I don't understand these YT algorithms. I was looking to see if anyone was recording reviews of MOCs from LEGO Ideas that hadn't gained 10k supporters yet, and YT didn't offer me any videos, only reviews of those already in the pool of contenders. But after I recorded and uploaded my TOP 10, I was suddenly offered this film on the main page xD

There's definitelly too many channels who talk about projects that reached 10000 and not enough channels who are helping those who are still struggling with hitting 1k. Thanks to you, I've learned about two projects I haven't seen. Do videos like this one more frequently ;)

All of these were amazing, but I think my absolute favorite was the Italian villa. It's just so beautiful, and I love the details on the roof
That roof absolutely blows my mind! It was one of my faves when the designer released it in another program called "Bricklink". I really hope this one become real some day 🙂

My favourite is the medieval fortress, but I like every ideas project on this video.

I’m always amazed when I look through these sets. This Forest base was absolutely next level! And the Idea House is such a brilliant tribute 😄
it actually translates to "the best is not good enough" but in english that sounds weird so it was changed to "only the best is good enough" . It's a very "jysk" (jysk referes to people living in Jylland Denmark) idea that anything and everything can always be better than they are. Nothing is ever the best because the best is yet to be achieved.

Nice presentation, however I think all of the houses look a bit overdesigned and they would cost hundreds of dollars. My favorite is the ship, it looks more approachable and is more unique in terms of theme. There are already dozens of buildings, but not that many ships.
As a Dane I was quite baffled by the ''Det bedste er ikke for godt''. First off because the direct danish translation would be: ''The best is not too good''. At first I read it as that the best wasn't very good, like saying: 'oh boy, he doesn't look too good.' But then I thought of very Danish thing called Janteloven(The law of Jante). Its a set of laws that the danish culture is very common with and basically says that you shouldn't think that you are better than everyone else. That means it actually means that if you make the best then its not TOO good. (Here referencing to Janteloven and the thought of not being better than everyone else. Being too good.) You are therefore allowed to strive to be the best and its not considered a bad thing. Just thought I would give my take on the whole meaning behind it.

I've just realized that since 2009, LEGO never made any European medieval fantasy series. Everything what came out later was (Nexo Knights, Ninjago, Dreamzzz, Chima etc.) was too futuristic. Maybe it's time to give some promotion to LEGO Ideas projects which are more fantasy focussed to manifest that sets like this are needed

When they hit 10,000 supporters, LEGO chooses a small handful of them a few times a year to turn them into a real set. Since that one hit 10,000, let’s hope it gets chosen!
Don't usually ask people but there is this set based on ip I've been revamping since 2014 (well 2010 because I built the ravine part with the creatures in real life at one point) so far it failed 5 different versions and only passed 1k once. Would you consider covering it? (only if you like it.) It's my active king kong project. If so you could briefly include some of the older versions. You can see how it upgraded across the years haha.
Warner bros wants to make lego games based on ip and the two original kong 1933 films are warner bros ip. So maybe if it would get made they would make a kong game? A similar ip: Jaws reached 10k twice and got made but no Kong set ever reached 10k.

Does anyone know if there's a way to buy the digital models of idea sets? There are a lot that I'm dying to have but I know LEGO will never actually create them. I also don't like that they end up changing the original designs for the official sets.
They actually experimented with this in their Bricklink Designer Program last fall. A select number of sets were chosen for the pilot and you could buy digital instructions. They would even get all the pieces ready from you from different retailers.
Let’s hope that the program went well and they decide to try this with LEGO Ideas 🙂

I always felt that mocs that get the 10k, but jot made into a set should still have instructions made. So many great sets I have to try and reverse engineer. Knowing pieces and counts would make it alot easier.

I used to think I was decent at making custom Lego sets then I saw these…..
Why is every Lego Ideas project huge? Lego is expensive. The bigger the project the more expensive it is and the fewer sets sold. Are they ever any ideas sets that are just as good as they are small?
Lego is so overrated but not the concept but the actual company. There quality isn’t the best on the market as well as there sets even though there are by far the biggest producer out there. They rarely use prints and usually use stickers instead which destroys the brick and just because it’s cheaper and still they have by far the highest prices. You literally just pay for the brand and the worst about it they are doing perfectly fine
