the selfie camera is terrible... only when used at a distance of less than a meter the pictures and videos are ok, everything beyond that is blurry and unusable!
on the main camera, the focus is good only in the middle, while the image is also blurry at the edges!
@@techlife823 sounds like aperture problem. maybe fixable in the settings. lower the aperture to remove that effect
A55 colours look sm more natural
All the salty people that purchased a S24 and hate that the A55 is so close in performance, lol! I would be annoyed too tbh.
I'm thinking about getting A55 since S24 also has Exynos and costs almost twice as much. I think the downsides for A55 are the processor and the zoom quality but I'm not sure if S24 with Exynos is two times better. Regarding the cameras, S24 looks a bit more saturated in my opinion (others might find it colorful), while A55 takes more realistic photos.
Current prices where i live = S24 550euros vs A55 280euros ... For double the price for S24 i think A55 does a phenomenal job.
Im surprised the human portrait looked better on the A55. And the night photos was sometimes better on A55! Wow

For its price, the A55 5G performs exceptionally well! I'm currently watching this on my A55. The only downside for me is the lack of a telephoto lens, which I use on my A72 to view distant objects. However, this isn't a major issue because the A55 5G has a premium feel, unlike the plastic build of the A72.

IMO the difference in colours is irrelevant because you can fix them in your editing software. You should actually try to get as close of a result as possible. It would be interesting to see if you can match the S24's colours using post FX on the A55 or the other way around.
Is it advisable to have a Samsung account with a Samsung phone ?...... If so what are the advantages ?......
Better to have it as in my case a day back: I got A55 and transferred data from my iPhone 13 pro max, and I forget the Samsung account password, so I did not add account and as don't have that sim linked with samsung account. And I obliged to do factory reset when I forgot screen lock password. If I had a Samsung account on it. I would have been able to go on lost phone and bypass screen lock.
Samsung need complete overhaul of their cameras for the next generation. They've been stuck at this level since S22 and really need to up their game with larger sensors.

I bought the galaxy a55 yesterday and it's easily the best phone ive ever had
Camera is amazing for £490
Flagships are good n all but they are not needed so i went for a cheaper option
I think overseas it is sold for 350$ or even comes together with a carrier plan

Switching from my old S20+ is a real pain.
Really need that SD Card support and the A55 5G size is perfect for me, but the camera is mediocre at best due to mediocre chipset and I know the performance is gonna tank eventually. It will turn into a burning furnace at this heat too.
S24 Plus would be a perfect fit for me but it isn't sold here in Japan officially (we have only S24 and S24 Ultra) so I'd have to import it and have limited mobile internet due to some bands being unsupported by local carriers.
I've tried the S24, S24 Ultra and A55 5G in a store. S24 is too small, S24 is too big and blocky, A55 feels just right and has SD slot, but has the worst hardware and isn't future proof.
Watching reviews trying to choose one while suffering temporarily using A22 5G as a replace.
Wish I could buy a new s20+ indefinitely. Even despite the possibility of green/pink lines on the screen.
But it was also never sold officially in Japan, and you can only find some used ones with a degraded battery.
The local smartphone market is pretty limited - it's basically just iPhone, couple galaxy models, several sony xperia and sharp aquos models, sometimes even a google pixel, some ancient flip phones or feature phones (yes, that's still a thing and my workplace just issued one for me too, ugh) and that's basically it.
S24 series is more natural approach, darker shadows less sharpness ,, the A55 is amazing for its price but still too phonesh kind of photos

That's a good question. I think it'd be a close one in regards to photography. However, most people consider the iPhone to still be the best for video...so it would be a challenge for the S24 in that department

I love the photos from both but in your video recordings it seems like the A55 can get blurry during motion while the s24 remains crystal clear and more stable. Would you deem this accurate?
I noticed that as well, small detail starts to "jump". But the RUclips compression may also be a factor.

please avoid a55...cameras on this phone is very bad also and display! i buyed this phone and i'm very disappointed!
Don't listen to this person I have the phone and it's fantastic. Battery life is awesome, cameras are great. It's snappy and fast. I'm well happy, got mine for £340 absolute steal. It does 90% of what a flagship does. And I know because my last phone was a flagship phone.

But I could have gotten the A55 as well. And I would have if I needed the money for something else.

Well, we may hope it is better. But the difference is not so huge.
For a friend still having an S9, the A55 might be perfectly fine and great.
