Absolutely brilliantly laid out, shifting attention to figuring out what went wrong in the build up to the goal, something I'm guilty of ignoring myself at times. Top work as always Llama!
I've cut out goals like that and I have drop off more in the instructions. I have 2 CDMs so they sit just in front of the defence. My Lincoln team conceded the least number of goals in the season just gone as we were promoted from league 1, my keeper had 19 clean sheets, 2nd most in the league. The goals I mainly conceded were from corners or 20+ yard potshots.
You can get any striking role to mark a DM. You could ask your striker to mark their striker if you want! I've found they do it more effectively in the AM slot as they take up attacking positions that mean they are naturally in place during transitions
@@TheManagersSeat Of course, for sure. But strikers expected to be runners and pushing the opposition defensive line would fall short from time to time if I give a marking instruction to them. Support roles expected to drop deeper can include checking the opposition DM into their natural flow a bit easier. And I just wanted to share in case anyone reads has a striker has the ability to play deep but isn't familiar with the AMC position. Just as an option. Plus, interaction :D Thank you for the answer by the way.
At lower leagues I keep tactics simple and don't use a lot of extra instructions, so these tips are good. At top league levels with good teams I'll also use OIs to close down the players who are the best passing combinations, which I find use using the scouting & analysis data given before the match and during the run of play.
I have a similar problem in my Inter save. If it's not a long ball over my defence, it's a through pass. And other times it's set pieces or just crosses
Hi, nice vid. All your advice/changes are valid and will be beneficial. You could also use a support striker instead of DLF to close the space in midfield. Also slightly narrowing team width could squeeze that space in midfield. I have two questions/queries. Firstly, does the step up/drop off instruction also influence midfielders as well as the defense or those players on defense duty? Secondly, if a BWM has a high level of aggression will the BWM possibly get dragged out of position because of a strong urgency to win the ball back? I ask the first because I don't know the answer, and the second because of something connected to players with high levels of aggression in another video.
Im living that problem. But in online game. My friend keeping scoring me in that way. But i dont like to lose vs him (who like to lose). But i feel the online game is harder then the solo career. I've tried all the block, low or high...but i think im not at his lvl. But now i feel i can stop him! Thank you
Request: a video about how to get your players to make more killer through balls on the ground. My guys always try to go over the top, but they’re terrible at it.
personally i feel like players are not tackling enough i went back on my goals and i conceded few goals like you but one of them i had 3 midfielders right next to griezeman who put a pass into the striker who scored or other types were a winger crosses it in while there is a fullback marking and not putting in that tackle i also feel like marking is poor im barcalona and yes im top of the league but i didnt make it out the champions league group stage in a really easy group lost the super cup semi final 4-0 to real madrid and the spanish quater final cup 2-1 to valencia tldr im conceding more and loosing more in the big games more offten than not even when im barca first season, Sporting CP vs barca champions league 0-0 celtic vs barca champions league 1-1 real san sebastina who are figfhting for euorpe 2-2 ajax vs barca champions league 1-0 loss sevila vs barca 3-2 win ajax vs barca 2-0 loss real madrid vs barca 2-2 celtic 2-2 sporting 2-1 loss real madrid 4-0 loss
That sounds frustrating. Have you tried using opposition Instructions to tackle hard on particular players, such as wingers if you are conceding goals to crosses? Maybe with trap outside and stop crosses?
@@TheManagersSeat I have trap inside on because were heavy in midfield using a 4-4-1-1 2dm so 4 at the back to DM a LM and RM both on inverted on attack a number 10 and a PF. Op instructions isnt somthing i really mess with
i feel like the removal of defensive width has hurt the game a lot.

Too kind H2. Thanks for the support
Clearly the best tactical minds don't need hair! 😉 👌 😂
Neither to the least tactical, in llamas case

Supporting striker roles like DLF(S) also mark DM position, so you can cover 3 midfielders without pulling a striker.

So informative and well presented/explained as always. Great job!
Thanks Jon. Glad you enjoyed this one

You are completely right with your observations about lower leagues - less is definitely more when it comes to instructions
Ricky Gervais = Instant like.
It was the obvious choice!

That's a great suggestion for a video. Before we can make it, we'll need to get our thinking caps on about how to achieve it
Absolute bloody lifesaver.
Same thing, seems my defense cannot catch strikers running.
Great video!
Only down side to clean sheets is the clean sheet bonus. Cheapskates like me don't like paying out those bonuses.
That is a good point, excellently made!
Then again if u have fast striker Vs defender with low pace I feel like it won't make much difference
Tried. Now the opposition defenders and Goal keeper started to Provide long balls to The spce between my Goalkeeper and Defensive line. 😅😅
Is it just the attacking midfielder with the player instructions
I usually like a central midfielder (usually a ball winning midfielder) with 'mark tighter' and 'hold position' too
The same exact type of goals u concede over and over and oveer
Lower defensive line doesn’t work. Need to move higher
Now can u help with conceding from set pieces please I'm also struggling with those 😢
That is a good suggestion for a video. We'll see what we can do
Conceding the exact same way mate.

i also feel like marking is poor im barcalona and yes im top of the league but i didnt make it out the champions league group stage in a really easy group lost the super cup semi final 4-0 to real madrid and the spanish quater final cup 2-1 to valencia
tldr
im conceding more and loosing more in the big games more offten than not even when im barca first season,
Sporting CP vs barca champions league 0-0
celtic vs barca champions league 1-1
real san sebastina who are figfhting for euorpe 2-2
ajax vs barca champions league 1-0 loss
sevila vs barca 3-2 win
ajax vs barca 2-0 loss
real madrid vs barca 2-2
celtic 2-2
sporting 2-1 loss
real madrid 4-0 loss
