🚨 UPDATE on audio interfaces: I connected a Focusrite Vocaster two via USB-C, it turns on and is recognized by Ferrite on the iPhone. So it seems the power needs of an audio interface will determine whether you can use it directly with the iPhone 15 Pro.

That is what was driving me insane in your video. You most likely already have the solution which is to use the powered USB C switch you were using at the start of the video. No shit a lot of those devices didn’t work since the port on the phone can only put out 4.5 watts.

Whats the max input charging wattage and is the 15/15max pro different ? What’s the max output video output frames per second and is it 720,1080 or 4K? Does garage band work for touch pads or any instrument with or without type c external power .? Is the audio louder on earpeace and regular videos any better or louder than the iPhone 12-14?

I haven't seen any videos on it so far aside from ssds and video recording. I tried using a usb 3.0 10gb cable to restore a backup from itunes and it was still 50 min to restore. Checked cpu usb headers to make sure it's usb 3.0 and confirmed the cable was working but still was so slow. I haven't tried video but I guess this leads into does it even worth with itunes for data transfer speeds or only videos and ssds in general?

I did this 9 years ago on my android phones. 9 years. 9. That's a long time for Apple to finally catch up to what every android phone, even the ones under $100, can do.

And remember, they only did this because they were forced. They could have done this so much earlier. I like the Apple eco-system, but the absence of the USB-C port on the iPhones was just stupid.

@@blue_ig1his point was Apple was keeping features that were easily implemented from you and others due to their greed.... and now people are acting like they're getting something new and great, when they're just finally catching up to features we've had on Android for literally a decade or more 🤣

    • @obsprisma

@@blue_ig1 That's Apple stupidity. An IPhone user who can not see the point. Sadly for Apple. They can't make any profit out of this worldwide embraced USB-C standard. Cables are very cheap. 10 usb-c cables for 1 lightning cable. ok, 5 cables.

That covered a lot of ground in a short span of time and I loved it ! It answered a big question I had in mind which was puzzling me to no end. I could use iPad mini as an external monitor with an app called monitor+ but iphone 15 pro just wouldn't recognize the USB-C cable that was plugged into Sony A7 IV. So for now, I'm going to continue using the iPad Mini until Apple pushes a firmware update to empower the USB-C port to accept video input from a webcam or a mirrorless camera. Thank you so much !
