A couple of questions:
- Is is mandatory to hire Turkish citizens upon setting up a company. Of course one would aim to grow the business and hire local talent, but is this optional or a must?
- Does one have to rent an office or can one operate from home?
Second question, could you please do a video on who to obtain a work permit in Turkey.

- it is mandatory within the first year to hire Turkish citizens to continue to keep your work permit as a foreigner (as owner of company) active
- you have to rent an office however can be virtual office as well but has to be a licensed one
- work permit can be obtained only through getting a job first, apply online for jobs then the company will get you the work permit
Why create a company in Turkey if we don’t have work permit ?
Or is there a way to get work permit from company we’ve created ?
If you want to conduct business in Turkey, you should be creating a company here.
The issue is work permit is only allowed once you reach 5 local hires, then you can get a work permit for yourself.
They don’t want people just finding a loophole to stay in Turkey by registering shell businesses which are not actually creating any value.
So you can live in Turkey by getting property for example or finding a job here and that company applies for you, or becoming a student at a university getting a student visa and so on..

Work permit is only allowed if you hire 5 local hires - if you plan to live in Turkey you'll need to purchase property min $50k or $75k for larger cities
May I know what's the minimum for a sole proprietorship and whether there is a need to get a special trade license for e-commerce activities?

Yes correct, it has become strict and now they are checking this. However if you have residence permit already from buying property, then you open sole proprietorship, you don't need to hire 5 ppl

Actually you can. In the beginning as a test phase, you can start trying out, this doesn't require any registration. However once you have income coming in, then you should register your business.
