Are Tostitos chips authentic tortilla chips? No but, they make tostilocos with them in Mexico City. So fried corn tortillas with carne molida (ground beef), salsa, queso(cheese), lechuga (lettuce), and tomatoes sounds like Mexican food to me. And it's not just Tex-Mex because in Kansas City we love fried tacos too.
