That 360 cam is cool. I have 200 hrs in a 172 but haven't flown in 15 years. Just kicked my health issues to the curb and should get my medical and back in the air soon. Enjoyed the refresher.
I watched sitting on a nice swivel office chair with my VR goggles on. VERY NICE. This was a good idea. My only suggestion is, if you can, move the camera a smidge to the left so the viewer is in front of the yoke. I was off a bit. other than that, THIS WAS FUN.

Did my first solo XC today, so brain moving slow winding down. Got home, saw new LewDix video uploaded, clicked on it and started taking my shoes off as you got going. When I looked back at my screen I couldn’t figure out why I was staring at the floor of the aircraft! Picked it up and the camera angle moved, figured it out after that lol. @@LewDixAviation That was fun, cheers! Only thing was that the camera turned when the a/c turned, so I had to keep spinning in my chair to keep facing forward. It might be a setting in the headset, not sure.

That is one of my happy places.... your density altitude. Live in Alabama with base elevation higher than FL. But we have similar density altitude on top of our base. Summers in Alabama are un fun with storms and density altitude. Appreciate your videos :)

Very cool concept of the 360 camera. Are you able to move the camera 3-4 inches to the left that way we get the exact POV of a student? It will definitely help student pilots learn by using this 360 camera.

Cool video! May I suggest you set the camera to fixed instead of compass heading - I had to constantly use the mouse to keep facing forward while you were turning... Thanks!

Great video as always lew. Love the 360, especially when in the pattern, means I can look out the right window and spot the turns. My only criticism is when you do turn, for instance during taxiing the camera doesn’t follow so I spent the whole video scrolling around. Not sure if that’s a setting in the go pro that can be adjusted or not. Look forward to your next content 👍

Thanks! GoPro Hero Max on a Ram claw clamp mount. Can be a bit finicky to set up but it works.

Are there flight data recorders in small single-engine piston aircraft like the one in the video?

@LewDixAviation Thank you very much! I have the same camera, but for some reason, it doesn't want to record sound through usb-c cord( does your gopro max have any issues with that?

Nice , how you get the audio so clear ? Are you connecting the 360to your headset?
I recorded on an external voice recorder for this one but my other videos the audio is from one of my GoPros
