Thanks for sharing. Just my opinion... I am done with GoPro after several years of being loyal. The voice commands are great. The reliability is a big issue and the image quality is way behind DJI's standards. As you say the pocket 3 has it's limitations out in the field, especially in rain and dirt. That's why I think I am going to get the Action 4 for my metal detecting videos. Once again, thanks for sharing.
Useful video, thanks. I have a GoPro HERO8 Black and am considering the Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo. Going into libraries, museums etc I need it to cope with low light - still mulling over the best options.
Nice information. I've been going back and forth on spending the extra money on the Pocket 3. I will use these types of cameras for work as well as taking them on personal trips, and there will never be a perfect "all in one" single device, but the less I can carry with me, the better. I was tempted to just get a gimbal for my GoPro Hero 10, however I do have the Max attachment which definitely helps with keeping the image a bit more stable, however at the cost of having to film at a slightly lower resolution. It's not an issue if I'm filming outdoors of course, but anything that's lower light just doesn't look very good. I've heard great things about the low light capabilities of the Pocket 3. But of course the GoPro is more robust and can be out in the elements more so than the Pocket 3. It would be great if at least the weatherproofing were better for the Pocket 3. Even if the gimbal is a bit fragile, it would definitely make it a better choice eve if it wouldn't work under water. I still may get one, because like you, I feel I could have the need for both. I already have the DJI Mic system, and I kind of wish it would work better with the Pocket 3. I feel that this decision for it to not natively work with it was a bit of a misstep on DJI's part. Then I would have just purchased the battery extender for it or used it on a battery handle (I have one for my GoPro) and not have had an issue FINDING a creator kit. They seem to be hard to find right now with it being out of stock almost anywhere online I've searched.

100% pocket 3 for the low light based on the bigger sensor.
