    Same thing just happened to me. I bought pedals, I just didn’t have them on at the time. I was surprised that he pulled me over in my own neighborhood, because I’ve never had problems with cops before.

      @@BestDasherAlive It was an unmarked suv car, and the weird thing was that he never asked me for my id. He just kept on with what I was doing was “illegal”. I guess as long as you have the pedal kit on your Surron, you should be fine.

      you sure it was a cop? if it was, using an unmarked vehicle to harass an ebiker over pegs? wow...

      @@BestDasherAlive At this point, I don’t even know if he was a real cop. He had sirens and lights on his car, but he definitely didn’t know e-bike laws because he wouldn’t budge and kept saying it has to have a license, insurance, esc. Kept telling him 750 watts, class 3 e-bike, and it was sold by a bicycle company in California.

    Exactly why I went to my local sporting goods store and bought $12 pedals and screwed them on. The peg brackets are threaded for standard 7/8" pedals and to tell you the truth, because they are wider and spin on their axis, they are WAY more comfortable to ride with than the tiny ass pegs.

    • @BestDasherAlive
      @BestDasherAlive  Год назад +1

      I have wider pegs not stock (stock pegs def uncomfortable)

    3000W motor will never be legal even with stupid useless pedals that only endanger your safety more with less stability! Cops seen me on Surron countless times and so far none have messed with me. Always scan for police and never do anything stupid around them unless you want trouble!

    Yeah these bikes are starting to become more problematic, but mainly where I live in SoCal. I'm 20 and bought my Ron bcuz I don't want a car LMAO. Places like San clemente and Dana Point (and maybe San Juan Cap) are starting to become WAY more strict and cuz I'm planning on moving to Dana sometime next year, I'm definitely going install my pedal kit when I get a new spindle (spindle bolts came over torqued from factory and made it impossible to install the kit by hand) and the bicycle seatpost from Kaniwaba as well. Ruins the personality of the bike, but is cheaper than getting it impounded and possibly getting it crushed 😅.

    When doing door dash on an ebike or bike, do you need to tell door dash that you’re on a bike?

    Definitely have had the app send me out to random places with no service. One time dropped me twenty minutes in a forest so I luckily memorized the route back otherwise that would've been rough. The E-Bikes are getting cracked down upon a lot recently. Mostly because they are a cheap way to get access to speed without actually needing any safety courses or licensing that the government makes you complete. For kids I get it, but adults know how to ride a bicycle lol. It's not a motorcycle and doesn't have that much weight to it and so if you can't handle an e-bike at speed then you probably shouldn't be riding or driving anything lol.

      I ride my road bike faster than most ebikes

  • @HandiNap
    @HandiNap 2 года назад

    Sur Rons from the factory are class 2 ebikes which in California are street legal (with no license or registration) but that’s if you don’t cut your limiter (which we all do if we are being honest). Really just don’t get caught going faster then 25mph in front of a cop and you should be chillin. Been thinking about dashing on my sur ron so these videos are great Ty brother 🤝

      All he cared about was the pegs never even brought up speed or anything else. Just wanted to harass me about it… besides mr pig it’s been so much fun on the Ron have fun!

    Honestly, I think you’ll agree with me but door dash needs a wait time meter where you get paid for the time you wait for a order when it’s not ready. I mean Uber eats and grub hub has it but yet door dash doesn’t. Also, you should do a video of is it worth being a top dasher or not, people need to know this from you.

    • @BestDasherAlive
      @BestDasherAlive  2 года назад +1

      if you can do 30mph and 30-40 miles on a charge you can do some damage in an area where 3-7mi orders are consistent. get two batteries or upgrade battery to double the range or have two ebikes and now you can do damage all day long thats the hack 👍

  • @shawnhunt2332

    Come On ! You know the pedals on an eBike is the ONLY way to NOT resemble a motorcycle.
    You say yours can go either way (peg or pedal) , Then you know what to do.
    Pegs are no good , you can not milk it home using pas1 with one bar on battery.
