I had a lad called ederson from Brazil who was a mercenary. It showed in the transfer saga as he was set for juve and I hyjacked the deal and bought him in. He was ok with a 10 goal season as I won seria a. Was a bit annoying at times but overall he was manageable
@@4tyu3318 Oh yeah fickle/mercenary is indeed still "manageable", just as long as you realise they have no loyalty towards your club 🙂

One personality I tend to avoid is unambitious especially when that's mixed with low determination - this is due to the fact that I try and build determined squads so that wouldn't mix well.
I sometimes buy unambitious players but their determination needs to be above 10

One potential upside to fickle/mercenary is that, while most other personalities will respond negatively to offers of more money to convince them to stay at your club, fickle players will consistently respond well to this kind of offer, giving you a riable option that will keep them in the fold if they become unsettled.

Unambitious is one that comes through intakes a lot that I avoid. For me small chance to remove it. Due to lack of ambitious will never reach their potential
Correct Daniel! The ONE positive thing about "unambitious" is that they also don't really care about moving to another club 🙂 But that's about it!

Are personality hard coded or can you change it by mentoring and how long does it take ie poor training facilities and semi professional clubs
I used to ignore it until recently, now my squad at Leicester is mostly made of ambitious/determined personalities which has led to back to back titles, a champions cup and euro cup. I don't even have the best squad on paper, just good chemistry and personalities who work hard.

I had a fickle player in my Newport save....Jan Rita I think the name was.....he turned out to be.a great player and never had any problems with him...although the save was lost after a computer service so never got to see how he eventually turned out
Yeah a fickle player will not be the biggest troublemaker if you manage to keep him happy and don't have too many other (higher rep) clubs come in with offers. Oh sorry to hear about your save being lost though Phil, that sucks! - Leyo

I never sign any level of injury prone player, ever, no exceptions. Although I did once have a player who had that trait then lost it a few years later so maybe good physios sort it out or something. I also try to avoid very inconsistent players if I can but its easier said than done and I NEVER purchase players who have ANY dislike for big matches. That's pretty much it, the rest can managed or trained out of most players.

I had a fickle player in my save he became ambitious after a year of mentoring so it’s not that bad but I’m surprised easily discouraged isn’t here cause I’m pretty sure they always start with max 2 determination
Thanks Barak! Fickle is indeed the "most manageable" of these personalities. Easily discouraged is also bad, although they CAN still have high professionalism and high sportsmanschip. "Low determination" is the exact same story, but with somewhat higher determination than "easily discouraged". - Leyo
@@TheManagersSeat in the same save I got a player from the youth academy who’s easily discouraged after some mentoring he became low determination and has 2 determination tho happened after a month of mentoring but he seemed to stagnate since then 9 months forward I did it just for fun he doesn’t have high potential or anything

Can I request for a video giving us direction how to groom and manage youth players into first team squad players? I'm having difficulty especially when they get too old for the youth team but not good enough for rotation yet in the 1st team. 20yrs to 22yrs mainly.
Good idea Edwin, thanks! Our main suggestion would be to loan them out, but make sure they will actually play! The fact that they get that playing time outweighs the fact that they will possibly play in a lower league.
@@TheManagersSeat any suggestions or tried methods to get the reserve team promotions to higher tiers? Would really be useful to have young players benefitting from the club training facilities etc and playing at a high level
My long term save is RBL. The reserve team plays in semi pro league only
Not really to be honest... I also don't know if the "max" tier those teams can be in is hard coded into the game maybe? - Leyo
