I agree on heads-up display. I drove a Camaro recently that had it and I was very impressed. It's dangerous to have to look down at the dash all the time, for any reason. Frankly, I've thought for along time that car companies should put all the gauges and stuff up high, in a narrow band on top of the dash, right below the windshield.

The latest problem is the vehicule is doing some evap test while the vehicule is off like during the night. But its off so the vehicule cannot get an answer so he do the test again.. And again and again.. Until the battery is dead.
There is a tether for the middle seat in the rear. I just bought a 2019 CR-V Touring in the incredible Molten Lava Pearl. The salesman just explained that the tether pulls down from the ceiling in upper middle of back seat. It's not noticeable unless it is pointed out.
Very nice and informative review. I appreciated your information about the lack of the EX-L Navi this year. I had read about the 2019 and it WAS listed as a model, but apparently that is not the case. I don't like that and I believe they did the same with the Accord. To me, the EX-L Navi hit all the needs without having to go to the Touring model. It smacks of greed on the part of Honda for doing this. I also appreciated the mention of the lack of "Heads Up" display which I find very surprising for the very top of the line CR-V line. That doesn't make much sense in a luxury model. I have it in my 2018 Toyota Camry, but other than MPH it doesn't give all that much info. I don't have integrated Navigation, only the Navi app, so it doesn't even list things like the speed limit and so forth. Still It seems strange the Touring model doesn't have this. Lastly, I see some people jumped right in about the supposed "oil dilution" problem. I suppose this is legit, but it looks like the typical jokers who go around trying to disparage a particular model for their own purposes. Leave that to the experts !

I would only consider this or the mazda cx5. Mazda just doesn't have the cargo space which is a deal breaker for me but is a super nice car on long drives. Honda checks all the boxes.

I don't understand why Honda doesn't offer a bigger engine option for this...why not offer the same engine that is in the Passport? You would think the success of all of the other 5 seater, SUVs with bigger, sportier engines (Audi, Acura, Subaru, Hyundai Kia, Toyota, Mazda etc.) would give them the clue that people want that (and will pay for that) option. I have a CRV and love it. But for my next car, I want something sportier...If this came with the engine that is in the Passport, I would be all over it. Since it doesn't, I have to pass.

Actually, with regard to performance, the 1.5T AWD will do 0-60 in 7.5 seconds (quick for an SUV), and the 2.4 naturally aspirated engine did it in 8.3 seconds (average for an SUV). Even though they both have the same transmission and similar peak numbers, the reason for the acceleration difference is due to where the peak hp and peak torque lie. The 1.5 makes its peak horsepower nearly 1000rpm lower in the band -- which means a significantly broader power band. The broader the power band, the higher the acceleration. Peak numbers don't mean as much as the overall power band. While this SUV won't catch the RDX -- or any of the other luxury performance SUVs, it does alright for this particular class.
Unfortunately based on my research that is not what times are for those engines. They are very similar and the 1.5T engine is not quick by any means. That is the only draw back to this CRV.

The Murano at nearly. The same weighted and length is not considered compact but it is the king of the 5 passenger crossovers the both have a cvt. Both are made by Japanese but Murano has more style, more HP, more acceleration and more distance on a full tank. Sorry Honda tou’ve been dethroned!

Which is also a 2019 touring like in this video. But I can't find it on the Honda site, I'm wondering if it's like a regional thing which is extremely disappointing.. ruclips.net/video/vgYqGIJDrl8/видео.html
Wife and I traded in our new CR-V after 2 weeks. Sorry but the CR-V is extremely slow. We loved everything about the car but driving a car that doesn’t get out of its own way is dangerous. On NJ/NY roads if your vehicle can’t get up to traffic speed fast you will be rear ended. I don’t understand how people are not making light of how under powered this car is. Good luck to all other CR-V owners.

The best and only best CRV is the 2016, with a 2.4 natural aspirated engine, no turbo no crap, plenty fast and 30- 33 mpg, find a used one and buy it
The CRV also comes with the 2.4 on the lower models.
@@DriversOnly yes I have 2.4 liters 2014 model and enjoy it. No one problem.
Oil dilution issues
Not having downhill descent control TAKES AWAY FROM THE SUV SIDE AND MAKES THE CRV JUST A CROSSOVER. ATUNING KNOB FOR THE RADIO WOULD BE NICE AS WOULD HARD BUTTONS (although i USE THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL.) I shouls also mention that on MY 2019 HONDA CRV-EX AWD the BODY SIDE CLADDING is LOOSE and HONDA WON'T TOUCH IT(i kind of thought they would.
Interesting about the side cladding...not covered under warranty?
great review, one thing tho check your mic it sounds like your far away sometimes
What about the turbo engine issues?
www.consumerreports.org/car-repair-maintenance/honda-delays-cr-v-turbo-engine-fix-details-rollout-plans/ according to CR, the problem was only affecting a small number of owners and the fix was already underway. I am not sure if the 2019 model already has the fix in place.
I got the 2019 CR V. I did service 2 times about the oil dilution, and the car just got over 1000km. I really disappointed in Honda.
@@truongdo6850 2 services in 1000kms? Why?
The oil level just keep coming up. First time they did the oil change because too much fuel in the crankcase. Second time they did the software update. Now the oil level is still going up but its getting slower. Honestly oil level doesn't seem it gonna stop going up.
@@truongdo6850 Very odd. I work for a Honda dealership. We service CRVs all the time. No oil dilution issues at all. Even ones with 20-30.000 kms on them. I'm in New Zealand. Seems to be a Northern Hemisphere only issue..
Stay away from honda 1.5l turbos, the motor is mixing gas into the crank case oil! Seen 3 of them now with over a liter of gas in the motor oil...

I think Honda has a traditional gear shifter only for CVT and 6-Speed Transmissions for Honda and 8-Speed DCT for Acura. 9-Speed and 10 -Speed they have the button one!
All of the other hondas like Accord, Pilot, Passport, Odyssey all have the buttons too.
@@DriversOnly The only Accords that have it is the 10-Speed not the CVT as far as the Odyssey and Pilot they both have either 9-Speed or 10-Speed that's why!
The car design looks decent but those damn ugly rims/wheels got to go!
Hehe grows on you.
Those rims are tight
Ill buy as a project car, I want to make it an off road vehicle
Haha, a lot more better-suited cars for that purpose.
How quiet is the crv compare to a Lexus RX 350?
Haven't been in a new RX350 yet but I'm willing to bet its similar. It's dead quiet in a CRV with the exception of when you floor it.
Drivers Only thank you for your reply.
The Honda has a lot of noise when driving. It’s a bit buzzy at times. I have a RAV4 XSE Hybrid and a RX 350h F Sport. As I can say my Lexus IS quieter than my RAV4. Luxury cars are always quieter. But, my RAV4 is still quiet since it’s a hybrid.
I just bought this car 2 weeks ago and making a knocking noise.im very disappointed taking to the dealership tomorrow
You lie. Why did you not take it to dealer FIRST and then comment here?
oil dilution
Whats new in 2019 crv? panoramic moonroof/sunroof?
Nope, very little. New body color and navi is removed from EXL.
Not on U.S models, CANADA/EUROPE/ASIA maybe.
THANKS.
Had it not been for that fuel / oil mixture problem I would’ve had one of these in my driveway along time ago
Hopefully when they make an all new model the 1.5 L engine no longer be used from what I’ve learned the 2019’s have the same issues ☹️☹️☹️

I live in nyc my current Nissan Rogue lease is over this October
I’ll wait and see what Honda has done by then
@@DriversOnly Sadly the "fix" didn't do anything.
@@DriversOnly that fix is just a show off to sell 2019 version. Did not do anything to mine.
The fix did not do anything on my 2017 crv, its very disappointing!!
Moon roof not a sun roof. Not the greatest description of the car overall. Lots of things missed.
Stay far away from Honda! No fix for the OIL DILUTION. They only SLOWED it at the expense of 3-4 MPG loss in efficiency. SHAMEFUL!!
Where is your verification of what you said? Unless you provide references and links, it looks like you are going around bashing something for your own reasons !
From my own vehicle you DA (I'm sure you can figure this one out)! I went from 29.8 MPG to 26.6 with no change in driving habits. Data taken over 8 months before and after "Fix." I still have Oil Dilution!@@michaelpoquette3182

The software "fix" for a hardware problem is always suspicious.
Fix doesn't seem to work, lot of people still have the problem. It will substantially reduce its resale value.
Wait 6 months and get your oil tested
Wait until Winter! It happens mostly in cold weather.
Great review....BUT... Failed to mention the stereo sucks, even though its supposed to be an up grade from the EXL. Wifes 2014 Toyota stereo is a lot better.
Yea normally I don't speak to the stereo, thanks for the tip!1
Yeah stereo is super disappointing, had to upgrade that immediately
Ismael Torres so what did you install and what did it cost?
ostbob I added a belsee android head unit at first (it died so I just returned it, mine may have been an anomaly), but I added a dual car subwoofer (that one you find in Walmart with an amp built it) and I swapped out the stock door speakers with Bose speakers I stripped from an 2000 Acura TL (sounds a lot cleaner and since it’s Acura, it’s plug and play)
@@ismaeltorres3219 Thanks for that info I will check it out
It will be a great Upgrade from my Volkswagen Tiguan
Haven't test drove any VWs yet, hopefully soon.
You didnt show the key fob backup camera, that's the main thing.
shame there's no full panoramic roof, no heated rear seats, and no led fog lights in the U.S.
Well.. I've been trying to decide between this car or a new 2019 Subaru Forester. The Forester has those features you talked about.. but supposedly there is a CRV with a panoramic roof. Which is also a 2019 touring like in this video. But I can't find it on the Honda site, I'm wondering if it's like a regional thing which is extremely disappointing.. ruclips.net/video/vgYqGIJDrl8/видео.html

The length of the video is not a problem for me.

Cx 5 turbo baby!
The infotainment system is way too slow. Take it from me I'm driving a 2019 Honda Civic.. also WTF TOURING WITH NO VENTILATION SEAT ( DISSAPPOINTED)
It was that way BEFORE you bought it moron. Anybody with brain would have checked that out before handing over any money. Duh.
This must be a ex-L not the Touring edition, the touring has 19 inch wheels, auto wipers, wireless phone charger and a few other features
Nice car
Wife and I traded in our new CR-V after 2 weeks. Sorry but the CR-V is extremely slow. We loved everything about the car but driving a car that doesn’t get out of its own way is dangerous. On NJ/NY roads if your vehicle can’t get up to traffic speed fast you will be rear ended. I don’t understand how people are not making light of how under powered this car is.
Good luck to all other CR-V owners.
Mike Silva what did you get? I have the RAV4 XSE Hybrid and love it! The Honda CRV has oil dilution problems that I was not trying to deal with. My RAV4 is a hybrid so it’s faster than that’s gas model 219hp. I’m glad I got the RAV4.
Justin Xu we found a 2018 Land Rover Evoque demo for a great price.
Justin Xu I have driven the RAV4 and I agree. I do like the RAV4 much more then the Honda.
seems like this guy has can't see RPM difference between 1.5T and 2.4 engine. He also is senseless to the LOW_END torque.
Sure champ.
Where’s surroundview on the top trim? And pano moonroof? Not luxurious at all.not impressed by the fake wood trim. Give me a Murano instead
Turbo brings on torque at much sooner..this is best reason for T
Yea but unfortunately you can't feel it.
it is also less responsive right off the line, at least in the case of the Honda turbo vs honda n/a
I'll pass this need a panaramic sunroof

The hrv is compact
Crv is mid-size
Pilot is full-size

HRV is subcompact, CRV is compact, Passport is Midsize, Pilot is Mid/fullsize.

I was in the Navy (many moons ago) and even though the ship was named after a man, we always lovingly referred to it as a "she". Men have been doing that for centuries (or maybe longer). It's a sign of respect, as you would have for your mother, wife, etc. Thanks for the video.
