      What'd you think! It's funny--I made this for the first time with Beyond Meat crumbles a few months ago, and it changed the flavor immensely (which I loved).

    And tomorrow you could make a great riff on Cincinnati style chili with the leftovers! Great job as usual.

      I've never made Cincinnati style chili (which is surprising given my proximity to it), but I just might now!

    Mmmm chili! I don't think we can get chili magic here. It sounds magical, so I may need to get some when the boarders are opened again. :-)

    Winner , winner chili dinner! Looks wonderful-I never thought about putting carrot in but it would offset the acidity in the tomatoes. Try adding some cumin seed next time- really enhances the chili taste!

    This chili will be better the next day because all that flavor and I will put it on some vegan nachos! Add some vegan shredded cheese and vegan sour cream!

  • @rachelhurt7271

    Nice! This looks so good. Why do you heat the tomato paste directly on the bottom of the pan first?

    • @TheVeganTestKitchen
      @TheVeganTestKitchen  4 года назад +1

      It helps the flavors come out a bit more--called "blooming". It's a great way to add more depth to soups/sauces! I probably didn't do it as long as you should, but you want it to get darker in color.
