I would like to make a confession. Yeah i know, making confessions are stupid but i’d like to get it off my chest. I remember when i was 13 years old. I discovered Persona 3 and it was a big surprise for me at the time and it’s something that given me a feeling that i’ll never forget and I as i wasn’t feeling too well emotionally. I did discovered this remix of Memory of You. To cope with the sad feelings,i was crying to this song to make me feel better. Today,i can say everything changes for the better but,as you grow older, life just seems to be less interesting and facisnating. I just didn’t find the same feeling I had when I played Persona 3. Anyway, i just wanted to say that this game helped me in a part of my life where i was too much nostalgic about everything and Persona 3 was talking about letting go go of the past. Thank you Mr.Meguro and Mr.Hashino and thank you Atlus for this beautiful game.
Funny to come across this comment back a couple years after, damn times flies. Anyway I’m happy to see that a remake came directly 10 years after I’ve first discovered P3. Persona 3’s theme seems more and more relatable as the years goes by. After all changes and Death are part of life and you have to make the most of what you have in this life with what you got. Don’t be sad it’s gone, be happy it happened and yes I’m more than ok now actually better than ever (for real this time) with age come experience, with experience come wisdom, with wisdom come maturity and with maturity come peace of mind.
@@TheMisterFox5559 bro I just played P3 for the first time with Reload and the themes you mentioned really resonated with me. This game is a masterpiece. Also great to see you're doing better now compared to five years ago.
I find it strange really, This is the only game that has ever made me cry and get in a very state, I don't know the exact reason, the story? the characters in it? well I'd say all of them, Minato/Makoto's character doesn't show much since he's a very quiet person but I still cried.. I honestly wasn't able to reach the top of Tartarus to fight Nyx and finish the game, So I instead watched the movie.. it was beautiful, amazing.. that rooftop scene was the trigger to my sadness, Aigis talking to Makoto, who's currently tired.. very tired.. his head having to rest on Aigis' lap, I found it strange for a split second that after Junpei and the others called out for Makoto everything seemed to fade away slowly in white, and that's when I realized that He was slowly dying, I cried inside my blanket for hours. I couldn't accept his death at all, It was unfair. but he had no choice but to sacrifice his life for everything. I really wanted to see Makoto living on with the others and especially Aigis.. A boy that showed only few emotions, didn't have a care in anything, found happiness and his meaning of life at the end, keeping his promise to meet with the others on the rooftop one last time, and a robot who became human and found her meaning of life, protecting who she loves, protecting Makoto by his side, always.
Cause minatos life has been a misery, he barely spended any time with his parents, then lived half of his life being unwanted/ignored and when he finally made friends n started to live, he had to be in a stat where he can't even die, pretty depressing yea
You know it ! Today is the tenth anniversary of his death, and I will honor him and continue to for my whole life ! ( Not forgetting FeMC of course ! I just wish she'd get a canon name.. )
@@CallumTheCalamity according to Atlus EVERYTHING on the Persona franchise is canon, EVERYTHING, even if it doesn't make sense or opens up plotholes, is canon
The first part reminds me of Studio Ghibli's music..maybe the whole entire song! But the song is still beautiful even though I prefer the original on how well the singing fits with the music.
Honestly, in my opinion, I prefer Persona 3 over Persona 4 AND 5. Don't get me wrong, I like them as well, but both of those have failed in making me feel such powerful emotions, especially in their soundtrack. I haven't even finished watching the Persona 3 playthroughs, but I already know some of the important things, like the deaths of certain characters. I also largely prefer P3's soundtrack, for this song and others. This song in particular _almost_ makes me cry, especially when thinking about what the characters went through, their adventures, their losses, and their ending. P3 is also about a much deeper subject than P4 or P5. Persona 5 is about rebelling against society. Persona 4 is about finding yourself, and the quest to find the truth. Meanwhile, Persona 3 is about LIFE AND DEATH. It's about how Death is inevitable, and how by accepting that, you may profit from life fully. I personally think it's deeper, but people may disagree, which is understandable. On top of that, I got very quickly attached to the P3 cast, whereas in P4, it was more like "Eh" to me. Same with P5.
There is a lot of power in story when it takes a character away from us in such a strong way. P4 and P5 didn't have that moment that was quite as emotional as Shinjiro and Chidori's deaths. The final stretch of P3 was so emotional because of how abruptly Shinji dies, gave the game a very relatable feeling when you continue on with your journey without ever being able to forget what you lost along the way.
Personally, I feel that each subject is deep, but none is deeper then the other, it's just whichever subject relates to you that can stick with you. Maybe its just me, but as someone who has already accepted that Death is inevitable, P3 story doesn't hit me as hard. I had a hard time fitting in and in turn, made it hard to find myself. As someone who went through that type of journey, P4 and 5 hit me closer to home. Their subjects relates to my issues, so it made it have much more impact. But if someone is having a issue with life and death, then its more likely P3 with hit
@@eysler5088 you think? All i could think after beating was "Life is beautyful" the main theme of the game , Memento Mori (Remember you will die) serves as more of way for you to accept the mortality of life so you can trully enjoy life

Not only this makes Makoto's sacrifice more impactful, also reminding me of Tatsuya's in the end of Eternal Punishment which he had to go back to the ruined universe to make sure Nyarlathotep will never able to use him to destroy humanity with the cost of never be with everyone he held dear (especially Maya) anymore. To admit, Tatsuya's sacrifice is more sadder than Makoto's, as Tatsuya still lives but in a ruined world where he is trapped forever and only see Maya again in death as he said about meeting again in the Sea of Souls.
I dunno. I don't know if this was part of any after game, but this is after all still SMT. My headcanon is, that even though Minato (yes, calling him Minato, the Manga was first after all XD) died.. his soul is still very much alive. Never being able to move on, being awake every second, having to be the seal for Nyx. Basically, being frozen in time, every second a torture. I am cheerful, ain't I? XD But again, SMT. While we do have some happy endings, the sad ends are so horrifying, they make completely up for it.
Although the battle system in Persona 3 may be very inferior to 4 and 5, its story is the primary reason it is the best of the three in my opinion. 4 does not really get anywhere special and emotional in its story until the dungeon after Naoto’s (won’t say who cuz it would ruin the moment of realization). 5 puts the lighter theme to an extreme. There aren’t any actual dark parts of the game and it feels like the same thing over and over until the plot twist. 3 does its story very well. The deaths seen throughout are very effective and keep the story going. The Fall is also done very well giving the game a great ending and soundtrack with it. I hope it’s not just me but this game seems to have the most character development of the three. Instead of the Personas transforming at a max Social Link (Confidant in P5), they transform in the story progression with their resolutions. I got introduced to the series in a P5 play through, and then played P3 and P4 to see the game’s two predecessors. 5 gets carried by its advanced UI and battle system, while 3 is by its story and character development. 4 is in the middle. In this situation, I feel 3’s story is superior and does it well.
The only reason Persona 3's gameplay is "inferior" to Persona 4 and 5 is because it came out first and Atlus got the chance to improve on it in later installments...If anything, people should be grateful that Persona 3 cameout first and it allowed Atlus to improve on the later games. With that being said, I think P3 deserves a modern remake with Persona 5 graphics....Just like the original Nier deserves the remake it's now getting.
I actually played through backwards and yeah while the game systems weren't as good, this game's narrative was just fantastic. I really love it so much. I get why they went for more of a lighthearted approach... but I'm really glad this story exists

@@marrowyoutube She’s immortal ain’t she? And that door isn’t gonna break any time soon no matter how hard Erebus tries. We could all die first before Elizabeth completes her journey, but I'm sure she'll get her wish. Especially since Persona 3 is getting a lot of exposure by the media and spin-offs, it could be a sign for Atlus preparing the audience with stock knowledge of the story and cast when he returns.
Persona-lly, I feel like p3 did a really bad job at presenting the character interactions and certian developments (Which the movies have done FAR better), but had a really good plot that was weakened due to the bad pacing.
The presentation of relationships and characters. It built more on the relationships the characters had outside of Slinks, and showed how everyone effected each other. Example, the movie showed Shinji and Ken's relationship, so when Ken learned Shinjiro was his mothers killer, it created a greater dillema. for him. It also presented the teams reluctance to end the Dark Hour in a much more meaningful way, which gave everyone's actions more meaning. It did better at giving characters and the relationships through banter between them, giving the relationships more depth, making the important interactions feel stronger, which the game failed at due to a lack of interaction between many characters. You can't blame a movie for cutting out content. Games and Movies have VERY different forms of writing. Movies only have an hour and a half, and scenes from the game might not fit as well into a movie that skips a number of days, so they cut it and create a scene that works for the medium. I find the P3 movie has better presentation. That is my opinion from my writing prospective. You are entitled to your own opinion, just as I am mine.
Oh good. Cause it's my opinion that its bs that they Aigis almost die (NEVER happened in the game) in December but ended up not killing her. Oh how a wonderful ending that would have been...
I remember Aegis almost dieing to Ryoji. Her failure was what spurred her question of what her life means, which caused her S-Link to happen. Also, having Aegis die in December would be horrible, and I actually don't ship Aegis/MC. Her sub plot is basically one half of the theme of the game: the meaning of life.
She is a robot. Death also has a meaning like countless people harp on me when it comes to P3. So Ken's mom, Mitsuru's dad, Shinji, Strega... they can all die but Aigis cannot??? Yes, almost 'dying'. It didn't result in her being shut down in the games like it did for the movies. I'm still trying to find an ounce of logic there.
MC : Parents died because of Aigis fight against Pharos.
Yukari : father died in lab.
Junpei : Chidori died saving his ass
Mitsuhiko : Shinji Died saving Ken
Ken Amada : mom died because of Shinji
Koro-chan : master died (carcrash)

To admit, Tatsuya's sacrifice is more sadder than Makoto's, as Tatsuya still lives but in a ruined world where he is trapped forever and only see Maya again in death as he said about meeting again in the Sea of Souls.
I think both are sad as fuck,Makoto/Minato will never be able to see his friends again even in after life
(Cause he he is sealing Nyx)
Both sacrifices shall give thou tears
Unless Elizabeth finds a way to free Makoto and possibly even Tatsuya, she is doing everything she can with her own Fool card.
Geo Hugokare Totally won't happen.
XD
But again, SMT. While we do have some happy endings, the sad ends are so horrifying, they make completely up for it.
This version is so much sadder than the original
This song always gives me chills. Thank you for uploading it.
so. i love persona 3. i'm playing the world ends with you. i think it's all connected
This is just beautiful.
THE BEGINNING GAVE ME PMD VIBES, TIME TO CRY NOW
Rest in Peace my friend, Makoto. You saved everyone 🫡😢

if the remake doesn't use this I'm gonna be sad...
the remake doesn’t have femc so no point in buying it anyway
@@lucymorrison femc route is remarkably worse so it doesn't really matter for me
@@lucymorrisonwell.. sorry to say but... i don't really like femc ( no offense for the people who actually enjoyed playing femc ) so i don't really care if she's not in the remake

Just Like Life and Death cause this two things is important to us, ofcourse you guys now anything anyone that's life someday will die. This song reminds us to be grateful to be born in this world and most importantly we can listen to this song 😌😌
This song always makes me so emotional. Never had a song I could so passionately sing 😭😂
I imagine Aigis singing this for Minato when he is dying while she is crying.
Just what I was looking for!
It scares me how I can hear never more and with the Stars and us in the intro

Memories of you: Strange Journey edition
Sounds like a dragon quest/classic final fantasy ost, like that
This sounds very Uematsu...
So the reincarnation version was the basis for the P3W and 20th Anniversary version.
I think I'm crying from how you spelt that .__.

I hope Elizabeth someday will complete her quest
@@StevoPL it's been about 10 years, not happening, she's busy kicking ass in bbtag and p4au
@@StevoPL well it's pretty much hinted that the phantom thieves are the solution to helping Elizabeth with her quest

Pardon my ignorance, but this is a different version of Persona 3 Portable or FES? Or is a completly different version?
It's the reincarnation track similar to a remix
The lyrics are still the same I believe just the instrumental
Reincarnation songs didn't appear in the game
no it was only in the soundtrack, same with p4

Persona-lly, I feel like p3 did a really bad job at presenting the character interactions and certian developments (Which the movies have done FAR better), but had a really good plot that was weakened due to the bad pacing.
The movies, which cut out so much shit, did it 'better'? Excuse me?
