If you live in DC a few years ago, The Chipotle Company were doing an experimental company called ShopHouse where it’s fast casual Asian food (mostly influence by Vietnam). I thought it was a cool concept, but never took off. I hope ShopHouse returns because now these fast casual Asian restaurants are popping up.
The BLOCK in Annandale VA and DC is bringing Asian fast food that really has a next level taste. Shout out to Lucky Danger, ABC Pony and Moon Rabbit in DC. Love the Fung Bros.
Really like this episode. People just like tasty food (better if also healthy) in a clean, welcoming spot and convenient way. Love new ways to serve less oily tasty food
There's a bunch of Georgian restaurants that have pop up in NYC in recent years. Honestly, i think you guys should have saved Cafe Delia for a NYC Georgian food crawl. Restaurants to include for Georgian food crawl Cheeseboat, Chama Mama, Old Tbilisi, and so many others in Brooklyn and Queens
Thank you guys for all these great places!! Everytime I go home to see my wife, we always go and try a bunch of restaurants in Chinatown. My wife is Puerto Rican and is in love with you guys. Thanks again!!
Just tried 5ive Spice and have to say the short rib pho was as well as their short rib bahn xeo taco was sauce dripping rich and delicious. They’ve topped my craving for Madame Vo’s pho with an equally rich but different tasting also delicious broth. Tried the pork and shrimp taco as well as fried spring rolls also delicious. Only caveat is a busy place can have your head spinning by the end of dinner. Staff is excellent. BTW, My first bahn mi was under the Manhattan bridge where Hak Box is now located. The crew took their time to crisp the bread which was airy, light and crispy. With the pate for the first time and pickled veggies was heaven.
Hey guys!!!😍🥰👍I really think ASIAN food has come into it's own recently it has become soooo popular from ramen to fried snacks to hot pot etc.I love your videos they are very informative and educational!!!I love how you always explain the history of the culture it's really important for people to know!!!!I think you guys do such an AMAZING JOB ON EVERY VIDEO !!!!!THE FOOD ALWAYS LOOKS OUTSTANDING AND I LIKE HOW U GIVE IT YOUR HONEST RATING!!!....FAN. FOR. LIFE!!!!!!!👍👍🥰😍💙💕❤🤩🎈
Bun Bo Hue is one of my fav @ 8:53. That needs to look much redder. The annatto seeds that's used to make it is not spicy at all. The chef can make it really red without it being spicy hot. Btw, Bun=noodles, bo=beef, and Hue=Vietnamese city of origin.
At the Georgian place yall shoulda tried the Adjaruli Khachapuri that actually has the whole runny egg yolk on top not just the cheese. That stuff is outstanding.
I love wrestling the difference between Advaita and Dvaidadvaita, which your statement seems to say 'there is no real self, the self is illusion'. Dvaitadvaita states that the self and the All are both real and for example I am both the self and the all at the same time. Clearly regular logic says you can't be both but for example I am both seperate AND a part of everything.
@@actuallyrelaxes5831 To elaborate the colloquial understanding of self transcendence is that a person through their willed actions gets to a moment or period of self transcendence. But with there being no self to transcend, and in turn no self to do the transcending, the illusion of self only dissipates. Non-Duality✌️&♥️
@@Abell_lledA Right that would be Advaita, no difference between self and everything. There is also Dvaitadvaita which is like a paradox or contradiction. The self is identical to the universe there is no self. AND the self is separate from the universe or all, there is a separation. So when someone says 'yes and no' that's what I mean. Yes transcend the self and there is no self, and yes there is a real self to transcend. Both at once. Paradox, but only with this lower logic. That's how I see things :) Mr. Nimbarka
My issue with modernized zero person interaction ordering systems, is the fact that there is no in person interaction. People still ask that question "whats good here?". Now it may sound pretty obvious whats good at a ramen shop, smokes bbq joint, a fish and chip store, etc. But sometimes you may miss out on those hidden menu items; that ramen shop may do killer Japanese cheese cakes too, that bbq joint does better chicken then their ribs, the gyro at the fish and chip shop is something the owner prides at doing well...you probably wouldn't know about those looking at an iPad menu vs having someone there ready with a recommendation.
@Fung Bros Another good scoop on the cuisine of Asian food and the future changes it may have. I’m still waiting on information on that Puma Taco Hoodie Chilli Sauce bottle. I’ve looked high and low their website. Couldn’t find it and phrased it different. Even as far as emailing U.S. Customer support. They were useless and can’t even provide information on that specific hoodie. What is the name of that hoodie or if you can give a lead to one of your U.K. subs, please.
wild rice or brown rice being healthier than white rice is a myth. rice is rice, what you're eating on the wild rice is the shell. you're still eating the white rice underneath. so still eating the carbs just with extra fiber.
Disappointed by Panda stopping the potstickers and rangoons. Sometimes that’s all you want and not to make at home. Need to find not as pricy place here in SLC. I was so spoiled in Seattle & Bay Area.
Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, maybe the only 3 countries located in Western Asia where they do not claim they are from Asia. Heck that's all Western Asian people.
@@Nahnahnah2002 then they should just edit out the entire dish lmao. they literally leaving that in to hit certain video lengths? sort of a really ridiculous oversight in my opinion.
All love but I keep hearing Vietnamese egg rolls (cha gio) pronounced wrong lol it’s “Ja-yaw” not “Ja-yo” but respect for trying we know you are Chinese.
Wow. These guys pronunciation of vietnamese food is getting worse and worse each video. This is why Richie was not the best person to be teaching vietnamese. His pronunciation is super bad for a Viet and he taught his friends horribly wrong

Oh man I miss that place. It’s sad that they went out of business
I tried it twice during a past interview trail... thought it was delicious!
I used to go to the one in Rockville at Pike & Rose - loved it!
The BLOCK in Annandale VA and DC is bringing Asian fast food that really has a next level taste. Shout out to Lucky Danger, ABC Pony and Moon Rabbit in DC. Love the Fung Bros.
lmao the block. yuck
Love you Fung Bros for delivering great content and staying relevant. West coast love

Digging Marco's openmindedness!

MILK TEA AND EGG TART SOFT SERVE, I MUST TRY THAT OMG
The egg tart soft serve was basically just...vanilla flavor 🙁Puff pastry was good though, just needs more
Are you sure this Italian brother don’t have any asian dna in him?!
Omg!!! I need to try these places the food looks amazing honestly Panda could never! & thanks for putting me on to Bokksu!!!
Thank you guys for all these great places!! Everytime I go home to see my wife, we always go and try a bunch of restaurants in Chinatown. My wife is Puerto Rican and is in love with you guys. Thanks again!!
Banh xeo tacos and fish sauce wings have been around for a while here in Orange County, CA but very happy to see it popularized in NY 💯
wow man I used to watch these guys back in 6th grade and now I'm in college. Memory lane is a bitch lol
That Georgian spot looked so good! Love Marco’s willingness to try everything, he’s so nice!

LA not a bad place for Asian cuisine but damn this makes me miss the NYC food scene 🤤
marco(??) seems like a great guy overall. dude seems cultured and open to trying new stuff.

Love the homely vibes from Milu! Can't wait to try it out one day along with the other new modern-wave Chinese cuisine in New York

Marco is so adorable
Some of these look like things that have been around in SoCal for a while...love that awesome Asian food is poppin everywhere
Another nice long video with the 3rd Fung bro!
Thank you
fushion restaurants poppin up everywhere!
Omg I love banh xeo...but in taco form, it makes soooooooo much sense!!!
who remembers Korilla? that was a korean fast casual place. pick your rice, pick your meat, pick your toppings, pick your sauce.
I only heard about them from them being on the show "great food truck race". Always wanted to try it. 🥲
I frequented that spot when I used to work around astor place. Very delicious.
The "bun" in bun bo hue is pronounced like "boon" not bun like hot dog bun. Lol.
zouth boom bo hue
At the Georgian place yall shoulda tried the Adjaruli Khachapuri that actually has the whole runny egg yolk on top not just the cheese. That stuff is outstanding.
One doesn’t experience self-transcendence, the illusion of self only dissipates🎈

Y’all don’t give Marco enough credit
that was a weird way to end the episode however still great. thank you and keep up the good work
@Chinah Bring it to Scottsdale/Chandler, AZ! So in desperate need of authentic, high quality, accessible Chinese food here.
We got friends there telling us the same thing! Thinking about it :)
That was cool to include the Georgian food , good video as usual guys
Asian foods is the moment....welcome to the Asian century!

Thank you for that Zelda shout out ~ 18:30
The title made me think it was going to be about Junzi Kitchen, or Nice Day Chinese.
David when that spice hit you 😆
25:11 omg! He’s wearing a pizza crust puffy jacket.
Banh Xeo tacos are GENIUS if you think about it. Traditional banh Xeo is basically a big-ass taco, lol.
Omelet?
@@saber26ful No, crispy rice flour
Banh xeo is too thin to hold any legitimate topping tho. Any type of topping, mainly the proteins stick out lol unless you mince the pork/shrimp
Seen it around for awhile now and actually played with my own version before. The batter is fried crispier to hold everything in.
Salad with white rice is life. Ask any Asian-American household
HK comment here. How come we don’t get such good new Chinese cuisine concept in HK? Sad
Yum yum 😋 thanks for sharing
this guy def has yellow fever
Bun in Vietnamese means noodle. Bo is beef. Hue is the city in Vietnam. So Bun Bo Hue means Beef Noodle from Hue.
Mad respect to Marco for reppin' the Anaheim Ducks! #anaheimducks
btw, can’t believe the first watching u guy’s video was literally 7yrs ago!
sheeeshhh I love this guys man
Yum
"that's what chu do, that's what chu do"
yo they been ordering like that in China for years. US is finally catching up... and still in chinese restaurants lmao
9:29 is that Konro from Indonesia? But the soup is too clear it seems..
Aloha guys. Wish we had that food where I live. ;(
Ayyeeeee chinahhhh🤙🏾🤙🏾👏🏾👏🏾I’m a worker there thanks for showing love
Mans got a death grip on that elixir @18:30

Hmm, is this show the cutting edge of the food commentariat or have I totally missed the now? Vietnamese vibed brussel sprouts???
14:05 🤣🤣🤣
Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, maybe the only 3 countries located in Western Asia where they do not claim they are from Asia. Heck that's all Western Asian people.
A lot of Armenians understand that they are West Asian.
Thank you very much for this clip.
they just need to franchise or find investors...
chi nah is great, as long as theydo not charge 12 bucks a bowl
How old are the Fung brothers???
Maybe in their 40s now ?
Early 30's, went to college w/ em
banh xeo tacos?! 😱
Fact : Asians foods are the best around globe.
yall introduce dishes and then just randomly skip over reviewing + talking about them entirely... who the hell edited this ?
I think they do that if they don’t have anything positive to say or shorten the video.

Get someone to open a good Asian restaurant in Bronxville, NY
Maybe Chin Nah
Notice how low the non asians hold the chopsticks? Lol.
I like watching your show but the fast camera move is making me dizzy in every scene and it’s sometimes blurry.
what is um um GEORGIAN Sausage ?
1st restaurant everything was green!! Didn’t look good.
Hey this white guy looks different than that Joe guy from a few years ago 🤔
Fusiion = Confusion
Did you change camera?, some images are dizzying. And too often out of focus.
ok but if the price is high 90% of asians will not go to this high expensive store,
😭🤣😭
🥰
milu isnt fast food bros, cannot compare to panda espress
Boys yellow mask looks like it's made for kids
Green hat?
Oh Khachapuri.
I really think China town , the name should be changed. Asian town is better.
damn marco ordering the basic stufff :/
Wow. These guys pronunciation of vietnamese food is getting worse and worse each video. This is why Richie was not the best person to be teaching vietnamese. His pronunciation is super bad for a Viet and he taught his friends horribly wrong
