too many people ignore the grueling work conditions, safety hazards, and toxic exposure in the supply chains of *cotton T-shirts* for example. I’ve watched a short documentary on that example and it’s more informative than this “conflict minerals whatever” hype-storm of the Internet.
@@tnynfox1669 The issue of conflict minerals is relatively new in discovery and attention compared to fast fashion supply chain issues. Both issues are important, one is not more important- no one is saying this- except you. Respect people's determination to bring human right's violations to light, and if you, yourself, are passionate about the fashion industry supply chains- do something about it.
yeah, funny how one doesn’t feel this helpless about the grueling work conditions and toxics exposures of making *cotton T-shirts* and *meat products* and just gets off on this “smartphone-whatever” hype.
The Conflict Mineral Wars in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo came to my attention after 2004 as the region bars road access to Kisangani where I try to contribute to faith based community development along the Congo River and its tributaries. Today there are not even any commercial flights to the international airport at Kisangani. This situation of ongoing conflict and oppression suppresses the development of Kisangani as a central Africa hub port. Kisangani has 4 harbors! The AU indicated that it wants to silence the guns in Africa by 2020. This had not happened yet. When will the Church and the world, if it really cares, take note and act to alleviate these horrors. Or will the Church, governments and Western powers ("war lords") remain silent as long as we can progress communications and war machine technology upon the blood of innocents in the eastern DR Congo, into perpetuity or proxy wars against Russia?
No one is asking is how are these minerals found that has lead to these military groups taking control over them? They must have some sort of outside help, helping them find these ore veins...
The countries that he shows are the countries that most African Americans go if it not Ghana or Nigeria they are in Uganda, Rwanda mostly , Burundi, Kenya, and Tanzania
Dylan Peters yes it is. But almost nobody cares about the human suffering in the supply chain of *cotton T-shirts* etc, and instead have stuck up on the Internet hype over electronic minerals.
All the grueling work conditions, toxics exposure, unfair wages, and safety hazards of making *cotton T-shirts* for example, and then all the scare hype goes to electronic minerals instead. Seriously get your priorities straight and do more than the hype.
Keep it up. This is close to my heart.

This is so heartbreaking. Feeling helpless is the worst part.

exactly i often wonder about the outside dealers and crooks,
It's the US government using Paul Kagame. To steal these minerals.
The mines are already set up they just take control of them with force because it helps them keep the war going.
Tech companies
