I don't know about 'Success'. I do know I'd rather Retrain you than Remove you. And I do some deep diving Youth Training and the like. So I might have a 15 Year Old on my Professional Team, assuming I can Train him better than they can... and when he says "Good morning, Coach. Very grand to meet you, indeed. I'm Toby, and I play Left Wingback." what I say is "Toby, you're 15. You're nothing, you don't have a role yet. But give me a second, and I'll give you one. Oh, look here, we have something called a Pressing Forward... and you are 6'6". Congratulations Toby, you're going to train very hard and by the time you're 18 and need to play to develop more we'll see how you've grown into being a Pressing Forward! Welcome to the Team!"
This is one of the most beautiful videos I have ever seen! Gotta say, as soon as you've said that you wanted to put Grealish at DM, I smiled from one ear to the other! Excellent vídeo
Can you do a 433 or 4231/4231DM tactic where your IF/or IW will get the highest possible average rating? It’s seems like it’s always your forward who gets the best ratings.
Good video. But i don't know if it's still the case since i haven't played FM 23. But in most the other versions a player will drop in PA if he become natural in a new position. Lets say he have 170 PA and can only play striker, but you train him in CM and he become natural on that position his PA might drop to 165. Just something to keep in mind before people start to train a player in a bunch of different positions/roles.
Like you, I know this was the case in previous FM's, so I suspect it's still the case now. What I don't know is how that would work with a player who's CA is already at their PA
@@TheManagersSeat when you retrain a player, their current ability increases so that there’s less room for their attributes to grow. so id imagine that a max CA player cant be retrained
Just starting a southampton save. Not inspiring to find in ur simulation they got relegated lol. But great suggestion on retraining under performing players!!
The stats required for each position are highlighted on either the player info screen or on their training screen when you select that role for them to train in
This was one of the first roles we considered, but the game already has him as an accomplished player in that position so we decided to go with more of a challenge!
Have you had success using position re-training? Let us know your results!

Thank you for the incredible support - glad you enjoyed the video!
Really nice video. In my Man U save, i've retrained Sanch as a mezzalla, to give me depth in the midfield.
Interesting. How has he been performing as a Mezzala?
cheers for the heads up on what to look out for when retraining players
Always a pleasure GT

I am now doing an experiment where I take players and retrain them and see how they did. I'm doing Matip at anchor and Firmino at carilerro

If anyone can keep them up it's you!
Please make part 2 this is greattt
All 3 looked like they’d be best in the AMC role. 🤷🏻♂️
Interesting. But a different role for each perhaps?
what about a midfielder to IWB?
How do you try this at home? Is there a way to find what best stats fit the position of the player?

@@TheManagersSeat thank you 😊
I used to play Sancho as a F9
His perfect role might be SS though.
You should retrain TAA as a midfielder

Maybe a striker?
