I just played against Kashyyk defenders and it is no joke! 93 (I think?) wounds of wookiees coming at you is a tall order (I got smashed!). btw - Vader gets a dodge on both his activations on implacable.
Those Wookiees are impossible to kill when there are so many. I think Richard now has a list with 93 wounds as well. Thanks for the heads up on Vader's implacable turn.
Unfortunately this isn’t true… deflect was changed in the most recent rule update (and clarified in the official rules forum) that you get none of the deflect benefits in a melee attack.
Hahaha that is the best way to find out. Attack dice are eight sided, power order red strongest, black in the middle, and white least hit opportunities. Defense dice are D6 and red has more chances for blocks.

That 2nd round was full of bad decisions from the empire side.. Vader left the wookie squad with just 1 health on the leader, the snows should've punched that off to free vader for round 3. And then always moving the damaged bikes one by one out before making use of full bikes just to have them shot to pieces before they get to activate...come on.. That was such a huge waste, you could've gotten so many more shots off those bikes 'n still probably would've lost the same in the end.

Duelist only works in melee. You can't use it for ranged attacks

Hard to tell, but the empire may have been able to force the win on vp by force pushing the lone wookie out of the deployment zone
Empire did win on VPs. Good looking out for more paths to victory.
also, still get surge to block when spending a dodge in melee, just not deflect anymore

This was a missed opportunity, thank you for your feedback. In the end running away with the bikes gave the Empire the win.
