Chevy LTZ nails it!! Price, performance and comfort...
I agree on the 5.3 AND 6.2 engine upgrades and getting more MPG s . I ordered a Glacier Blue 24 Silverado 14 weeks ago. You always do great reviews Ben!!
On the Ford website the 2024 Lariat starts at an MSRP of $64,995 and if you get the Lariat "high" equipment group forget about it, you're over $70,000. I've been pricing and observing the 3 big makes and it seems like the LTZ Chevrolet is where the value is at.
Does this come in a midnight package? Too much chrome for me
This is most likely the one I would get. I like chrome 👍🏾.
I have the 2022/3 LTZ with the Pearl White tri-coat paint and same color interior as the one you show. I got chrome running boards and the multiflex tailgate plus a sunroof for $67K. I added a soft tonneau cover and the Pedal Commander. The PC makes a big change in the 5.3L engines performance and highly recommend it. The truck tows very well as I tow a 7500 lbs travel trailer. The truck has all the same equipment as the 2019 High Country I had except for the 6.2L V8 but feels just as fast with the Pedal Commander. I believe this trim level is the best out of all of them. Yes, I feel that they need to up the hp on both the 5.3 and 6.2 as they have been this way for at least a decade.
Overall great truck, I have a high country and you really can’t tell the difference. You save with this one. Great choice.
I bought this same truck last week except it has the 3.0L Duramax and running boards. Adding a BAK Revolver X2 tonneau cover. Love it and the mileage is fantastic. Chrome haters back off!
2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ 5.3L V8 10-Speed Automatic Z71 OFF-ROAD Package Crew Cab 4X4!
I've been able to price a LTZ optioned well for only $51k....the deals are out there now.
Ben your reviews are extremely well done your an asset to RUclips
Love the LTZ for the chrome!
I swear the body reminds me of the 73-93 Square bodies, I hope 🤞 Square body2.0 catches on with these body styles
Ben would you pick the LTZ over the GMC Sierra 1500 SLT?
Still 25k overpriced. But who am I? Nice review.
Agree but as i get older i know i am suffering for “50 years ago price memory expectation syndrome” 😆 i couldn’t take my 95 year old mother to the grocery store because she paid 9 cents for a loaf of bread in 1932 😂 i’am the starting to be the same way i think. I bought a new 89 turbo trans am in 90 for $22,000. Owners are asking $60-70,000 now which blows we away but then again $22G invested at 5% would give you $120,000 today! Sooo maybe 60,000 isn’t that bad 🤪
True if people would stop buying them maybe the price would go back to normal
Everything is overpriced now-a-days. Remember paying .35 cents for a can of soda? It’s what it is.
What would you pay for this?
Couldn’t agree more, all of them are way overpriced for what they offer and it’s crazy how people actually buy them.
I have a 2021 charger rt trying to trade it for this but i dont know give me reasons to get a truck instead a sport car
Looking forward to a 2024 Trailboss 6.2 review
Big seller for this model is the ventilated seats that are automatically equipped with leather or a leather-like material and power retract mirrors. Other than that good video. Ltz basically is optioned out save for the multiflex, trifold tonneau, and
Power retractable side steps vs. Others. Preferences will decide how important these are to people's individual situations. I personally prefer black to have enough chrome to make the only wheel option work properly and with remote start and the factory ventilated seats black, with good tint of course, would offset and so fla heat and humidity for me to make it work.
Hey Ben, could you mention the bed size in all of your future videos? Thank you
You can tell it’s the extra short bed GM calls it short box . Vs the standard short bed . Short box is around 5 foot 7 inch vs the standard short bed 6 foot 7 inch . There are only 2 options in this 1/2 ton truck can’t get the 8 foot long bed
Is Bosse available on sierra?
What would be a normal price for this?
The wheel design SUCKs on the 24 models
Yep, they should have updated the 5.3 eons ago, which is part of the reason I respect Ford for innovating more in their powertrain options, controversial as they may sometimes be....Ford is still getting my business in '24
With a 2 inch lift, it becomes a super fancy trailboss!
During the drive through I noticed a substantial amount of glare coming from the chrome on the dash. This is a dealbreaker for me as it is sunny nearly every day where I live. Never understood why OEM's use highly reflective materials on the dash / gauge clusters. Maybe the LTZ isn't for me afterall...
The interior in person doesn’t glair at all.
Say what???????
If I could afford it that is the one I would want, either 5.3 or the Duramax
Very cool Silverado!

I would like it when I'm watching a truck review if they would cover the towing capacity. The only reason a majority of people get a truck.
LTZ seats are markedly softer/comfortable than the lower trims.
I like the 5.3L because it is proven please don’t change a thing.
Very nice, but I'm waiting for the YUGO truck 🤣
Working hard to convince us cause he knows it too
I rather go with the WT package that's a better value in my opinion and honest truck no bells and whistles just basic as it gets roll up windows vinyl floors easy to keep clean.
I like diesel .
I agree it is to much
I recently picked up one of these trucks with the 5.3. I also have an '07 with a 5.3. I know they're different engines, but still...
The newer one seems to have a little bit more punch, not a huge difference, for the same displacement. The different transmissions are far more noticeable.
Other than better acceleration, I don't know what real benefit a little more hp would have outside of bragging rights. I would've gone for the 6.2, but they're not easy to find and/or the dealers put crap options on the trucks. Even in the Houston Area where I am. A dealer has like 350 Silverado 1500's. 6 of them will be LTZ packages with the 6.2. Then no Z71, no technology package, etc. In my opinion if you're not going to get the premium package, technology package, etc., why get an LTZ? GM should allow the 6.2 as an option for the LT Trim.
I am very happy with this truck. I was able to find one that was a year old, very low miles and every option available for SIGNIFICANTLY less than a brand new one and I think what I paid was too much, but the market is what it is. I had a good trade in that was paid for which made my out of pocket cost very low. The same truck with the 6.2 and all of the other options would have ramped up my cost by $12-15k which just wasn't worth it. The 5.3 is plenty good enough.
I always liked the theory of buying a lightly used 2-3 year old pickup and let someone else take the big depreciation hit in the first couple years. But I have to say, in my market in central Iowa dealers are asking only slightly less than what they ask for brand new. For example, a 2022 Silverado LTZ with 25,000 miles with the 5.3L listed at $53,620. Brand new 2024 is $66,000. It's always been my experience that with rebates and incentives dealers are more willing to negotiate price and/or options on brand new as opposed to used. So let's say I could get them down to 50K on the used and 60K on the new, let's call it a $10,000 difference. I'm sitting here thinking, damn, if I'm spending $50K or more for a pickup I better be getting exactly what I want, color, options, so on and so forth. I guess it's not that hard for me to justify the 10K gap when I get 2 more years of life out of the vehicle and it's exactly what I want. Now if it was $65,000 brand new vs $40,000 or $45,000 that is significant in my mind.
@@k.c.wingert7179 The difference between my 2022 and a completely matched 2024 is closer to $20k, not the $12-15k that I originally posted. That was too hard for me to justify. I was going off 2023 prices. Even in the Texas market that I am in, trucks are just insanely priced right now.
i test drove 1 wasn't a fan of few thing's of the Silverado so i decide to go with a 2023 Ram laramie... note to Chevrolet.... if you're watching comment's, work on the finance side of making deals, Chevy had very poor deals compared to Ram ..
both trucks were about the same price but they each had something better then the other, Ram by far was better for looks and luxury, but the trusty Silverado had better payload then the Ram so if anyone is buying please pay attention to these factors
Junky resale ram huh. ? Good luck.
Rams are good Trucks specially the Laramie, but the residual Value for those units are horrible.

75% speed to hear him
Best value? A common working man can't even afford this without a ludicrous loan.
$67,000 and it comes with transmission problems, what a joke. smh.
it is not white metalic color.
2 or 3 years again the work truck base price was at 29k now the base for the pick up is 45. That's 67 percent increase for for something that won't last past 10k miles without faulty transmission or lifter engine problems why are we still supporting trash
I betcha my '07 Silverado will still be on the road long after this 2024 is scrapped.
So for the Silverado is being a piece of shit I just bought another brand new one and I just had one blower transmission and 71,000 miles. It blew a motor route 51,000 miles. It’s absolutely ridiculous they’re getting ready to get a big lawsuit.
I’ll give you 50k take it or leave it
The narrator talks to FAST!
That's a baseline trim, rather have a off road trim Chevy doesn't make a true off road pickup
67k....gm still smoking crack. That's a $38k truck lol. Of course all vehicle manufacturers are lowering prices. Nobody buying. People still don't buy these, prices will continue to go down to right cost. Don't over pay for metal on 4 wheels that insurance rates are crazy due to cost of them.
When do you think prices will lower
State Farm charges me $47.00 a month for insurance for my ‘24 LTZ. Thats reasonable.
@mitchmerle5774 I call bs lmao. No way are you paying under $50 a month on a vehicle over $60k if totaled, lol.
@@Mr.WS6 Well I am 63 and I could show you the paperwork from State Farm, now, how much money are you willing to give me?
@@mitchmerle5774 BS!
Chevy is much better than ford
