Just to clarify a few things:
If you are using the Bone Gunlance there's nothing wrong with that UP TILL GRADE 7.5.
ONCE WE START TALKING ABOUT WGS THERE IS NO DATA TO SUPPORT THAT YOU SHOULD USE WGS ON A BONE GUNLANCE.
Also the prerequisite is Focus 5 for the Charged Shot Style NOT ARTILLERY. The Charged Shell style is literally like using the bow. If you dont get to your charge fast enough it doesn't matter you have to move out the way. Heck I didn't get put that data here because EVERY BOW (EVEN KULU) IS BETTER THAN THE BONE GUNLANCE AT AN EVEN GRADE.
If your gonna use the bone gunlance. Why not just switch to being a bow main or use the bow as a secondary weapon? THE BOW IS AN S TIER WEAPON!

Since many if us are thriving for a budget weapon could you give us a video with your full build for pukei bow both with and without drift? My ideal budget build should "start" without any subspieces/seasonal or for other reasons hard to farm monster (so just limited to the ones the palico can be set to hunt) and then maybe present possibile upgrades IF you can access anything in the game.

As a bow and lbg main, I find shelling to be more chill. My G8 Jho GL with Focus 4 Artillery 4 can easily, without much effort, farm 8 stars. I love it. It's a nice change of pace.
Oh for sure! Also Jho GL is definitely worth investing into. Now if we're about talking about Bone GL past 7.5 and going to 10.1 thats a different story lol.
if your an LBG and bow main you take definitely switch it up if needed to carry in groups.
Very useful video! I am trying to get better at the gunlance but a good screen protector which is good quality and more smooth matte finish definitely helps
Hope it helps! Getting better at all aspects is definitely a must. The weapon was inteneded for Wyrmstake Shot and BurstFire to do most of the work so these combos and timing are super important!

It’s definitely an A tier weapon. The problem is no matter how you spin it charged shelling will never beat elemental weapon weakness nor overtake the black diablos bow.
Wyrmstake shot is difficult to use but once master is incredibly powerful.
@@KINGOFCHARMANDERSeven if it won’t over take I would assume it’s still a fine gameplay. I play it sure it can get alil boring sometimes on lower stars monsters but it does do consistent damage while keeping you safe while guarding. My goal to run is 4artiallry, 3gaurd and 3 focus
What armor set up would u suggest for optimum build with pink rath gl.
Do you think it’s worth putting resources like wgs into the girros gunlance compared to the pink rathian gunlance? It seems like sneak attack can give a good boost to damage and I was just wondering how much worse it is than pink rathian.
Girros gunlance is good as well! Its just no matter what, you aren't gonna beat Poison Tick damage. Poison's always been the status meta thats reliable. The only other element known so far is Blast so that might over take it.
Can you please tell niantic to remove back roll(evade) when AED if the shield not boosted(glowing). It's cancel AED and so annoying. Thank you so much.

Hi, can you tell why I can no longer access *lock on* even when using the right equipment and weapon sword and shield? In the past I used it a lot. I stopped playing for a while and when I came back I couldn't use anymore. This is very strange. I know how to use it but it just doesn't appear.
What is the best build rite now for poison gunlance??
Is anyone else having a problem where the wyrmstake shot bounces off the monster and explodes in the dirt? My typical opening salvo with a normal GL is to do a wyrmstake after a few single shells. But lately the wyrmstake has been just bouncing off. Is there some key element that I’m missing?
Its a feature. The monster has to be in range when you discharge it otherwise it falls to the floor. It forces you to get more practice in to make sure your in correct range or play with range.
Besides the pink rathian gunlance, what are the next best gunlance to use? Could you make a tier list please or top 5 whatever of that sort, appreciate it man.
Jho gunlance would be the best otherwise. Staking and Charged Shot together with that does insane damage.

Howcome it only shows the Rose Burst and not the Royal Burst gunlance on my weapons tab?
Probably a bad idea to admit this under any of your videos, but apparently I am just too bad at the game to play bow and can't reliably pull off the burst normal gunlance style. 🤷🏼♂
I started NH Now two weeks ago and just hit HR50...
SnS worked fine for me in the beginning, but with the Bone GL (7.5) I can just play for longer as I farm more quickly and loose less health.
Now I a trying to figure out which weapons and armor to build in the long run.
So far I have the Basarios stuff for artillery, but haven't crafted much else.
For elementals, if I can't pull off the bow/burst GL playstyle, so should I focus on SnS?
And if so, which armor would complement a wide/long Gunlance so I don't have to craft two fully different sets?
Am I right to assume, that upgrading the Deviljho and Khezu gunlance would be a good idea?
If anyone is willing to help/shares my problems here I'd be glad to get some tips. 😊🙌🏼
I used pukei bow a month after launch and it's the only weapon carrying me through end game, it's just 9.2 now but it does the job

Anyone using a Bone Gunlance will trail behind you while you build something that will be good for a long time.

Use status sneak attack 3 and focus 5 or just focus 5.
Stay behind Kushala because it has to turn if it attacks you with most of its attacks. Stay out of range of its close range AOE and your solid.
I am a Gunlance main and I wish they had better controls.
Sadly GL just doesn't have the damage compared to other weapon as it is mostly a defensive playstyle weapon in general similar to Lance but with more damage and fixed damage with shells to ignore parts toughness.
Maybe one day if they decide to fix or buff Gunlance like how they did with LBG Pierce shots they did a few months back to go from 4 -> 4+ hits.
I actually find the charge shot for the long shells to be very useful as “probe” in between combos. I don’t find Focus 5 to be worth it. Artillery is the way to go. My bone cannon is Grade 6 and hits for 1016 dmg with each shot. If the monster opens up for a combo, then I go in. I could use the bow, but I hate full gyro. The gunlance provides variety. But all personal preference.
No you got it right! Using it between combos is the right way to go and using everything GL has to offer.
Purely using it to charged shot though unless you've already develop a good amount of skill in another weapon type is something I would never tell newer/beginner players to do. Those are the ones that will struggle against Kushala and Eldres.

My main issue with bow/LBG is everyone advice is going full screen and that’s a pain lol on semi it’s always locked on monster
Thats the thing lol ranged gets a bad rep for being "easy", but it takes a lot of skill to use effectively. This is especially true when you have to use reset aim in full mode while moving.

This game has become so much fun now the I realized my co worker play this app daora and hunts easy now plus getting 10 monsters (every 2days) we get a hunt session going

I prioritize efficiency because of the nature of AR games. But I also take a hard look and question why things are good and the merit behind them.
I'm not just gonna agree with something because someone thinks its good or its "easy".
Well, the LBG and the Bow don't have Lock on, that's why. I cba to stand still moving my smartphone to play. When I'm playing, I'm always moving, because this isn't just a game for me, it's some kind of a motivational coach for me to keep on moving.
Then use reset aim to recenter your crosshairs. If you can't play LBG and Bow while moving you got a lot to work on. Charged Shelling is lazy period.

You reference Coral Pukei Bow being the better option, you mean Pukei Bow (not Coral) - you show the correct costs and even later on that same slide reference it as Pukei bow but at the top you have Coral Pukei

It’s the 10.1 bone lance argument I’m in arms about haha other than that carry on and blast at will.
I use water sns and I already have the gold medal for SNS. I want a gold medal for Gunlance. Reason why I am looking for water build gunlance as IMO water is my weakest Loadout. I'll just build your Burst set Gunlance set. 😁.
Nope. Nothing's working for me. He keeps saying swipe up constantly and all I do is reload. I'm absolutely doing something wrong. That said it would be too OP if he would upload a video with visual touch enabled so we can see what his fingers are doing. Please think about it.
That means your tap holding and swiping down to quick reload combo. It takes practice to get used to.
Otherwise just use the regular guard stance combo one tap, hold, swipe up.
But i like feelin like megaman :(

I agree that getting wyvern gem shards are rarer than hunting for materials required from subspecies. I have a 8.1 b diablos bow and it's good when I want to play bow and hunt some 8*s from ranged.
I have hunted 198 b diablos since it's release last year. Currently 22/40 b diablos tailcases to upgrade to 8.2.

Mad respect as you are one of the few that have so you can actually see the difference using the super weapon. Seeing A LOT OF these gunlance responses I can see are clearly full of players that have never tried to even go after it. There’s literally no data saying that you should go after a 10.1 GL versus even a Grade 9 Blos bow. It’s nuts lol.
