    As a Crv owner, 2017, I love it. Best vehicle I ever owned. A few things to nit pick over: interior lights are hard to find,and they're dim. My civic is way better in this area. Another thing, the fan has buttons,not a knob. My civic has a knob for the fan. Way easier to use. But overall quality is superb.

    I purchased an LX AWD yesterday for my wife. After driving Jeep Liberty for 12 years she is ecstatic about the vehicle. I am 6' 3" 235 lbs and am very comfortable in both the front and rear seats. Ours is Red with light gray interior. We did include a 100,000 mile warranty into the deal. Our friends have owned 4 of these CRV's. The one they are currently driving has 150K miles with no issues except routine maintenance. I'll be happy with that.

    Its been a week and I really enjoy it. Mine is a 2.4l petrol ex model. Just a bliss to drive and i dont have any issue with the acceleration. Its fast enough unlike what these reviewers say. Very spacious which is a well known fact. Infotainment is good, not as bad as it was portrayed. Interiors are plush and seats are comfortable. Exhaust could have been designed well and infotainment should have lesser bezel. I don't find any other drawbacks as of now and its not only a family car, but a sporty car with good sports mode and paddle shifters which works surprisingly good and this was not mentioned by any of the reviewers. Its just the best and go for it, if you are confused whether to go or not. You won't regret!!

      Thanks. I thought I’d hate it but I test drove it four times and loved it more each time. The reviews are good but can only take you so far. I test drove the RAV4 twice and hated it both times - it’s a heavy, loud car with an oppressive interior, not to mention Toyota salespersons are disinterested in selling a car. They’re very “Toyota’s sell themselves.”

    I have a 2006 Honda CRV. I love it. One of the features it has is a small shelf right in front of the passenger seat to place some items such as phones, sunglasses, etc. this is something the Toyota Highlander has. For a 2006, I’m surprised it’s there, and they should definitely bring it back.

    I love Honda. I just purchased a 2019 Accord LX and absolutely love it. I think this CR-V is awesome. I like the darkened housings and the wheels on that Touring trim level. One big thing I HATE is the auto start/stop. It sucks just like on every car. It only saves 1 mpg per year or something like that. I would be turning that off but I don't have to worry about that as the 2019 Accord LX doesn't have it. Great review!

      I was with you Dustin, we had 4 other hondas before the problematic 2018 CRV EX, they all were fantastic problem free vehicles. Then came the 1.5 Turbo and the outright lies and deny, deny, deny from Honda. I lost confidence in them. The only reason we traded in the 2018 in on the 2019 Passport is I just couldn't in good concience trade it in to anyone but honda. It is likely our last honda. The old " Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" adage.

    Honda created the illusion of greater space by shrinking/narrower the front seats, and closing the gaps. The gap means the seats are very close to the center console, so much less likeky to have stuff slip between the two. That said, it does feel huge inside, and the seats are still comfortable.

    • @pinakmiku4999
      @pinakmiku4999 3 года назад

      Even didn’t change on 2021. This is very bad by Honda that don’t give new features to people if sales are going up. Accord and Odyssey sales were going down so Honda changed infotainment to attract people and CR-V in contrast has been going up in sales due to its SUV body. Honda hardly changed anything from 2017-2021 CR-V in EX trims and above.

    The 5th gen CR-V with the 1.5T and CVT AWD tested between 7.3 - 7.6 0-60 -- which is not bad for an SUV (not a sports car, but still not bad). The Toyota RAV 4 TRD 0-60 tested at 8.0 seconds, but 7.4 with the hybrid... so the CR-V with AWD would eat the non hybrid for breakfast. I think the AWD plays a major part in acceleration. My wife's 2.4 iVTEC and 5 speed is really slow... even with AWD, but the problem with conventional transmissions is that they can only be tuned for efficiency or performance -- not both; whereas, the CVT can play both sides of the game. I think we have to remember that this is NOT a Civic Type-R, but a utility vehicle ;)

Foolish to opt for a turbocharged engine for only 1-2 mpg and a few HP. Completely stupid to invite reliability issues for no tangible benefit.

Most of such videos show top of the line trim, and that may give different impression of the car for people who can't afford extra whistles and bells for $8-10k. Like CR-V LX doesn't even have mirror blind spot sensor, and interior looks way cheaper than Touring trim.

    I leased a 2017 EX-L. Wishing I'd have waited at least until 2019. Mine has many quirks and issues. The infotainment screen adjusts its own brightness repeatedly if I use Pandora, so I wind up having to deal with constant beeping. The touch screen will freeze up, and the only way to get it to stop freaking out is to shut the car off for a minute, and not use Pandora on Bluetooth. What's worse is that it takes about 15 minutes for the car to warm up to an acceptable level before driving. If you don't warm it up enough, you risk having gasoline leaking into the oil chamber. The guy at the dealership said the issue is caused by the customer not warming the engine up enough before driving, so it's the customer's fault. I told him it's ridiculous to expect the buyer to warm up their car for 15 minutes every morning before driving. Most cars only take about 3 minutes to warm up. Take it out on the freeway, and it's LOUD. Nonetheless, the it and finish of the interior is fabulous. Fundamentally, it's an awesome car. Definitely the leader in its class, and I love driving it. But with all the bugs mine came with, plus how Honda refuses to fix the issues I've had with it, I will never buy another Honda. When this one finally dies, I will go with anything but Honda.

      Right Mazda went for distinctive and tasteful with their design language, where as this new CRV, honestly it looks like they put no effort at all in to the front end design, completely derivative, generic, and mishmash. I will give Honda credit for the Civic, at least they really tried with the styling of that model. On the CRV though, I think Mazda, Nissan, Toyota all have it beat. Oddly enough though when it comes to minivans, I think Honda has Toyota beat with exterior/interior design, the Odyssey is nicer than the Sienna, but Toyota still has Honda beat on mechanics, specially because Honda is going with tiny turbocharged engines while Toyota is sticking with 2.4 non turbo and 6 spd auto instead of cvt.

Love absolutely everything else about our CRV. Personally we don’t care about the oil dilution problem because we only keep a vehicle for 2 years. Same 4 cylinder turbo engine that mixes the oil and gas because the high pressure causes the rings to leak gas into the engine compartment. Honda has extended the engine's warranty to unlimited miles and 6 years. At 6 years and day 1 you are on your own. Basically, you can get killed if this engine seizes on the highway and you can't move but the 18 wheeled tractor trailer is still moving at 75mph as it hits you from behind. I sold mine with 6,000 miles. HONDA KNOWS ABOUT THIS OIL DILUTION PROBLEM.
