Doesn’t feel like a horse. What about any of these mechanics make it say horse? What’s it tribal identity, and how does this feed into it? Try this on for size: 2WG - Horse Avatar 4/5 Horse, Pegasus, and Unicorn creatures you control have Trample, Flying, and Lifelink. Whenever you attack with non-horse creature, you may tap a Horse, Pegasus, or Unicorn you control and the attacking creature gains horsemanship until end of turn.
Go for flying, first strike, life link. I think giving indestructible and ward is a bit to much. Great design though. Also the last line could be reworded as "Whenever you cast a horse spell you may scry 1". Just ideas for you though.
This would be way to powerful. Keep in mind there is sliver cards that give all slivers indestructible and haste and trample and +1/+1 and every ability except defender, and, phasing and banding. Where are those slivers come on Wizards.
I don't understand what it's supposed to do. Is the ETB trigger supposed to be "until end of turn" or do you need to keep track of which horses have seen the ETB trigger throughout the game? It's also very Keyword soup-ey. Indestructible + Lifelink to all your creatures is just unfun if its supposed to work indefinitely. Compared to some of the most busted commanders of recent times, it's not exactly broken, but I don't think it follows a good trend. love the image, though
@@poweroftheherd7395 Ahhhh. Much less broken. Honestly pretty weak. You could probably shorten the key-work soup and make room for another ability then, if you wanted to.
Not rewording to be pedantic, Im rewording to help it seem more legitimate. (No period after keywords). "When Siegfreed, the Horse King enters (not saying 'the battlefield' because it seems like that wording will change in a set soon), each Horse gains flying, indestructible, lifelink, first strike, ward 3, and menace (I would hope/assume 'until end of turn'). [Line break] whenever a player casts a Horse spell, scry 1.
Having a tribal deck with a temporary boost in the command zone is so good an idea I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. It is a but pushed, but I don't think it's as bad as some of the other comments are saying. The worst thing about this card to me is that there just may not be enough horses to put in the 99.
Either until end of Turn or Keyword counters. And there are 45 horses, so should be enough. Also there's a Card creating 5/5 horse Tokens :D Edit: and you could also use changelings as horses
I think a card like this needs more specificity with how it works. If the keywords it gives to other horses are until end of turn, why not say it is? It's an ETB trigger, after all.
@@dragonfeets2032 horses don’t have that they have only have keleth, shadowfax and bill the pony so mainly red white but not 5 color or anything so that’s why I design 5 color horse custom cards that could possibly be made by wizards
The way this is worded makes the Lord effect permanent and not apply to new horses that enter after this is cast which is not how it would be worded ever. "Each horse gets..." what? Till end of turn? Or is it "Horses have...." Get is used when something is temporary, if it is something permanent while a card is out is should be worded as follows. Flying, Indestructible, Lifelink, Firat Strike, Ward 3, Menace When Seigfreed, King of Horses enters the battlefield other horses get Flying, Indestructible, Lifelink, Firat Strike, Ward 3, Menace until end of turn (or) [Horses have Flying, Indestructible, Lifelink, Firat Strike, Ward 3, Menace]. Whenever you cast a horse spell scry 1. Now as for balance, this is quite strong if the later of the two choices is the correct one. I would instead have it have something like whenever you cast a horse spell you scry 1 and all horses gain your choice of Flying, Indestructible, Lifelink, Firat Strike, Ward 3, or Menace until end or turn. Therefore you COULD grant them all, but it would slow down the horses a little. Since creature type is easily abused with Maskwood nexus AND shapeshifters. I would probably remove either ward or Indestructible off the card as well as that is just nasty together.
I didn’t word it the best I know but I was just trying to do an idea part for a card and I need to reword it but I like the concept for what I was trying to do with it but I’ll change some things with it
@@poweroftheherd7395 Sorry if I came off strong, I like the concept overall and just a slight tweak with wording and one of the two removed and I think it would be fine. I personally would like scry 2 instead of 1, but ehh scry is always nice to have regardless.
wayyyyy too pushed to be balanced at all. if you want a horse commander example, you could look at shadowfax for a baseline. also, keywords should have a cost. ward 3 is probably worth 1 extra mana, indestructible is worth 2, then lifelink, menace, flying, and first strike all together should cost 1 more for each. then this is on a 5/5 body, so 4 mana at the minimum, and if we overlook the abilities being spread onto other horses this is already 11 mana baseline. I'd say if the cost was 12 mana it would make a lot more sense for these abilities, but you have it costed at half of that
