    Hallo and good evening.
    It's so beautiful to see the changes in both of you by watching old videos and researching the personalities of you both and i find it like that:
    Jen becoming more German and finding the German culture more joyful and easier than before and Yvonne becoming more flexible like a Guatemalan.

      That could get quite complicated, as the prices for local public transport vary in the individual regions / cities.
      And also the various annual and monthly tickets (passes)
      Usually there are student tickets, day tickets, week tickets, monthly tickets, professional tickets (= employer organized) -> the prices change depending on the grouping in the region.

    Thank you for the informative content! It helped a lot. I have one question though.
    When renting an apartment that requires schufa, what is the minimum time that a landlord usually wants to see on the report? I know it may differ from situation to situation, however, generally speaking I find a temporary housing that allows me to do anmeldung, do you think would it be possible to rent an apartment with a schufa that only has a record of a month?

    • @simplegermany
      @simplegermany  3 года назад +1

      Hey Ekin, I do think it is possible. At the end of the day each landlord will act differently. But if you can proof financial stability and a schufa (regardless of how old it is) you should be able to rent a flat, especially if it is only temporary housing 😊 Good luck!

      Merhabalar, anmeldungdan önce mi sonra mı schufa alabildiniz? Almanya'ya bu ay taşınacağım ve ev arıyorum. Fakat sanırım ev sahipleri schufa istiyor. Schufa ikamet istiyor, ev tutmadan nasıl ikamet kaydı yapacağım, kafam çorba oldu :)

    • @ekinbirol
      @ekinbirol Год назад

      @@cansuyuce9065 Konu biraz yumurta tavuk ilişkilisine dönüyor. Teknik olarak banka hesabı açabilirseniz schufa alabiliyorsunuz ama çoğu banka anmeldung yapmadan hesap açmanıza müsade etmiyor. Ev tutmadan anmeldung, eğer bir tanıdığınızın yanı mümkün değilse yapamıyorsunuz. O olmadan da schufa alamıyorsunuz gibi kısır bir döngü.
      Fakat n26 gibi bazı dijital bankalar adres kaydı olmadan hesap açmaya izin veriyor. Bildiğim kadarıyla bu bankalardan birinde hesap açıp schufa alabilirsiniz. Fakat yine de ev bulmak çok kolay değil. Anmeldung yapılabilen Wunderflats gibi kısa süreli daire bulabileceğiniz siteler var. Bunlardan birkaç aylığına bir daire bulup, anmeldung yapıp bu esnada ev aramak görece daha kolay olabiliyor.
      Öğrenci olarak geliyorsanız ev bulmak daha daha zor ama bir iş sözleşmeniz varsa ve net geliriniz aylık kiranın 3 katı ya da üstündeyse görece daha kolay olabiliyor.
      Bunlar can sıkıcı ve zor süreçler ama elbet geçiyor. Size bol şans ve sabır diyorum. 🍀

As of writing, Vivid Money declares they do not report anything to Schufa which I am worried that I may not have any entries there. Does Schufa get entries from elsewhere?

      You automatically start having a Schufa 'record' when you do the Anmeldung. You don't need to actively built a record, but rather keep it positive. There are lots of other companies that may enquire with the Schufa, such as gyms and internet providers and other service providers that come with a contract.

    I've never had a credit card in my entire life, and I'm moving to Germany in about 5 months for school, & I would love to know more about how credit cards work in Germany. Things like: should I get a credit card before I leave or after I arrive in Germany? If I pay for things on my credit card and pay it off with my bank account does that raise my credit score? As a student should I get a credit card from the same bank where I had to deposit my money in a locked account until I arrive? As a student do I even really need a credit card if it's not necessary? Ive only ever had debit cards before so I have no idea about how credit cards work in Germany and only recently learned about how they work in the US. Im terrified of them bc it can be easy to go into debt, and since I don't have any debt id like to keep it that way. Thank you both for all that you do! Im learning so much from all of your videos. Thank you for this helpful content. I have a question: Is it problematic to get a Schufa, when you are registered in an owned house from a family in a city. But you live in another city in an apartment where it is just a Zwischenmiete without registering in that city. Because I am just doing like a 6 months preparation course for entering the University as a foreigner. and I didn't really find an official rent in that city so a friend offered me to stay at his apartment(Studentenwohnheim) under a "privater Mietvertrag" while he is gone for a praktikum. would that be Problematic, after I move in to another official apartment? if so, do you have any idea how I can solve this problem. I am saying this because I am going to move out next month or after next month (it depends when I will find a room :*) ) to Duesseldorf to study and I am scared if I get asked about Schufa and this situation gets in the way

    • @simplegermany
      @simplegermany  2 года назад

      So starting a record of the Schufa happens automatically when you register first. It doesn’t matter with what kind of flat you register as long as you are allowed to live there. When you move you can re-register with your new flat (Ummeldung) without a problem. Hope that helps! 😊

      Hey Amir, that depends a bit on what service the contract is for and where you sign it. In most cases you have a 14 day period of withdrawal from the contract. Have you tried ordering it directly from the Schufa? We explain how in our guide: www.simplegermany.com/how-to-get-schufa/#How_to_get_a_SCHUFA_report_in_Germany

    Hello, ladies! Just one quick question: What would be the reason for a bad score on a newly opened schuffa report? To be more clear, I don't have any financial problems (no undue payments, no multiple bank accounts, nothing), but still my schuffa score is 73%. I'm a resident here in Germany since August, opened an acc at Sparkasse in August too, work on a undetermined contract, etc. It would be much appreciated if you could take me out of the dark.
    Thank you so much!

      Tbh no idea. We would request a free data copy to see what is listed and if some things are wrong dispute them with the Schufa and the company that made the false claims.

    Hi I have downloaded the schufa directly online from immoscout, but I can't find the score anywhere. Do you know where it is located?

    • @simplegermany
      @simplegermany  Год назад +1

      The one from Immoscout is just a certificate.The certificate is positive if it says something in the lines of: 'ausschließlich positive Vetragsinformationen'. If you want a report with a score, our guide might be helpful in pointing you in the right direction: www.simplegermany.com/how-to-get-schufa/#How_to_get_a_SCHUFA_report_in_Germany

      @@simplegermany Thank you for the clarifications. So I paid 30 euros for nothing? The document says they found no info on me. Will it be any better if I pay again for the full report?

    • @simplegermany
      @simplegermany  Год назад +1

      It highly depends on what you need it for. The certificate from Immoscout is perfectly fine for landlords. If you want to know your score, just so you know it, request the free copy, as we describe in the guide.

      @@juliette_lummm basicaly if you are looking for a flat, thats what they need to see..Is there something there or not..A paper that you have is as good as it gets..People here do not want to show the score, thats way the score paper is free once a year, and the rent a flat companies want ,what you have...which costs 30 e..If you are clear as you are, no one has a right to ask for your score..
      Many companies do not want even to see your schufa, but a person signes a paper , that they allow the company who rents to pull your data, and they see it for them selves..cause some people bring false papers..

    So, basically you have to establish good credit history in Germany before you can even put money in the bank and even look for a place to live?

      @@simplegermany I enjoy watching you ladies because you are so upbeat and good energy. Germany seems too controlling and things like contracts for everything and government all in your life is not what I want. I got enough of that in the USA. The German credit folks can ruin your ability to live. Putting money in a bank should have nothing to do with credit after all it benefits the bank they already got your money to invest. Paying to go to the bathroom makes me wonder where do the poor go ? Things like that should be free . It keeps the environment clean because that's a biological function not something you can turn off. Do a video of things that are better in Germany like an incentive of why live there considering the cons of living there. I wish you both well and happiness.

      @@Vonkater you know of our sociel system in Germany? No one has to live on the steets and there are much fewer people who choose to do do anyway. Not all public restrooms are charged.
      Every person has the right to own a bank account but the bank does not allow you to go further into dept. Putting money in or out an accond is still possible. The system is very different to the USA . It is just different than in other places.
      Hopefully Yvonne and Jen inform us about that as well
