10 Ways to Build Custom Gears in Lego Technic

Hi,
in this video, I show you some ways to build custom gears. Don't take it too seriously, I just want to showcase some ideas, I know they are not really useful.

Maybe you could use the lego tires as gears in the and gate. Use one input to turn the wheel gears to close a path, after the path is closed the wheels will slip on each other and not put strain on the input.

@@adrian_zombturtle148 Yeah, normal bricks don’t have the freedom to move like the technic bricks. So it’s almost certainly impossible. But if it is It wouldn’t be small.

Do you have research for different gear ratios? The lego gears have a limited ratios or you have to build a complex gearbox/geartrain. Sometimes you need a custom gear ratio so a custom gear.

Most of them are obviously 1:1, and I honestly don't think a custom gear with a custom ratio would be smaller than a small gearbox with the same ratio. The turntable could be a unique size, though...
