      DANIEL ALEXANDER I got one too. I love it. Believe it or not, the reason I ended up even going to test drive the Honda was because the Audi sales person I was talking to prior, said I needed to try the Honda out before settling on the Audi. He was right. Way more tech that’s STANDARD, in the crv than in the Audi. I love my crv and so does everyone else that comes for a ride.

    Lot of people use the S mode for maximum power, typically entering the Los Angeles Raceway aka Freeway, you need to get it in S mode as you merge in at least. The armrest DOES move backwards and forwards. Some details, I like how any door is open the graphic shows which door. Adaptive cruise control will come to a stop without your foot on the pedal, to resume, all you need to do is hit "resume" on the cruise control button and it will start up again, no need to push the gas. If you remote unlock then hold unlock again, you will open all windows including the sunroof, handy when it's hot outside and you don't want to remote start for whatever reason. To close all windows, for example, you get out "oof! I forgot to close the windows." Remove the key from your fob, put the key in drivers side door, twist key towards the engine to close all windows and sunroof. Mountain climbing (for example Sequoia National Park, Yosemite, Big Bear, etc, sometimes the CRV will note lane keep assist failure, and a bunch of others due to weather etc. Solution for that is to turn it off then turn in on again to reset.

    • @whiteclarence6958

      your are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT EXCEPT FOR ONE THING, ONCE YOU SET THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL TO A SET SPEED,(I KNOW WITH MY CRV THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME COMES TO A STOP SO DO I, THEN IT RESUMES SPEED WITHOUT THE PRESS OF A BUTTON. It can be SLOW TO RUSUME SPEED ONE SETS.

    I agree on heads-up display. I drove a Camaro recently that had it and I was very impressed. It's dangerous to have to look down at the dash all the time, for any reason. Frankly, I've thought for along time that car companies should put all the gauges and stuff up high, in a narrow band on top of the dash, right below the windshield.

    Very nice and informative review. I appreciated your information about the lack of the EX-L Navi this year. I had read about the 2019 and it WAS listed as a model, but apparently that is not the case. I don't like that and I believe they did the same with the Accord. To me, the EX-L Navi hit all the needs without having to go to the Touring model. It smacks of greed on the part of Honda for doing this.
    I also appreciated the mention of the lack of "Heads Up" display which I find very surprising for the very top of the line CR-V line. That doesn't make much sense in a luxury model. I have it in my 2018 Toyota Camry, but other than MPH it doesn't give all that much info. I don't have integrated Navigation, only the Navi app, so it doesn't even list things like the speed limit and so forth. Still It seems strange the Touring model doesn't have this.
    Lastly, I see some people jumped right in about the supposed "oil dilution" problem. I suppose this is legit, but it looks like the typical jokers who go around trying to disparage a particular model for their own purposes. Leave that to the experts !

      onibara buya - I agree with an extended warranty, but not a buyback. It’s not like the engines are useless, they just require maintenance more frequently. Take care of them and they will last. I feel Honda should’ve stick with the traditional 2.4 Liter engine for all trims.

    I don't understand why Honda doesn't offer a bigger engine option for this...why not offer the same engine that is in the Passport? You would think the success of all of the other 5 seater, SUVs with bigger, sportier engines (Audi, Acura, Subaru, Hyundai Kia, Toyota, Mazda etc.) would give them the clue that people want that (and will pay for that) option. I have a CRV and love it. But for my next car, I want something sportier...If this came with the engine that is in the Passport, I would be all over it. Since it doesn't, I have to pass.

      What research did you do other than repeating what someone else said or wrote. Unless you have actual PROOF that it is still present in the 2019 you should not keep repeating this sort of slander. I was assured that this is NOT a problem with current models and only occurred with a very small percentage of earlier models. To read this repeated over and over by TROLLS, you would think it's on every model.

    Actually, with regard to performance, the 1.5T AWD will do 0-60 in 7.5 seconds (quick for an SUV), and the 2.4 naturally aspirated engine did it in 8.3 seconds (average for an SUV). Even though they both have the same transmission and similar peak numbers, the reason for the acceleration difference is due to where the peak hp and peak torque lie. The 1.5 makes its peak horsepower nearly 1000rpm lower in the band -- which means a significantly broader power band. The broader the power band, the higher the acceleration. Peak numbers don't mean as much as the overall power band. While this SUV won't catch the RDX -- or any of the other luxury performance SUVs, it does alright for this particular class.

    • @DriversOnly
      @DriversOnly  5 лет назад

      Unfortunately based on my research that is not what times are for those engines. They are very similar and the 1.5T engine is not quick by any means. That is the only draw back to this CRV.

    Wife and I traded in our new CR-V after 2 weeks. Sorry but the CR-V is extremely slow. We loved everything about the car but driving a car that doesn’t get out of its own way is dangerous. On NJ/NY roads if your vehicle can’t get up to traffic speed fast you will be rear ended. I don’t understand how people are not making light of how under powered this car is.
    Good luck to all other CR-V owners.
