That's one of the downsides unfortunately. The crackers can go soft. But what I do if I'm prepping is chop all the cheese and fruit ready for assembly.

Cream crackers, black pepper and salt round crackers. Long cracker thins. Cheese- Scottish cheddar, Brie, Wensleydale with cranberries and goats cheese covered in edible rose petals. Meats-Roast ham, pepperoni. Grapes, strawberries cherry tomatoes, blueberries. dark chocolate, chocolate raisins, salted peanuts. Mixed nuts, pretzels. Fudge.
Great suggestion Diana, it's a good way to practice hygiene. I'd recommend anyone who has trouble washing their hands should definitely consider wearing gloves 🙌
