that was a real thing that happened a few months ago. some teen looked up CPR tutorials on youtube and had to sit through a minute of ads. they took to twitter to complain at youtube for putting ads on help in immediate emergencies, and they just got a canned response advertising the benefits of youtube premium instead of actually giving a shit.
It's actually awful what they do with ads. No one using adblock is gonna buy the product and is so obviously just so they earn money like they are struggling to make a profit😭😭

There's one critical detail missed. The creator gets fed up and pushes back in the slightest way and then RUclips goes "HEY! you BOTH need to get it together"

I didn't have any idea who either of them were before last night and she should be kicked off yt for that. But she's an attractive chick so nothing will happen. Am I going crazy or has everybody become conditioned into referring to corrupt leadership by using the name of their company and ONLY that? Sorry for the tangent, but I think the 1% have truly indoctrinated everybody into fearing doing anything effective for fear of making things worse or a brainwashed belief in what is, and what isn't, professional. My point is, directly addressing the CEOs and Board using their ACTUAL names would more effective in getting the results we want, but everybody has continually accepted speaking to brand/company buffers, speaking to essentially a wall, since that's what they use it as. Back on point, Jack's one of the OGs and he's represents the best of RUclips, then and now. He deserves better than this.
I'm flabbergasted about the genius of this. Comedy has such massive potential for commentary when in the right hands. And Daniel certainly has those! Bravo!

My heart goes out to Erin. Obviously to Jack as well, but Erin lives there too, and she wasn’t involved in this other than QRTing Lia with “lmao” once or twice, but Lia still dragged the poor woman into it with no regard for anyone but herself.
She put a few people in danger, shes incredibly selfish and self centered, jack is only the most public victim but she's constantly bullied and assterted her power over smaller creators before. And this is what youtube views as the best reprentation of them, ironic isn't it?

I'm finding it insane how angry commenters are getting at other commenters for simply NOT KNOWING WHAT'S GOING ON AND ASKING and the weird accusations that "if you've been on the internet at all" or "if you know youtube at all" or "oh you must be a recent youtube user". You know the algorithm exists and curates what you see, right? No need to get so enraged and explosive, people aren't WILLFULLY avoiding knowing about things, not everyone runs in the same circles, is from the same culture or country. We're trying to educate ourselves. Thank you Daniel for raising awareness about this, this is the first I've personally seen or heard about the specific event in my feed, personally. Initially I thought this was just commenting on a general pattern of reactors not crediting sources and bashing creators - I related it to Legal Eagle's educational video about reactors not crediting sources where he specifically has a video titled "xQC is stealing content (and so are most reaction streamers)" combined with the recent tendency of a lot of platforms to ignore fascist rhetoric or even become more fascist-leaning themselves since Trumpism, but thanks to the comments I now see it's about a very specific doxxing incident - as I understand it thus far. I'm commenting this so people can hopefully see how it's very possible for people to genuinely interpret a parody or satire in different ways or even misinterpret the intended meaning - this is a phenomenon we've been seeing plenty in recent history (for example conservatives misreading the message of Barbie as being anti-feminist despite that even being really explicit in its message). I was raised in an environment where abusers conditioned me to have to interpret what they were saying and where bad faith manipulative arguments and sealioning were normalised, but let's acknowledge that it IS also very possible for people to have different understanding of what's going on - not all misunderstandings are deliberate, and if someone is not deliberately misunderstanding then anger doesn't actually help at all, just confuses the other person. It's important to take a breath because while you may be actually triggered by past trauma to feel the need to defend yourself against a perceived attack and what you may see as sealioning, your reaction may not be perceived as such but instead seen as a bullying or violent response by a person who is actually GENUINELY confused and NOT trying to troll you or bait you into justifying yourself or weaponise their (actually genuine) ignorance against you.
This is what comedy sketches can do best, they can draw attention to serious issues and explain them in an easy-to-understand and engaging way. Hoping Jacksfilms and family is doing alright.

Recently she decided to escalate the situation by doxxing him, effectively pointing the loaded gun that is her massive fanbase directly at Jack and his wife. And she continues to act like she's the victim here.

She recently was exposed for doxxing another RUclipsr known as jacksfilms and as of right now, RUclips hasn’t done anything to get her off the platform and likely never will since they profit off her content.

She's been publicly insulting and goading him on Twitter and leaving coded insults in her videos for months now, because he criticized her for not crediting the people who make the content she reacts to. He in the meantime did some Twitch streams reacting to and criticizing her content for its lack of credit and the fact that she regularly doesn't actually react at all - just leaves the video to play in full, in direct violation of RUclips's rules on fair use. Sssniperwolf ramped up her insults and comments more and more as he released these streams/videos, eventually culminating a few days ago when she doxxed him by posting an Instagram Live of his house whilst he was streaming. Jacksfilms has released a short statement (2-3 minutes) on the situation on his channel, and afaik hasn't streamed since (understandably). I think the escalation from the belt to the gun in this skit is in reference to Sssniperwolf's escalation from Twitter insults to doxxing his family
Full context for those who don't know about the current issue with RUclips: Jacksfilms basically made a channel called JJJacksfilms to be a satirical parody of what SSSniperwolf has been doing for a while now. He calls her out when she's literally not reacting on her reaction channel and doesn't credit the original creators of the things she reacts to. So Jack did it for a while, giving actual reactions and crediting the original source. Then, a few days ago, she basically did an 'innocent' Instagram Story of "Jack's house is a few minutes away from my film location: should I visit him? (Yes or No poll)". Everything would've been 'fine' after that. But she went ahead and actually made a story filming outside Jack's house, taunting him, "Let's talk like adults." To a normal person and a legal professional, that could not be counted as "doxxing" since she didn't give the exact address or any identifying landmarks on the photo. But since the majority of her fans and the internet at large are chronically online and could locate where someone is just based on looking at the tree behind them, that's basically a massive invasion of privacy. She then proceeded to claim he's been 'harassing' her for uploading his satirical videos on JJJacksfilms and didn't know how to doxx. But, literally, from Jack's decade of being a RUclipsr, this is the only time his house was tracked down. So, that's pretty much stalking and getting the address through nefarious means. You may think, "It's on Instagram; RUclips should not be involved with any of this." But RUclips has a clause in their Terms of Service that says creators must not reveal any information on the platform that could lead to harm. Twitch Streamers and RUclipsrs accidentally flash their address for a split second while live or on a video, and they get swatted, causing a lot of mental and emotional trauma and property damage. SSSniperwolf's action of taking video of Jack's house and revealing it to her 5 million+ Instagram followers is an insane move, as it only takes one simp or deranged lunatic to go after him and his wife, causing serious property damage and bodily harm. With this issue, a lot of things resurface with her old and still-available content, like making teenagers Twerk on Omegle in exchange she'll show her breasts, that would never pass the current and past Terms of Service on the platform. She's literally been doing things that others have gotten banned for, and RUclips is turning a blind eye. So far, RUclips has done nothing and probably won't do anything about the situation. Update: A few days back, RUclips announced on X that Alia "Lia" Shelesh (SSSniperwolf's real name) would have a temporary suspension on monetization. She made an apology post on the same platform, saying she accepted the punishment and thanked RUclips for keeping her accountable. But, she just took videos from the main SSSniperwolf channel and uploaded it to another channel she owns, which is still monetized. The problem here is that it's also in RUclips's term of service that if you, the creator, receive a form of punishment for your actions, the sentence goes to all your channels as well. Going against it is considered a ban evasion, which is another crime. The last update on the matter is that Lia said she'll take some time off of social media as her mental health and ability to "make videos" is getting harder and harder as the issues like up. So, the Jacksfilms and her issue seem to end there. Additionally, on her more 'personal' side of things. She's in a lawsuit with her current, soon to be ex, husband. She locked him out of everything related to the SSSniperwolf channel and created a bunch of other accounts that he wouldn't have a claim to so she could keep all the profits reuploading stuff there. He claims that he should have the right to claim profits from SSSniperwolf as he did everything since the beginning, and all she had to do was sit there and be the face of the brand. It's all still unraveling as of this moment, and RUclips is still not doing anything regarding the ban evasion nor giving input on channel ownership as her husband legally should still co-own but she's locked him out of everything.
Usually, Daniel's sketches start off normally and then get random at the end. They go from 0 to 100. This one just straight up starts bonkers. EDIT: People, when I made this comment, I had no idea of the SSSniperWolf situation (never even heard of her tbh). She needs to be put behind bars ASAP!

When companies are as big as RUclips, it's not even about them being worried the business would not be able to sustain itself anymore. It's literally just about the board of investors. Making more profits to keep them happy. Because if they don't, the people in charge of getting that done get fired and replaced.

The more youtubers she sees and comment section she reads (even off hand from a friend or editor), maybe something will get through to her that something needs to change. RUclips thinks we'll just forget this when another drama inevitably pops its head up. We need to keep at it that this means a whole lot more than any other RUclips drama that may come after.
She’s made it obvious she doesn’t care, the apology that just came out was literally last second (after her monetization was jeopardized) and her statement completely contradicts prior comments she made to Jacksfilms. I remember seeing a year or two back and amusing not so hidden message in a Terminalmontage video that couldn’t be more true these days; “reaction videos are lazy and bad”. It seems the real issue though is that many people making these videos don’t credit the original creators, and so end up profiting off of other’s work. It’s despicable.

I'm finding it insane how angry commenters are getting at other commenters for simply NOT KNOWING WHAT'S GOING ON AND ASKING and the weird accusations that "if you've been on the internet at all" or "if you know youtube at all" or "oh you must be a recent youtube user".
You know the algorithm exists and curates what you see, right? No need to get so enraged and explosive, people aren't WILLFULLY avoiding knowing about things, not everyone runs in the same circles, is from the same culture or country.
We're trying to educate ourselves. Thank you Daniel for raising awareness about this, this is the first I've personally seen or heard about the specific event in my feed, personally.
Initially I thought this was just commenting on a general pattern of reactors not crediting sources and bashing creators - I related it to Legal Eagle's educational video about reactors not crediting sources where he specifically has a video titled "xQC is stealing content (and so are most reaction streamers)" combined with the recent tendency of a lot of platforms to ignore fascist rhetoric or even become more fascist-leaning themselves since Trumpism, but thanks to the comments I now see it's about a very specific doxxing incident - as I understand it thus far.
I'm commenting this so people can hopefully see how it's very possible for people to genuinely interpret a parody or satire in different ways or even misinterpret the intended meaning - this is a phenomenon we've been seeing plenty in recent history (for example conservatives misreading the message of Barbie as being anti-feminist despite that even being really explicit in its message).
I was raised in an environment where abusers conditioned me to have to interpret what they were saying and where bad faith manipulative arguments and sealioning were normalised, but let's acknowledge that it IS also very possible for people to have different understanding of what's going on - not all misunderstandings are deliberate, and if someone is not deliberately misunderstanding then anger doesn't actually help at all, just confuses the other person. It's important to take a breath because while you may be actually triggered by past trauma to feel the need to defend yourself against a perceived attack and what you may see as sealioning, your reaction may not be perceived as such but instead seen as a bullying or violent response by a person who is actually GENUINELY confused and NOT trying to troll you or bait you into justifying yourself or weaponise their (actually genuine) ignorance against you.

She recently was exposed for doxxing another RUclipsr known as jacksfilms and as of right now, RUclips hasn’t done anything to get her off the platform and likely never will since they profit off her content.
I don't know any of these other creators, so thanks! I needed the explanation. (I did, however, recently get the smackdown for using adblock, so I at least understood that part. 😑)

She's been publicly insulting and goading him on Twitter and leaving coded insults in her videos for months now, because he criticized her for not crediting the people who make the content she reacts to.
He in the meantime did some Twitch streams reacting to and criticizing her content for its lack of credit and the fact that she regularly doesn't actually react at all - just leaves the video to play in full, in direct violation of RUclips's rules on fair use. Sssniperwolf ramped up her insults and comments more and more as he released these streams/videos, eventually culminating a few days ago when she doxxed him by posting an Instagram Live of his house whilst he was streaming.
Jacksfilms has released a short statement (2-3 minutes) on the situation on his channel, and afaik hasn't streamed since (understandably). I think the escalation from the belt to the gun in this skit is in reference to Sssniperwolf's escalation from Twitter insults to doxxing his family

Full context for those who don't know about the current issue with RUclips:
Jacksfilms basically made a channel called JJJacksfilms to be a satirical parody of what SSSniperwolf has been doing for a while now. He calls her out when she's literally not reacting on her reaction channel and doesn't credit the original creators of the things she reacts to. So Jack did it for a while, giving actual reactions and crediting the original source. Then, a few days ago, she basically did an 'innocent' Instagram Story of "Jack's house is a few minutes away from my film location: should I visit him? (Yes or No poll)". Everything would've been 'fine' after that. But she went ahead and actually made a story filming outside Jack's house, taunting him, "Let's talk like adults." To a normal person and a legal professional, that could not be counted as "doxxing" since she didn't give the exact address or any identifying landmarks on the photo. But since the majority of her fans and the internet at large are chronically online and could locate where someone is just based on looking at the tree behind them, that's basically a massive invasion of privacy. She then proceeded to claim he's been 'harassing' her for uploading his satirical videos on JJJacksfilms and didn't know how to doxx. But, literally, from Jack's decade of being a RUclipsr, this is the only time his house was tracked down. So, that's pretty much stalking and getting the address through nefarious means.
You may think, "It's on Instagram; RUclips should not be involved with any of this." But RUclips has a clause in their Terms of Service that says creators must not reveal any information on the platform that could lead to harm. Twitch Streamers and RUclipsrs accidentally flash their address for a split second while live or on a video, and they get swatted, causing a lot of mental and emotional trauma and property damage. SSSniperwolf's action of taking video of Jack's house and revealing it to her 5 million+ Instagram followers is an insane move, as it only takes one simp or deranged lunatic to go after him and his wife, causing serious property damage and bodily harm. With this issue, a lot of things resurface with her old and still-available content, like making teenagers Twerk on Omegle in exchange she'll show her breasts, that would never pass the current and past Terms of Service on the platform. She's literally been doing things that others have gotten banned for, and RUclips is turning a blind eye.
So far, RUclips has done nothing and probably won't do anything about the situation.
Update: A few days back, RUclips announced on X that Alia "Lia" Shelesh (SSSniperwolf's real name) would have a temporary suspension on monetization. She made an apology post on the same platform, saying she accepted the punishment and thanked RUclips for keeping her accountable. But, she just took videos from the main SSSniperwolf channel and uploaded it to another channel she owns, which is still monetized. The problem here is that it's also in RUclips's term of service that if you, the creator, receive a form of punishment for your actions, the sentence goes to all your channels as well. Going against it is considered a ban evasion, which is another crime.
The last update on the matter is that Lia said she'll take some time off of social media as her mental health and ability to "make videos" is getting harder and harder as the issues like up. So, the Jacksfilms and her issue seem to end there.
Additionally, on her more 'personal' side of things. She's in a lawsuit with her current, soon to be ex, husband. She locked him out of everything related to the SSSniperwolf channel and created a bunch of other accounts that he wouldn't have a claim to so she could keep all the profits reuploading stuff there. He claims that he should have the right to claim profits from SSSniperwolf as he did everything since the beginning, and all she had to do was sit there and be the face of the brand.
It's all still unraveling as of this moment, and RUclips is still not doing anything regarding the ban evasion nor giving input on channel ownership as her husband legally should still co-own but she's locked him out of everything.
