I am remote worker thinking about relocating ,but I am trying to compare Sparks Reno to Carson City. I’m currently living right outside of Las Vegas so I need to know how high my property taxes are going to be. Also car insurance is extremely high where I currently live does Carson City have the same amenities that you would get in the sparks Reno area where I currently live I have to wait 3 to see a doctor or a dentist. Also shopping is a pain. I have to travel across the river to get to any shopping, looking for somewhere that I can take 10 minutes to get to grocery store shopping also parks for my dogs lastly, there is no fiber optic Internet in this area where I live so the Internet goes out all the time. Does Carson City offer any good Internet service for remote workers
Hi there :) In answer to your questions. Property taxes in Carson vary depending on the age of the home, if your purchase an older remodeled home around 1700 sq ft the taxes estimate about $1,600 a year, if your purchase a newer home it's around $4 - 6,000 a year. Carson is still like a small town and everything is close by , grocery stores, gas, restaurants, etc. We have nice dog parks too. We do have excellent internet service through spectrum. The difference in Reno/Sparks area it is a larger population so more traffic, but there is more shopping available. Personally, I only need to go to Reno occasionally, all of my Doctors and everything is here in Carson. Please feel free to email me or call if you would like to talk more in person. rhoid@hometownnv.com or 775-315-7137 Thanks! Rossalyn
Nothing bad about the place. Recent expansions have made shopping more convenient
Winters are miserabley cold with wind.
