this would be really interesting under meridian review's pretty results based metrics bc of all the super trainwrecky players in the new era, a weirdly low amount of them were the first boot from their tribe

Kind of irrelevant but what are you saying in the intros? I keep hearing "alrighty guys, BLM here". I don't think that is what you are saying but I can't hear anything else but that.

Jelinsky for me is easily played the worst game this season the fact that Jelinsky had someone like Jess and Bhanu who were complete outcasts one of them being sick and yet his tribe couldn't keep him around is very very bad, and the argument that his moves he made were good is wrong to me, he making himself look like a quitter is completely his fault and yet he still sits back and doesn't advocate to stay not realizing his ginormous target on his back is really bad
So far for 2024, the bottom players for survivor US and AU are named “Jess.”
Edit: Coincidentally, both were the second boots on their respective seasons.

I mean I agree that tiff appears to be a better player just from watching the season. But on paper, she had no path to the end. A threat at the final 8 and even her biggest ally is Kenzie was already talking about getting her out. At least Q had a reasonable shot at making it to FTC with just one or two things going differently. Even if tiff played her idol she has an uphill battle to make it past the next few rounds.

Q had ridicoulous amount of agency, and people have said that Q would have could have won at the end. If the Charlie vote goes through he plays idol at 5 probably booting Maria, and if she won immunity potentially Kenzie and then he has said that he was the best by far at fire, see at least he get FTC and maybe wins

Are Ben and Venus exact opposite players? Ben all social no strategic, Venus all strategic no social. Agree with almost all of these, good list!
The finale of survivor 46 is 1 of those situations in survivor where I was taken by surprise with who the winner was unveiled. That's happened a bit more recently in the new era with seasons like, to some degree, S41 and S42, but especially with S43. I fully expected Charlie to be the winner of this season and was genuinely shocked when Kenzie took home the prize

Tiffany over Kenzie is kinda crazy
@@Sixersszn0While Kenzie played a better social game, Tiff was way better than Kenzie strategically imo. Tiff is primary the reason why Hunter didn’t play his idol at final 9, she was always going to be one of the last two standing on Yanu, and the only flaw in her game was her inability to manage her threat level, but even then the only reason she was a threat was because Q irrationally blew up her game and told Charlie and Maria about the idol. Also can’t help but fault Kenzie for her blunder with trying to take Tiff out at final 9, which if it went through would’ve likely sent Kenzie home soon after.
@sharp5132 Hunter very clearly said at FTC that Kenzie was the one who convinced him not to play his idol. Also, Kenzie did handle her threat level very well after the merge.
@@sharp5132 Hunter said very clearly at the FTC that it was Kenzie who convinced him not to play the idol, and then said it again in an interview afterwards. Also, Kenzie handled her threat level incredibly well after Bhanu completely threw her under the bus.

Venus was involved with the Hunter move. He even says it in post press. She’s essentially the person that got the votes to split
Venus to me is a VERY underrated player on this season. I would not be disappointed at all to see her return on a future season or to see her on The Challenge in some capacity

By the way he talks about Kenzie, you'd think he'd have her at 10th and not 2nd. LOL Anyone who wins should almost certainly be #1 just by definition. I mean, they did what it took to win, no matter what you think of their game play. They obviously did it better than EVERYONE else, because that's why they are the ONLY survivor! So it would be a hard sell for the #1 to be ranked any lower, and talking all bad about Kenzie and mostly good about Charlie is not working. It just shows this guy's bias, i guess against female winners?
No offense, but this is a very stupid comment. Not everyone considers the winner to be the best player. If you need his reasoning, you can watch the video again
@@BC-fx2yt Depends on your subjective definition what a good player is. If you go by the game's moto of "outwit outplay outlast", there can only be one best player and that's the one who actually outwitted, outplayed, and outlasted them all. Only the person who actually won can claim that! Even if one player was a floater the whole game and the strategic comp beast lost on firemaking. who says the strategy of being a floater, laying low, wasn't the better strategy for that season than beasting it out putting a target on your back? The better strategy for that season was obviously the strategy played by the winner.
Charlie was great at narrating the game during his confessionals, but his actual game left a lot to be desired and is super overrated. He’s a huge gamebot, too mechanical. He failed to read how emotional this cast was and that lack of perceptiveness is a knock against him.
How is Ben #4?
Oh, and I love Liz's game. She's my favorite player of 46. (Charlie probably played a slightly better game though)
This list was pretty accurate and your takes on Liz are SOO based. However, i feel like you’re overrating a few people
Q- Overall i don’t think he’s like a horrible player or anything as he was in a very strong position on his OG tribe, keeping him very safe with having relationships with the outsiders and a core majority. However, he was at the bottom of this core as if they went to another tribal (which could’ve been very likely especially without the medevac) i’m like 99% sure he gets voted out. After the pre merge i guess he does a decent job at forming a majority, however this majority was never gonna stick since no one was loyal to it except for Q. And then he doubles down on this alliance, throwing his only true loyal allies under the bus FOR NO REASON. Then after this he just tries to quit? Completely tanking his win equity and almost gets him eliminated. I don’t think he beats a single person in the cast after this and barely gets by because Maria basically grants him a second life. Having him above people like Tiffany is a bit too much ngl when he tanked her game for no reason.
Ben- Having Ben that high is kinda ridiculous when he never made a single move on his own, except for what getting rid of Liz?💀 I mean in general he had a decent social game but he did NOTHING with it. He could’ve easily been a power player alongside his key relationships with Kenzie and Charlie to make moves and have strategical agency, yet that never happened. Having a good social game is also knowing how to capitalize on it and make good moves, when Ben never did that. He was dragged along with no agency and barely any win equity. Despite this, he was still targeted for being a “threat” which shows bad threat management. I feel like his FTC lays out that he didn’t do shit since he couldn’t even come up with a move he did on his own.
Q can absolutely win. He beats Ben Liz and Venus without difficulty.

Tiffany should be higher than Hunter like way higher. She outplayed Hunter completely and her first half was so much stronger than Hunters. She had Venus and Kenzie keeping her at 8, Kenzie only campaigned her at one point and changed her mind and Liz wanted Q out just as much and didn’t go to rocks.
The fact Hunter didn’t use his idol and knew his position is awful and had a shit social game straight up I don’t think they’re close at all

If maria goes at 6, Q plays on 5 he could idol anyone with a 4-1, i think he probably goes for charlie as a revenge for maria and also for being the biggest threat.
Even if ben wins f4 and brings kenzie, Q probably beats liz at fire.
Then Q will need a 5-3 against kenzie to not risk a tie where ben gives kenzie the win. Votes for Q: Maria, Hunter, Charlie, Soda, Tevin? Is that that impossible

Jelinsky at least has the excuse of basically being a child still, anyone casted under the age of 25 is being done a disservice getting onto Survivor so young as their one opportunity is being squandered when they have the least amount of life experience to reflect on and apply accordingly to such an intricately complex social game

@@prouddamienstan Both were number 3 on their OG tribe. Neither was in a true alliance throughout the game until they banded together with Ben and Charlie at the final 7. Both of them were left out of one post merge blindside. The final 5 challenge just shows that they were in lock step. They both wanted to cut their number ones early. And they both went to fire. Obviously, this is an oversimplification of the game, but they basically played the same role in the post merge. Kenzie clearly higher because of win equity and better threat management.

I dont think Maria wins against Charlie or Kenzie? Maybe it’s because of the edit we saw but something in my gut tells me Maria wouldn’t have won.
The only jury vote I think she locks down is Q, and even then who knows if he still votes Kenzie against her. Ben, Liz, and Venus did not seem to have a great relationship with Maria and the other jury members seemed closer to either Kenzie or Charlie. I don’t think anyone respected her carrying Q along with her and it wouldn’t have been hard to argue a case against her.
Liz respected Maria and she keeps that perception up post season. She voted Charlie based on game so if she gets to the end she 100% has the case to win.
I think saying Maria wasn’t the biggest jury threat is disingenuous, everyone knew she was the player to beat.
Maria would pick up Tevin Hunter Liz Q Soda and possibly Tiffany.

Tiffany had zero path to the end, and her one close ally in Kenzie was ready to let her go at final 9. She was well positioned on her pre merge tribe but in the post merge she showed little social ability, and some example of poor strategic play like her publicly bashing Q. She comes across as a good player, and seemingly understands the game, but doesn’t actually execute that well

1:05:30 this 100% isn't true. he didnt take control here, he let VENUS go over Kenzie because that's what Maria wanted to happen. Maria still got her way there. then he loses agency at final six and depends on Liz and Kenzie. him keeping Kenzie is what causes him to lose

The “best player” in a survivor season is the person that wins. There’s no other way to measure who the best player is in a subjective game of emotions like survivor
