I think her problem was nobody to come in and do basic housekeeping like taking out the trash. It also could've been becoming disabled in the same home you weren't disabled in beforehand, there's so many homes that aren't accessible for different stages of mobility.
As a kid, our house was close to this and sometimes a family friend would come clean for us and it made me feel so much better/safe. Thank you for what you do.
You and other wonderful cleaners really inspire me. I have fibromyalgia and it's really hard to motivate and be up to cleaning. I have a whole house to clear junk out. Kids have moved out over the years and between them and me, we have collected too much. We are progressing and that's the important thing. You do such good work.
Progress is progress!!! A little each day, that's my intention, even just a small shopping bag of rubbish making it to the bin is a BIG achievement some days! Onwards & Upwards m'friend!
Also, people have been on me for how much my industrial cleaning will cost. Many have said, “I will do it,” until I mention the rats and mice and need for biohazard PPE. That shuts ‘em up. 😂😂😂🇬🇧

Cleaning nerd fun: I did a side-by-side comparison of Mr. Clean spray vs. Krud Kutter, because that's how I party. Close tie. Slight edge on the grime for the Krud Kutter but winning 100% on killing germs for Lysol. Worth a few extra scrubs, IMO. My new go-to for the bathroom and kitchen. After a few months everything was replaced---rugs, wall paint, bathrooms, appliances.....i became sick with C-Diff and i swear it was from that condo's filth. You’re not the only one… & this is coming from someone who was in deep depression for years. The house was neglected, but my dogs were tended to - they were the only reason I got out of bed. Lost count of how many times I got the heebie-jeebies watching this. He recommends we read up on hoarder mentality, & that’s what I’m about to do. I’ve an older sister who was engaged to a pretty big star, but ran out on him & into another guy’s arms, when she turned 19. She’s still married to the guy she ran off with, 50 years now, but his family was the exact opposite from ours. Where we never left food out or dirty dishes… they left them everywhere! Never hit a trashcan. I cleaned my sister’s house & her mother-in-law’s during the summers & she hired help the rest of the time… I could never tell where they did anything, the house was so full. It has me curious how this all came to be.

Hi everyone! I dont understand why carpet is still used on floors; in France the carpets are very rare, carrels, or laminated floors, or wooden floors, it's so easy to clean, and better for heath...all the more when you've kids or pets or both kids/pets! Anyway, goog job, you should have a medal for doing that... and never complaining about hoarders or people who're unable to clean thieir homes!
Non carpeted floor certainly are easy to keep clean but I can think of two reasons why people use carpet besides the fact that they just like it: 1) It is softer .. easier on the feet if you don't wear shoes inside, soft landing if you are prone to falls. 2) Carpet and good padding provides noise reduction between stories (apartments etc), or shoe clacking in offices, or echos in certain other structures. I don't have carpets or curtains not only because they are dust traps, but also because they keep in smells and moisture in the humid climate where I live. Vertical blinds are easy to maintain and keep clean.
@@AzaleaBee I can understand the reasons you're giving, but in France a home with carpets is not appreciated at all, when you sell a property with carpets, you sell it a lot less... every country has a lot of huge differences about home staging and living habits!
Newer homes in the U.S. are more likely to have wood or laminate floors, at least in the front rooms. The bedrooms sometimes still have carpet, probably to cut costs because carpet is much cheaper than wood flooring. Also, older people tend to favor carpet because it was considered more luxurious than wood back in the mid-20th century. I bought my 1960's house from some elderly people and they had covered all the beautiful oak floors with carpet. And I remember when I was a kid in the 1960's/70's, all my friends had carpet except for our "poor" neighbors who couldn't afford it.
My son bought a trailer a few years ago and it was full of diapers, child size diapers. Yes , the trailer was cheap think $500. Fifteen minutes was all we could stay in the trailer. I would be outside dry heaving and have to go home. At least the woman was consistent in her diaper sorting. There was more than five hundred wet diapers all over the trailer and the 100 or more poop diapers were all in the bathroom . We put Vic's Salve in our nostrils to stay in there to clean. We bought boxes and boxes of the thirty gallon garbage bags filled them and put them out the back door to load two large garbage cans each week plus using my extra garbage cans at my house. It took months but it got out of there. Before you say we should have hired a dumpster at $900 my son couldn't afford it.

We just saw Ted Nugent last summer...that was some show! I don't want to be one of those "If I were there" folks, but ......lol the only thing I would have changed was the yarn storage. It can get really dusty sitting on a shelf. I pulled an open box of yarn out from under a bed once and it had a nest of ticks in it! Ewww. My Mother also had tons of yarn, well...okay 100+ skeins anyway. Gave away what I could and the rest are in tied up bags, for now. Clear storage bins would be cool with colors going from dark to light or something. I would not change, nor suggest anything else regarding how you work, what you do or how you do what you do, because I love what you do and you do it very well so....suck it! And Thank you!

We just saw Ted Nugent last summer...that was some show! I don't want to be one of those "If I were there" folks, but ......lol the only thing I would have changed was the yarn storage. It can get really dusty sitting on a shelf. I pulled an open box of yarn out from under a bed once and it had a nest of ticks in it! Ewww. My Mother also had tons of yarn, well...okay 100+ skeins anyway. Gave away what I could and the rest are in tied up bags, for now. Clear storage bins would be cool with colors going from dark to light or something. I would not change, nor suggest anything else regarding how you work, what you do or how you do what you do, because I love what you do and you do it very well so....suck it! And Thank you!

Disappointed at first that you didn't have the house planned to do but then happily watched the footage that I've missed from previous videos. (I tried to watch some of your older videos but the music just gets it my way.. there's something really special about your voice overs matched with the footage that is magic.)
