I know this was posted last year, but... oh my, they are beautiful!! I am in awe of the gorgeous colors of the natural eyes. I do believe they are more lively than the artificial colors available today. This is something I hope to be able to do in the future. We shall see what happens.
Yes they are gorgeous, l have a whole bunch of natural material in the kitchen right now, my goal got this years Easter egg video: easy, fast and awesome (we will find out) 🐣
@@wickedaviary I forget to write that I made them for Easter this year. They came out so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial. Your trouble shooting tips at the end were also helpful because I know I would crack some eggs using the hot method and went with the longer but safer cold water method. It saved me the disappointment of ruining all my hard work. I will definitely be doing this every year.
I looooove it!!! Cabbage blue is unreal...beautiful!!! It was a real pleasure watching it,I felt like a little kid, with a big, open eyes,expecting...what's next? Thank you,I admire your work👏👏
This is a lovely tutorial. I never knew you could do any of this and I’m looking forward to trying it out. I got some butterfly pea flour powder that’s a pretty intense blue. I’m curious to see if that will actually dye eggs
hi! i want to give this a shot! i love it! forgive me if it's a silly question- do i boil the eggs before i dye them? or do i gently handle the eggs while covering them for the design, then cook them at the same time they are being dyed?
Yes I did say I add vinegar, sorry I have to be more precise, I just pour the vinegar out of the jug, so it's probably more towards half a cup. Which dye do you have trouble with? I had my eggs in the cold dye for 18 hours
Thank you, I love the blue ones also, l have been contemplating the same as you, how can l keep them? Once you empty the egg shell they just gets so fragile, l did just buy some eggs today to make a new Easter egg video and l will try to come up with a way to keep them🤔also want to find more colours but still all natural😃
@@wickedaviary Thsnk you for your reply. I think I will try it. I’ll empty the eggs and clean them inside and out. I’ll poke a hole in the top and bottom and either blow them out or use a can of air and then rinse them out. Afterwards I will try gluing the small holes shut. This way they won’t fill up when I leave them in the dye. I think if I am carful they should be ok if I dye them according to your video …..just in time fir Easter on its way 😉 Cheers !
I will definitely try that too but I see problems with the empty eggs, how to keep them in the dye without floating up since they are empty. Well Challenge accepted, let’s figure that one out!
Let me tell you, you have done an amazing craft. Thank you for sharing! I also have a question. Did you put vinegar into all 4 jars? For some reason I have trouble getting nice color from yellow onion when I boil eggs. They just come out as regular brown eggs from store. So, I would like to try cold version this year. So, did you put vinegar into all 4 jars? Thank you in advance!
You can add vinegar to all the dye doesn't matter when, right in the beginning is great, l remember l made some without, turned out ok, but vinegar does help, have fun and thank you for watching ❤
Πολύ ωραία είναι μπράβο και του χρόνου με υγεία. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I am just curious, are you not adding vinegar? I am adding 1 tbsp. to my cold dye, but the colors are not getting that bright...

They are absolutely beautiful! Can I do this if I empty the eggs so that I can keep them to display each year? BTW the blue is really beautiful…

Hello Irina, yes l put vinegar in all the dyes l used, I prefer the cold version myself, good luck
@@wickedaviary Thank you very much!

Hi! To the second batch, in which you cooked the eggs in the dye - was vinegar added to that second batch? If so at which point?

May I know if after all the process the coloured eggs still remain edible
Yes they are absolutely edible since the dye is all natural!😋
In the hot method, I assume you do not need to cook the eggs first, as you do in the cold method, correct?
No l did not cook the eggs for the hot dye first but works only with the onion skins, the
Sorry my fingers to clumsy 😁
Only cook the eggs with the onion skins. The other dyes won't take the color that fast.
