I had a seventeen year relationship with someone that knew I had herpes. He never caught it & we didn’t use condoms. I just made sure we didn’t have sex when I felt an outbreak coming on. I could always tell.

Just a couple questions, do you remember what you and your boyfriend were eating when you had "caught" his cold sore infection, and how shaved was his face? Also what dietary philos were you following when you had contracted your herpes infections in general, and what are you doing now and have you noticed any differences with following any specific dietary modalities? I just saw a woman who completely reversed all of her extremely aggressive herpes outbreaks of all kinds with the carnivore diet for example. Also Im worried that sticking to the blaming a partner and trying to pin cheating on them could be significantly more harmful for health and relationships then ones infection status itself. I saw a news report about a woman murdering her boyfriend for having supposedly "given her HIV," followed by a news report about a guy getting a positive HIV diagnosis after having been in a completely stable and commited relationship. I think that the blame game of who may have cheated may be worse then the status itself honestly, especially considering the false positive rate with the actual tests.

Dear Alexandra,I have a question. I'd like to ask for your opinion...
    I have Herpes o & g too.
Since then I fear and avoid doing make up,because I always think, when I touch my mouth or genitals and then wash my hands,it's never enough, and I could get herpes in the eyes by for example removing eye make up. I also read, that completely short fingernails are a must and you must avoid wearing nail polish, longer nails or especially fake nails because this way you can't remove the virus by washing hands/nails and can smear it to the eyes or other parts,is that true?
Plus, showering is another problem,I always did the body first (then wash my hands),then hair and face, but the whole herpes in the eye topic turned into a Phobia,so I try to avoid even something Important like that. It's awful I know 😢.
Please help me, do I have to fear this so much? How do you handle all of this I have mentioned ?
I'd be really thankful if you answer.

Hi, warm water and soap will already kill the virus. If herpes would survive all of that, all people would be having herpes all over their bodies. :) Basic hygiene will do the job ;)

I'm just venting, so excuse me, but I don't understand why HSV testing just isn't apart of getting tested, without requesting it ourselves. Do we know what the reason for that is? I find that ridiculous. Because somebody could actually be doing their due diligence and feel as though they are being responsible by getting tested regularly, but what if they don't know this information? I have heard that some places and doctors do it but most of the time it has to be requested. I am grateful to say that it was always included in my testing but I didn't know that information at all! I always just asked for full STD testing and that's what I got. But I find that very negligent on behalf of the health industry, doctors, whoever is involved with that decision.

Yes you're right and many people feel the same when they find this out. There are probably several reasons. They claim that 'knowing is harder than being left in the dark, especially if you're not getting any symptoms.' So, if it's not a problem for you, why would you want to know something like that? Agree or not, that's the logic.
The second reason is that herpes is usually not a cause for concern for medical community. It causes annoying blisters and in most cases that's the worst that it is. It's not detrimental for your health.
And then, consider all this: money. An extra test that will possibly cause unease and even worse in people for knowing their diagnosis, for a disease that's not a concern: why 'waste' the money for it?

Hi, have you heard of the "bud wig protocol", it increases oxygen in people, if you search youtube you can find it, I make mine like this, 3 tbl spoon cottoge cheese(regular knudsen brand) 1 tbl spoon flax seed oil, blended with the hand blender thing if possible, emulsify or somthing, and eat within 5 minutes, you can add berries for flavor but they say if you blend them do it after cheese and oil is fully melded, if done daily I imagine it helps alot, I am doing it right now for stuff and it help with robust health, it is for many things, the lady I learned from said she did it for two weeks and arthritis pain was gone, any way, thanks for your videos!
