_Excellent coverage of subjects_ *and* _quite deep on the dives for content!_ [Subbed]
Never hear about these aspects on YT and learned some more about the PS1 online feature. 👍🍻
Beyond what appears on Wikipedia and other sources, purportedly, system-linking the earlier PS2s for the following are not _consistently_ making the lists :
🔴 _Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon_ - the iLink logo is on the back of the case of the NTSC-U/C release (SLUS-20613 and might be a possibility for other regions?) Yet, iLink is not mentioned in the manual or shown anywhere onscreen/in menus....
👉 Is it a feature only available upon game completion or mission-unlockable?
👉 If it requires a button combination sequence to get the systems to link (as is the case with NTSC-U/C's Unreal Tournament when connecting 3-4 systems) , what is the button sequence?
👉 Has the feature advertisement on the PS2 case art been verified to be a misprint possibly due to having pulled back on the feature or not having made it to the development process at all while it had gone on to system-link over ethernet on Xbox? A mix-up with the dev.s?
🔴 Supposedly, _AFL Premiership 2005_ - for Australia (not clear how many s400 systems) [in addition to its online capability]
🔴 Supposedly, _Gaelic Games: Football_ - for Ireland (again, not clear how many s400 systems)
      🔴 _Gran Turismo Concept 2002 - Tokyo-Geneva_ (up to 6 systems)

Yeah, this is the most in-depth coverage in one video of these hardware and accessory topics I've come across. Currently, if you want more info about the PS1 browser software, try checking out [Lightspan] videos at GameRaveTV YT channel. I believe he is closely affiliated with someone who was doing the sleuthing and exploration.

5:09 - The PS1 mouse controller works great on the PS1 for supporting titles.... If a keyboard could have been implemented alongside the mouse controller or, otherwise, a PS/2 PC mouse with that SCPH-2000 dongle (or, as per the other image online, the controller-cabled version adapter), the likes of RPG Maker and Fighter Maker, as examples, would have been a much better navigation and text entry proposition if not also for your mention of the PS1 online activities.

6:31... 6:40 - (That pic is of an ethernet LAN on GT4 - as per the slim PS2 shown and the image centers on the side screens....)
⏭ ⏭ The iLink/s400 3-screen wraparound attempt for GT3 was flawed. Also notably, reportedly, GT Concept 2001 as well as GT Concept 2002 also support s400/iLink system-linking up to 6 systems, each.... Wouldn't think they had the wraparound screen sorted over s400/iLink since GT3 hadn't yet but I haven't been able to test any of that here.
🔴 (....Back to GT3's flawed, 3-screen wraparound: ) The left and right screens' images are centered at 90° left and right of the driver which resulted in a viewing gap between each of them and the center screen graphics. Also, IIRC, each and every race has to be paused at their beginnings to select the correct PoV for each of the side screens = tedious!! ... IIRC, as I do when racing ToCA Race Driver 3 online or LAN, I utilize a small, 3rd-person PoV screen set above my driver's PoV screen to supplement my viewing-spatial awareness among other vehicles since the left-right panning is limited and side mirrors of the PS1 era were dropped. This configuration for an overhead 3rd-person view _might_ benefit GT3 and GT4.
⏭ ⏭ ⏮ ▶️ It wasn't until the ethernet LAN support was substituted for the outgoing iLink/s400 on GT4 when true wraparound screens were achieved and without the hassle of selecting the correct PoV for the side screens at the beginning of each race.... Not only did GT4 support and remember proper viewing centers for 3-screen but also 5-screens along the vehicle horizon plane. Furthermore, a ludicrous option - mentioned deep in a vaporized or forgotten forum post - was that of an _additional_ 3 ~elevation screens above the [middle] 3 screens (which wouldn't appear to add much to the experience other than "immersion" in tunnels and overhanging treelines/lightpoles/overhead roadways?) . That ridiculous add-on makes for a setup ranging from 6 screens (3+3) or 8 screens (5+3) for a driver. 🤯 .... Haven't a clue if there's a maximum screen capacity in the LAN when there is more than one driver...
⏭ ▶️ Again, the benefit of the ethernet LAN settings on GT4 allow PS2s and B-C PS3s to not only communicate to eachother for a given driver's PoV but also know what angles of view to display to respective screens around the driver, automatically.

Recently recalled that GT4's three elevation screens might have been (part of) what was marketed as the WRX or Subaru (WRX) [Rally?] experience at commercial demonstrations. It would make some sense since I have, on occasion, taken a jumps in ways that nosed the car so far down that the geographic horizon was lost beyond or near the top edge of the screen. The three elevations screens in such a scenario would have been there to give visuals above the vehicle's horizon plane in addition to seeing the overhead trees and the tunnels pass near-overhead.

I'm not sure if it's what you mean, but Skylanders Swap Force did something similar with having upper and lower halves of each purchasable character that you could mix and match. There were 16 toys, but as you could pull them apart and swap halves with each other, they advertised it as having "256 possible combinations!"

FROM Software would have made millions in revenue from the Armored Core series .... 😳 If it weren't for the plethora of virtual parts that would have very well created a model-toy production barrier - a ridiculous number of customizable options to produce the parts for that line of product. 😆
🤔 You know (a tangent here...) , in this day and age of 3D-printing availability through third-party vendors, it is a ripe time for FROM Software to create a relationship with those vendors to link players to 3D-printing services for every given player's mech for display in their bedroom, den or office (an engineer's decoration). Such an option could have been an interesting prize to have at LAN tournaments. The expense could ramp up when it comes to applying color especially since you always had the ability to make custom schemes over the entire mech and emblems for your AC clear back to the PS1 (if you had a mouse controller) and PS2 (USB mouse) eras. .... FROM would have to be comfortable giving such depths of access to their digital assets for creating 3D print files, though.
