Nice review. I started out sup surfing on smaller boards and was struggling to make progress. One day I got to try a whopper from another surfer and caught a lot more waves. I bought one and love it! In choppy conditions this board is just great. A real keeper.

I just got my hands on a 2021 version and it’s really fun. Same dimensions as usual but way lighter and catches everything

My first board was a Whopper too, an ex rental but the best choice ever, then I bought a new Wide Point which is very good too but I did break the point within 2 weeks on a sandbank. My weight was 100kg a couple of years ago so I needed a big board,

Hello I enjoyed your video. What size single fin are you using in this video. Thanks in advance

Hello, appreciate the review. Was wondering what fin you are using for the longboard fin ? Thanks.

i was using a 12 inch long pretty wide fin something you see on the classic 60s longboards

@Elliott Hubanks the board is squarely with the stock set of fins so without a bigger set on hand I took my big fin out off my longboard

Hey man, nice video! I’m thinking on getting a 10’ x 34” whooper and I weight 100kg, is it enough for me? Can I cruise and surf, even if it is smaller waves or will the board be too small?

yeah it will be more than enough ! if you have the chance demo one with a few different fin options

@@kalikokahoonei4781 hey... thanks for the reply. That’s the problem, there isn’t any boards to demo. I currently have a starboard big easy and I’m thinking in selling so I could get the whopper. Anyway thank you for your answer

@@jonassonjp the big easy is a great board too ! just changing fin set up can make that board work amazingly well and feel like a new board

Enjoyed your review of the whopper ! Iam 55 years old looking to get
Into surf sup , at 98 kg can’t decide between the whopper or the avanti ? Just looking to catch some small waves would you recommend the whopper or any other hard board
