Is this only possible with photos? I wanna use the 3d camera effect on video as well.

it can be done with video, but you will lose a lot of resolution and you have to plan the shot while filming. you can not really do this completely in post (unless you want to rotoscope everything in your shot manually and reposition the cut out layers in 3d space. this will also make the effect worse, because the cool thing about the dolly zoom is the distortion within the layers, not only the distortion between different layers. ) I would advise doing the camera move in camera (move away from the subject), then add the zoom in post, to counteract the camera move (this is where you lose the resolution, but the effect will work.) Best course of action for live video would be to do it all in camera, but this is tricky and basically only possible with a dolly on a track moving backwards and a camera assistant that manually does the focus pulling simultaneously. Maybe it could also be done with a handheld gimbal, if it supports focus pulling.
