It is so hard for me to understand what type of people would want a psychopath leading their nation.
Looks to me like morons and other billionaire psychopaths.
His supporters do not see him that way. Fox and other right wing media have created a fake Trump that in no way matches the real Trump. The fake Trump is selfless, loves the USA and its people, and has fought terrible prosecution and witch hunts by the deep state to represent the average American. Everything Trump does is for THEM. I am not exaggerating. This is the Trump they see because they are in a shrewdly and cynically created MAGA bubble.
They're so ideologically captured to the point that they can't even begin to perceive it that way.... Which is also equally hard to imagine
Even harder to understand why the dems couldn't choose a healthy winner. We've had 8 years to figure it out. We still haven't figured it out. All of our energy is spent HATING TRUMP and it's gotten us MORE TRUMP. Great. Thanks everyone.

Been thinking and saying these exact things for some time now, in addition to the handmaid’s tale remark, if people aren’t scarred they truly should be. This would affect ALL Americans, not just one side. I’ll give an example. I have a trump supporter in my family who doesn’t want to hear anything other than their daily talking points from faux news. This individual survives on social security and medicare and medicaid. Which republicans have tried and failed to end those programs, but if trump is elected it’s gone. This is just one example of many, but my overall point is those who are willing to vote for trump are literally voting against their own interests in the name of culture wars. Insanity
Trump's voting base is different than his economic base. The people who he panders to, will suffer the most.

And project 2025 also wants to increase the interest on student loans which could almost triple the payment. It will cripple the next generation.

I love their relationship so much. This is the most listenable pod right now. Solid and interesting perspectives that don't always agree or disagree. Plus, Kara constantly trying to herd Scott is organically hilarious. The aunt and uncle at Thanksgiving that your family hates, but you absolutely adore.
I just talked to my uncle and aunt down in Texas.... immigrants getting social security checks is false right? Like I'm worried we have different facts. And how the heck would someone without a SSI number get a check?
