The scariest thing when going through the coaches was that two of the ones you picked up were formerly Alex Ferguson's assistant managers and you didn't even realise

Zealand - I've been trying out a Head Coach challenge on my save; basically you only handle tactics and training; you let the DOF deal with the transfers in and out (with your minimal input). Be interested to see how you find a challenge like that one!
Not really. He is still a decent player, and he would probably do alright in most clubs. Hes flopped at United, but so have many other players, and that club in general is a parasite.. When I watch him, I see some weakeness, sure, but he still is a decent player, and theres more that can be extracted from him, in United, or elsewhere.
I been playing these religiously since 97/98. I’ve spent literally years of my life on these. On steam I tend to get 1000+ hours a year and I’m sure I played more when I was younger than I did before steam
Best Tip is when your looking for new staff at the start of the save search for HOYD without a club, with a min of 15 for tec-tac-def-att there you will find newgens that you can sign as coaches for the first team or under18/21 coaches ( your welcome)
Zealand, I love this video. 1) It is informative and showed me how much you can hack a team apart on day one, and 2) The music helped my tired pregnant wife fall asleep. Thank you sir, you are a gent and a scholar.
Your next save should be a youth only save or 1 nation/region like Basque. Makes it interesting being limited to what players you can use and more to do with development, tactics and management.
Interesting to see how you do your coaches. In my Gladbach save, I have a majority English coaching team bc I am English managing in Germany. I like to imagine it helps me communicate with my coaches (it makes no difference realistically). My assistant manager is also the same age as me and can speak fluent German. I like to imagine we are good mates and he helps me with German words. Little things help immerse me lol
The first hour of each new iteration for me is spend downloading megapacks, licence fixes etc. The news that the Premier League will be officially licensed for 2025 should theoretically save some time in that regard.
As a United fan this video basically sums up the disgust fans have with the club, ridiculously overpaid players which can’t be shifted caused by poor management above the manager. This type of board controlled transfer structure to be fair isn’t represented that well in FM and although I think many would hate it, it would add realism for clubs like United or Chelsea.
If it makes you feel better you got me curious...and just FM 2015 - FM 2024 I am at 24,153 hours. Here's the really crazy thing, and I am not "proud" of this. I am neurotic and probably insane, but literally, I have never skipped a single press conference (since FM10)

One of my greatest fm achievements was managing to get a fee for martial. It took two seasons on fm24, I extended his contract (1 year option) to be sure we got a fee, Southampton spent 20 million on him. Absolutely insane. He stuck around the epl for 3 years with them, scoring a hefty 10 goals.
19:30 i always spam friendlies in preseason (every second day), particularly in my first season when I want to build tactical familiarity and build player relationships (also builds form/momentum). Doing the math at the start made me think of myself and games I played in the past, I used to play COD4 religiously for like 11 years. I left the console on and stuff but as far as I am aware, I put in around 42,000 hours in 11 years. I imagine that about a third of that is dead hours, school / sleeping, shopping, vacations etc. Doing the math, it sits around 43% of those 11 years were cod4 (2007-18). I would sleep for like 4hrs a day, go to school for half the day (I missed a lot) and sacrificed my social life. Yes, I played other games during this period too, I reckon around 60-70% of my time was gaming (14-16hrs per day on average), usually around 2pm - 4am then all nighters over the weekends. *this assumes the 42000 number, its slightly less if we use around ~30000 of playing time* Yes, I realise that this is incredibly sad. I sacrificed education and social life in the process, lost relationship opportunities, friendships and the start of my job opportunities.
Can people remember the Depotivo player Djalminha in FMs past? He always fell out with his club so you could buy him cheap but then he immediately fell out with you as well, he was incredibly broken.
wasnt expecting such a chill vibe from the video, especially with the levels of hype the streams can get. doesnt mean I didnt enjoy it though, matched nicely with Z focusing on a different scenario from his usual low-level club saves.
Huddlestone is a player coach, they’ve had this role in the EPL for a while now, it was Paul Mcshane in the past. I think because he did play for a long stint he’s available in game, player coaches are only available in u21 and below or reserve fixtures I believe.
I play this game since CM 98, pick Juventus, and voila, Zidane and fippo ready to play for you. But, I never play it to detail like you, and I amaze how yours dedication are more than mine 😄
