Experimental droids are extremely powerful, the make the BX really shine. And the fact that the surges go on the card and don’t go away at the end of turn is super strong too

Really thought Don rolling some scary attack rolls was going to rampage over Kashyyk with the Experimental Droids but those very healthy Wookie units just took the locking but kept on ticking. Great vid as always guys!❤

Dang, I really thought Don had this one. Rolling that hot against anything other than wookiees would have been an auto win. I've also been having trouble building a Kashyyk Defenders list but I think I've been trying to get too fancy with it. I really like the simplicity of Joe's list.

34:14 if i dont mistake myself , the wookie defenders bf rule is that you may make a 1-speed move. This is not a 1-speed move -action-, therefore they don't trigger charge. Think about it, you would otherwise be able to trigger charge when being force pushed.
Well then… I will have to double check that… but really makes the wookie only BF ability rather meh. Thanks for watching!!

I'm 99% certain that the speed 1 move wookies get doesn't activate charge, but I may be wrong. (just for future reference)

You are right. Charge only activates after a "move action", which the speed-1 move they get is not (it is a "move", not a "move action").

For context, I proxy all my named characters in my CIS army. What you said at the end about proxying the zombie Geonosians as normal Geonosians reminds me that is what plan on doing (just kinda the opposite as ill paint the normal Geonosians as zombies) and then proxying a night sister as Poggle the Lesser who is controlling the zombie hoard. I'm really exited to see how well I do in painting them all and i hope to get a really unique army out of it.

@@graysquadrongaming8670 I played a similar game this weekend. First time testing a Rebel list vs Empire. I had Empire down a couple of activations by the end of Turn 2. Thought I had the game sewn up, but then Round 4, I couldn't roll defense saves and I started losing activations quickly. Came down to the final round where it was Chewbacca vs Veers to determine the game (sabotage the moisture vaporators). Chewbacca fixed one damage point off the vaporator, then ripped the arms off of Veers to win the game. If Veers hadn't fallen, we would have tied on objectives, and I think Empire might have won on points.
I really like the additions of these Kashyyyk-themed battle forces! Wookies always seemed slightly lackluster with their high point cost, but using an entire army of them seems fun!

@34 minutes, Joe made an illegal Action. The free SPEED-1 Move cannot trigger a CHARGE.
Charge triggers only on a MOVE ACTION, which the Speed-1 Move is not. Was still a tough match for Don, but...
Will check into that. God news is it still would have been engaged and would not have changed the out come. Thanks for watching!

Glad to see Kashyyk Wookies might be competitive. Recently played in a local store champ where the Experimental droids took first place; perhaps because there weren’t any Wookie lists present.
Curious to see how Yoda plays with these Wookies in. Seems like it might be real good.

So great to see the new lists battle it out on Kashyyyk! The wookie one seems strong, just by virtue of how many resilient melee threats you can poor onto the board.
The droid list is really interesting though. Much more so than the first Sep battle force. I love that they've made a place for some of the less played droid units.

hey, little rules lawyer thing here, the wookie free speed 1 cant trigger charge. charge is triggered on a "move action" and the ability is just a speed 1 move, not an actual move action

That Kashyyyk force is beefy. X-Droids…the free action surge is amazing, but the assassin Mags. I don’t know. Throwing the RPS on them seems to be the best way to get use from them, but that seems like a fragile, pricey unit to be throwing 3-5 dice at r4. BX commandos with sniper and shields do a lot of work, but B2s get hampered by not being able to take T Series if you want to use the surges. Droidekas might benefit from them, but ar objective limited. It just seems like a confused force that doesn’t synergies very well.

I really thought the wookies of Kashyyyk done after the first few rounds.
Also i think only the normal super tactic droid is allowed in this battle force.
I really like the move on the wookies when one dies.
I don't think they have said that, super tactical Droid is just the unit, the title was not blocked. But if there is something out there saying you can't bring a named one let me know. -Don
I was sad to see the experimental droids fail, but I do think that dropping the tank would make for a better list. All in all, I am still quite excited to play the new battle force and win Kashyyyk.

That was an interesting battle of Kashyyyk. That many Wookiees is hard to chew through. I was surprised the droids did that well (sorry Don!) but it was neat seeing both battle forces in action. Think you'll run a modified droid list like that again?

The Experimental Droids battle force has completely won me over. Trying to get some BX Droids (Set of 3) but Dad's fun budget is on the low totem with 3 kids, plus trading for some seems hard atm.
Going with Kalani over Kraken though, for better field placement control, and no Snail.

@@graysquadrongaming8670 Ya, not to mention it can't gain the benefit of the Surge on your commander? Losing Open:Transport makes no sense either... were they really that worried about a Magna unit riding it? The entire battleforce seems untested to me.
@Zeromus5555 the token sharing is great, and I think the force will be solid… just the tank is lackluster.

So what we learned is that the amount of beef in the Wookie BF IS its special ability. Don’s force which had large dice pools (albeit with white dice) is probably one of the better options to just match the raw damage needed. I would have built the BX droids with the Sniper Rifles and leave the Magna’s as melee linebackers to pick up any Wookies that get through. For sure, the Snail Tank is not a good matchup against all the Wookie beef. Kashyyyk

Kashyyyk! Has the giveaway for the rebel army happened yet? Also I’m pretty sure the speed one move doesn’t trigger charge, as charge says after you make a move action it happens. Maybe it’s different for the battle force.
We will be pulling the winner for the army soon! We like to give it about 1-2 weeks for people to enter in. Also yes, the battle force states you preform a speed one move. I will double check about charge for the next one. Thanks for watching!

When using this battleforce do I use trooper tokens or special forces? Also would this hurt the wookies one pip card?
They are still special forces… only count as corps for list building and the battle cards like hostage exchange for example. Thanks for watching!

I was so excited when the Kashyyyk themed battleforce came out. I think you want to go for a solid bid cuz facing a strong gunline (like the shoreline i tried it against) with their battledeck seems like a bad time every time
