Be kind and respectful below. I will no longer tolerate ANY hate or harassment on my channel. ZERO TOLERANCE. If you can't be an adult, you get reported and banned for life. No warnings or exceptions. Thanks, and love to all!
If things get bad, you might appreciate that cb. I would keep it.
I don’t know why people want to hate so much with everything else going on the world. Have a good day Eric I enjoy your channel. I don’t even rv I live in Colombia. I’m a retired marine and travel a lot and you have shown me places I want to visit when I come home.
Use used motor oil that’s filtered. What everyone else does here.
I would keep the cb antenna it's retro and you might need it. Sad that we can't get keys made anymore . Glad that you are home and not in those storms... Great video
🤔Yes not the best. So just get reg motor oil on clearance
my hubby and i are falling in love with your little car there. its so cute and fun looking! and you just answered your own question about getting copies to your keys.. have that locksmith make it for you. and we love that you are doing stuff around your home there, its as fun as if you are out and about. keep doing what makes YOU happy as that transfers over and makes us happy too. 😊
Yes,they are pretty functional little vehicles. On the channel 9252 LIFE he bough an old one for his girls to ride around on their acreage like a side by side. It was cheaper than buying a new side by side ORV.
@@UncaDave good point as those side by sides are way over priced now days!
This looks like some Barbie accessory, all you need to do is paint it pink.
It is very obvious that you really like the Tracker. Have fun!
We love the idea of making the Tracker CB antenna a flag holder and maybe a clamp on camera mount.
All else fails on keys... locksmith. More expensive but usually right. There is one in Show Low.
BTW, I don't change my own oil. Like you I can not buy good oil for what I can get the entire change done. Go Figger...
Check out the Bajaj miatta from The Rad Factory. You need that done to the new ride so you can do some serious off-roading😊
Erick, I am so happy that you have that tire on the back of the tracker. It could save your life.
We were in a car accident where we were rear ended by a big truck. We have a 97' Honda CRV with the tire on the back and not a single scratch on the car. The truck's entire front end was smashed in.
Hope you have a great Memorial Day! We love that GEO Tracker! Good fun, aloha!
Just a suggestion. I would not describe your tracker as a "rig," and the engine size has limitations. Enjoy it for what it is. A Jeep wanna a be...JK have fun.
A suggestion, stop telling people how to call their own rigs. Not everyone needs to compensate for something with an oversized engine. Wars have been fought with the jeep willy and it had half the power
@@sorinvarzaru7430 you are correct wars are often started over foolishness, like offering a suggestion or opinion. Sorry this triggered you. Have a great day.
lol many people will call any automobile a rig. Maybe it’s a country thing…
I have a lot of friends that love these. By the way, you can get a 5 year registration in AZ and it only costs about $40 more. Have fun with it. Can't wait to see where you go with it. Congrats on the find.
I know you must be enjoying seeing all of the beauty of the outdoors with the top down on your tracker. That’s the way to travel! Nice.
Eric...buy you a CB for your tracker. When you and Kevin and others go trailing off road it will be handy communicating.
Nobody else has one right now either though. I do have four 2 way radios though. I'll think about it. Thanks.
@@nomadicfanatic the truck stops carry CB's like the 29LTD $140 bucks.....have you read my question on other comment before this one about solar?
@@nomadicfanatic If you do get one with a weather channel or band, comes in handy.
You can add a flag to the CB antenna.
USPS has us by the ⚽️⚾️🥎🏀s.
Seeing you happier and relaxing is awesome!
Loving the lil geo tracker. My neighbor has a sweet Suzuki Samurai all fixed up. Very similar.
PS- you can just unscrew the tall antenna part from the round base and leave it off 👍
Your Tracker reminds me of my 1990 Isuzu Amigo I had. Very fun vehicles. You may have to order blank keys from eBay. I had to do that for our 2006 Jeep Wrangler. The dealer didn’t have them either. I had to go to a locksmith to have the new key cut, and the Jeep computer programmed since it’s a chipped key. Interested to hear what the issue is with your slide. I can’t imagine those new metal cogs failed.
In the UK that's called a Suzuki Vitara.
I love that Geo tracker, that looked so easy to take top on and off. Glad to see you and kitties so happy.
You’re property is looking great. I just got the county to approve grading the road to my 2 acres near Kingman. And to maintain.
Next is deciding where to put various RV parking.
I had that trouble with my keys, and had to go to a locksmith.
Good video! RADIO: Go ahead and put a CB radio in. The wires and antenna cable are probably all in place. It can be very useful out in the boonies. Even better would be an amateur radio VHF/UHF radio, but that needs a license. HARDTOP: I had a friend with a removable hard top on his sports car. He had a pully rig in the garage rafters that was a cool setup. Take care.
Hi Eric We have been watching you for years and wanted to say thank you for great content and hope all is well. Love the Geo Tracker I used to have a Geo Storm years ago!
Yes on getting into CB. It only costs as much as you want to spend. Plus as others have said it can be a lifesaver.especially when you’re topping a mountaintop in the winter, listening in to the truckers and other CBer’s can make a potentially bad day one you can live through. To make it fun have your viewers suggested what brand to buy. CVK seems like a good resource as well. He’s done you right with your new mattress, Tracker and years ago something big and black to continue your journey around the states.
A CB radio can be a lifesaver.❤😂🎉
I was thinking the same, in these times of war. I used to love to hear the trucker talk on the CB, good entertainment.
Better off with GMRS or ham radio these days. Unfortunately CB radio doesn't propagate very far so 9 times out of 10 no one can hear you calling for help.
@@dwC4u we were on a sailboat 10 miles off the coast of Florida on the west coast and had an emergency that disabled all of the electronics. Fortunately, we had a portable CB radio on hand and we were able to call out, it was picked up by the Coast Guard in Miami. All the way from Marco Island on the West Coast. They said it’s common for it to skip.
@@FaithwalkerToddI believe you are referring to a VHF Marine radio, not a CB radio. They are two completely different types of radio services. The coast guard doesn't monitor CB...
@@dwC4u I use CB all the time when wheeling in my Jeep works great. No license cheap radios everyone has them in the group I go out with. Likely the person who owned it before was part of a off road club like the Zuks of Arizona is a big club.
My wife and I loved our Geo tracker! We went four wheeling everywhere with it.
Regarding the stuff in your storage falling, maybe the change of humidity over the year caused boxes to weaken so any of them with stuff sitting on them might have just slowly drooped and things slid off.
Glad you’re back to having FUN!! Love your Tracker and your lifestyle!!
CB radio was a fun time back in the day. Not much useful any more for various reasons. Your tracker looks just right for towing too!
I miss my 1990 red Geo Tracker. The thing was a go anywhere beast, I could push through a 2 foot snow back with out a problem, very impressive. I wish we had something similar is size these days.
I love how you name everything. Trailer Swift… hilarious.
A small utility trailer would make it possible to bring in larger supplies, such as 8 ft lumber.
Cool tracker, Kevin is a wealth of good information 👍🏻
Sure is!
I like the idea of a compact suv with high clearance. I wish they still made those Trackers. The closest equivalent is maybe the Ford Escape or Toyota Rav 4, but those are much bigger than the Tracker.
Toyota or Ford escape? I don’t think so. Toyota and Ford are way better?
Get your HAM radio license and trade out antennas. It’s always nice to have a ham radio to talk to people and in case of an emergency you have a way to communicate
I have always wanted a Geo tracker since the 80s. That's a real beauty.
I love that Tracker 😊great find...✌🏿🏕
The Tracker is such a cool RV vehicle. It’s hard to find them in such good condition. Enjoy!
My favorite videos are the ones on the homestead , I just bought land in arizona so I’ll be starting homesteading in a RUclips channel
We love your tracker. We just bought a Honda Element. It is a great camping vehicle.
Next time you come to the midwest please bring the sun & blue skies. Cuz these tornado scares are a bummer.
Eric brings Seattle weather with him most of the time. He seems to have his own personal rain clouds.
The 4x4 crowd have tall string lights that change colors and flash....looks pretty cool at night so you might be able to use the CB antenna for lights.
Love ur Tracker Eric. Two thumbs up ❤
Hey Eric, you can remove the antenna and the coil separately from the ball mount. That way you can leave the ball mount on there, and not compromise the body / water getting in. You should be able to crank the coil off at the bottom by turning it counter-clockwise.
hey thanks for the tip!
I am so happy I just found you!!!
funny to see the cats get on that third level playing while you are looking the other way. Love it!
Hahahaha soon as Eric turns his back @9:01 , the cats jumped to the 3rd level of the playhouse 😄😄😄
They're trying to pull a fast one on him 🤣🤣🤣
If you go on 4 wheeling trails with others many use CB radio to communicate because it's cheap, and no license is required. Some use race radio, or other radios like a HAM radio. I found CB the cheapest way to communicate on the trail. Likely that Geo was part of a club maybe others that why they had the CB radio.
The tracker is cool! Nice score! What a great runabout! Practical, fun, and inexpensive to own! That should serve you well for a long time. I really like when manufacturers make the top removal and re-installation simple. That took no time at all.
Awesome!
I like that Geo tracker. We had a hard plastic lock box that screwed to the bed of our Wrangler, with a soft top. Then when we were doing errands we had a place to lock up things. And by the way, your hard top looks easier to install than snapping up the soft top we had. If it was a smidge off, which was easy because it was soft & wiggled, it would not snap. Plus the snaps would tire out out your thumbs they wrre do stiff. I gave up & let my husband do it. After a couple of if times all he did was zip down the windows, because the snaps were ridiculous.
For your long sewer run use 3" PVC pipe, if you can find the rubber fernco connectors you could assemble and disassemble as needed.
I have solar panels on my roof, one year they had 1 1/2 feet of snow on them and were still generating electricity.
Maybe just enough for a light bulb but under all that snow? Amazing.
Get a swing set or the A frame
On google it says it is a mini suv not a truck lol
I really dig the Tracker Eric
Eric, mineral spirits or acetone (test this one) or maybe lacquer thinner (test this one too) will generally take that goo off much better than Goo Gone. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.
Thanks! I'm not done cleaning it up. Will try some of that!
What a blessing to have the property to retreat to.
I like the idea to use the antena as a flag holder. It's not a bad idea to get you a small CB radio though. Would come in handy if you CVK and whomever else do a trail somewhere.
He would be better served with a GMRS radio as not only does the signal propagate better but the antennas are much slimmer and the FCC really doesn't care about policing GMRS unless some idiot is creating a large enough ruckus.
You should definitely get a CB radio for your tracker good idea
Love seeing you bum around in that Tracker. It is a good vehicle for you. Sounds like you have some cool plans in place so can't wait to see all the action.
Love the tracker, those are pretty cool.
Looks like its gonna work alot better then your smart car for you
I hope your friends in Illinois r safe
Only one thing to say. Buy one of those light up antennas, that would look bad ass.
Keep up the good good work.
That is weird . The weather here in Milton Florida has been great . We had a few small thunderstorms last week and that has been it . I think another few storms or rain this weekend but not bad at all ... yet . LOL I do get that you don't need the rain after that drenching in Illinois . LOL Tracker looks great man .
There are some fabulous hiking trails around that camping spot. Such a beautiful area. Looks like you're having a ton of fun. 😊✌️
I had bought a Suzuki, Sidekick right when they came out and it was a Great car for getting through the snow. The only downside even with an alarm the car was easily broken into. I bought a lock bar for the steering wheel. I wished I would have kept that car it was fun to drive.
Hay Erick what ya going to name your new wheels? You could call her Tater tot 2,or the second, or Jr. Because she looks like a Tater Tot as well. By the way my sister had a Tracker like yours. She sure loved that car. She would get another one in a heartbeat.
I like your flag idea for the c/b radio antenna. And I think it adds to the look somehow. I'm unsure why. I'm sure you will make the right decision for yourself.
I love the cats in the cattioo enclosure. I wish I could do that with my cat, but I live in an apartment and don't have a door in the right outdoor place.
I'm glad you like your new mode of transportation. Have fun......
CB's for off-road comes in handy with others who are with you and if you are in a OHV area you can still put a red off-road flag on
Love how much you've been grinning since you got the tracker😊
👍
Luv the Tracker. Awesome score. Bet you are gonna enjoy it! You have great friends keeping a lookout for you. Can't wait to see all your new upcoming adventures. 😁👍
Buy a cb radio with a built in swr meter, Cobra cb's. Find them at truck stops.
I love the tracker. Never was a fan of the smart car. All I could think of is that if you were in an accident, you had no protection. The tracker is a great choice. Keep the CB antennae and wiring, you might want one one day. I wish I could afford a base unit for at home. Even with cell phones, I know they are still used. Always great to see the kitties. Glad you’re enjoying homesteading and that you are close to CVK. This old woman has been following you for quite a few years and enjoys your videos.
CB radio could be fun (and useful)!
Walmart should have a key making machine, usually they are in customer service area.
Makes me want to swap my toad for the Samurai I've been looking at. I live on 35 acres of tall pines and normally use old motor oil I've drained out of one of my trucks in all my saws..
BTW- I bought a brand new F350 diesel truck in 2000, at 6 months old I took it into a shop for a 15 qt oil change, went back into the office. Got off work to a pool of oil under the truck, grabbed the filter and was hanging on by just a couple threads. Had I not spotted the oil I would have trashed a brand new diesel. With the state of the Nation today, you might want a CB radio for emergencies. I really like the ShowLo area, it's a laid back world in itself.
Cb radios are great saved my life when I wrecked my semi keep doing what you want don't worry about the haters there just jealous
Thanks for the video. My favorite You Tube Channel.
Wow, thanks!
I like the look of the antenna. I’d add a flag to it. Even just an orange off-road flag.
Good on you pal.
Meow meow Tara and Opie. Have fun Eric. Oil change they take your used oil. I use vegetable oil for bar oil. Works great.
If you are not wanting CB. Change it over and get buggy whip you can get one with LED and it can be green. or get one that you can change the color. That will be fun at night on trail.
Look up in your storage unit….. looks like open roof framing….. aka someone came in from another unit looking for smaller things they could fit back up. 23 years in law enforcement and I have seen that dozens of times. It confuses people because the lock looks fine but they didn’t come in from the door. Just a thought to keep an eye on.
Yup. Good eye. I saw that.
That sucks!!!
Big time. Any time you rent a storage unit, look up. Someone can rent one and have access to 100s of units… easy pickings for a criminal and know among them.
😎
It did look like someone had rummaged through his stuff. If there was no signs of rodent activity, then I would bet on a bigger rat did some digging.
Oh wow I could just see myself cruising down the highway with the car like that. But at 66 years old and I can't seem to keep a car running it would be just another yard ornament so I think I'll just enjoy the ride while you drive.😊
Good video. Nice Tracker.
As a former recovery specialist, you're not supposed to toe a 4x4 behind vehicles. You will ruin the transfer case. When a 4x4 breaks down, they send a flat bed to pick up your vehicle instead of the 1 ton wrecker, so they don't damage the transfer case.
Even if the Geo Tracker has a fully maunal Neutral gear in transfer case without computers? People have been flat towing Trackers behind RVs for decades. It's a very popular vehicle to pull.
Love when you give us back to back videos! Another great one. Thanks, Eric!
More to come!
I love your new truck!!!
Hey Eric a solar panel is never 100% efficient as it’s dark 50% of the time, then at low sun times (sun rise/sun set/winter) lowers it down to 33%. Yes add more panels but battery storage is the best way to store the sun shine energy till you need it.
Old keys? Go to a locksmith, ALWAYS! Sometimes, ACE hardware can do auto keys. Recommend a steering wheel lock and/or hidden kill switch for that buggy.
Mount a swing out hoist on the roof of the storage. Probably can find a used old school lawnmower lift from a landscaper truck. Top on at night keeps out wildlife, and dirt during a wind.
Get a BNC quick disconnect for the CB antenna.
Spending the winter there? Get tire chains. And know how to drive on ice roads. That short wheelbase can spin like a top at speed and loss of traction.
Lose/rename the "Taterland"?
Definitely insulation for the shed will make the interior best for winter battery systems.
A dear friend of mine, a Paramedic with ambitions of becoming a Physician's Assistant, died when his 1990 GEO suffered the infamous, and deadly, front-end tuck and roll. The investigation proved that he was only doing 45mph around a sweeping curve, one he had taken numerous times before between his assigned station and home. The road was well maintained, and the vehicle design was deemed the cause of the roll over and his death. By the way his GEO only had 10,000 miles on it at the time.
Glad you're getting a LITTLE rest. So much to do, but no hurry. It's great. wonderful. Taterland was your best purchase ever!
Eric I'm being respectful and everything, but your Tracker sounds like it might have an exhaust leak.
He means he is trying to abide by the rules of the anti-offend-me Staatspolizei
Are you able to find a ‘shed-in-a-box’ or ‘garage-in-a-box’? They might be a good fit for the tracker.
I like the little tracker buddy, however please be safe. If you stay in that area next winter be fearful of ice. I have a Cdl-A, and we park it when ice is involved. Be well.also check a Chevrolet dealer for keys, didn't they sell those?
Wow, 13 miles is sooo far to town, I live right next to a Walmart... here in South Dakota 75 moles away is 'next door' lmao
I’m jealous Eric looks like a nice ride. Enjoy my friend.
Good buy on the tracker. It looks great.
You made the right decision going back to Tater Land get away from all that bad weather in the Midwest and regroup to your repairs. Nice new Ride you got. Sending you positive energy for Malibu California 🙏🏼❤️🤙🏼
I had a camper shell on a F350 that I hung from a tree with a block and tackle. Just back under the tree and either raise or lower.
I bought a Class C because of you & now I’m looking for a Tracker!!..
Ps, please don’t remove the CB antenna~
That is a nifty little vehicle. I enjoyed watching you drive it.
Hey Eric! Fun video. Have you tried an official locksmith in the area? Big box stores don't make as good a key as a locksmith
You can buy uncut keys online and take them in to have cut ❤ had to do it for my old ram
That locksmith is also Bonded.
