of my favorite guests. What a gem of a human.
What a very smart, talented, great looking, and thoughtful guy. Dan Levy is an absolute sweetheart.
My girlfriend and I saw this episode and wanted to give “SC” a try simply based on this his performance here! After all this time, and us watching it 3x through, Dan did a perfect job of promoting his show. God bless Schitt’s Creek!
This is some quality television, right here... 😂 Love this man and how thoughtful and well spoken he is. Just seems like a fantastic human.
Beautifully said
Dan Levy is just a fenomenal writer, creator and overall person
We don't give two Schitt's about him in Canada.
Just another 'Daddy's coattail rider'.
@@sauldavis4730 by "we" you mean you right? The dude is cool as shit, maybe you're refering to Brian Mulroney's idiot kid?
