Great work guys. Jim's smile says it all. He looks like a kid at Christmas. I watched the last minute a few times just to see him grin. I'm in my 70's now and it reminds me of the good old days except we had to "struggle" with carb setup back then.

I’m currently 69 years old and high school class of 1973. I consider ‘67 through ‘71 the golden age of American muscle and I lived through it. In my teens, I knew my cars and knew what I would get if I had the money (I never did). For me it was (and is) Mopar or no car. Anyway, the cool kids had engines that said “bubblegum bubblegum” at idle (we don’t know what they said at 5000 ripems cause it was hard to hear anything). So this engine sound brought me a flood of great memories, even if it was coming from a GM product. Great to hear! 🥸👍👀😊✅

Memories of my youth, you're sure you've done everything correctly but there's still that trepidation as you turn it over, then it fires up first go and a wave of satisfaction mixed with relief comes over you. I was smiling as much as the cleaning guy just reliving the memories. 😊

Your caption caught my eye, did you torque the rods, did I, in my case, I've built a million of these things, well 30 may be closer, but every single one, I start to put the pan on, than I start to wonder, always pop the pan back off and check em, maybe twice, it's like the point of no return or something, lately it's been gen 2- LT1's, I always use AFR heads also, they make a really nice head for those LT1's.

Great video. We do a lot of EFI conversions for customers and we have had very bad luck with the fitech. We’ve also had bad luck putting throttlebody injection on a dual plane intake manifold. We have made it work. I do now recommend single plane intake with a throttle body injection. Very cool build follow.
