Fun film facts: The Phantom Menace was shot on 35mm Film, while Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were shot on some of the first professional HD Cinema Video Cameras so their colours aren't as vibrant.
First movie was on one of the most colourful plants in the universe so the colors were vibrant, second and third movie was a lot of space and industrial plants that were more greys. 35mm is great but it's vibrant colors were from cgi and not the camera
Exactly my thoughts. It is like watching that one dwarven referee from blood bowl giving the halflings their first victory after 99 defeats (yes, they even lost by default when the other team didn't make it to the game)

It really is a shame that we haven't seen a clone game FPS where we get to customize our guy and the choices we make in the campaign affect your brothers in your squad, until you get to order 66 and your choices lead to either your guys and you not doing order 66, you don't do it so they shoot you for treason, and yall all do
Mesa enjoyed this video! Great video, and an awesome army! Gives me the itch to make a custom one. Glad someone else has my love for the Gungan and the Phantom Menace, lol.
Still, to this day, one of my all time favorite vids. The happiness and enthusiasm, with a sprinkling of story ... bravo. Just had to watch it again cause it always brings a smile to my face.
The Royal Naboo Security Forces were always my favourite, I played Battlegrounds as well and this was always my favourite faction. This video reaches out to me, the idea of creating your own army from a setting you love that has not had the representation you would've like. Amazing work, and well done.
Ngl I always liked Jar Jar and the gungans appealed to me as a kid. Nowadays I still don't get why Jar Jar got so much shit lmfao. These minis are sick btw, great work!
People joke, but Jar Jar worked. I loved him as a kid too. If you were in the right age range, then Jar Jar was the only intresting part of that movie.
For some reason I fell in love with the Turtle from the Book "Momo". She can look a tiny bit into the future which leads to the awesome interaction of "Kasiopeia, where are you going to?" "I'm looking for you". Because the turtle knows she'll be searching for Momo in the future so she leaves Momo to search for her. I don't know why but I allways loved that book and that turtle is a key part of why.
I have never watched or consumed any figure painting content but this video was astoundingly delightful and I watched every bit of it. Thank you for sharing.
This really felt like an heartfelt compassion about his favorite Star Wars army the gungans and yeah I played the computer game too and no it still works on win 10 bought it on steam and I like to play Republic or IMPERIUM!!!
One thing I really love to nerd out about is Battlebots. So much goes into it, from building the robot, to competing, then fixing the robot. It’s amazing what these teams do to be on the show. I also really love Magic: the Gathering. There’s so much interesting lore to sift through, from different planes (worlds), interesting characters, and fascinating creatures and wondering how their biology works. I mean Thrulls are made from fleshaping dead flesh and making into something that lives and breathes again, but isn’t anything close to what it once was. Makes one wonder how its biology works now.
Gotta say the absolutely unflinching love you have for the Gungans is hugely refreshing and your dedication to bringing them to life is impressive. As for relatively overlooked parts of Star Wars I love, I gotta say the Tri Droids are absolutely slept on. Not the Tri Fighters, but the tall three-legged droids only seen during the background of the scenes set on Utapau. It’s just so cool to me, especially since I’m already such a fan of both droids and the war of the worlds. There are taller variants of Tri droids seen on Mygeeto, Crystophsis, and even flying ones that the Techno Union used against the Bad Batch in that arc of the Clone Wars, but the smaller more nimble ones that still tower over the clones are my favourite.
Man this video brought me so much joy, what a blast to see you hyped up about the Gungans! I’ve been saying the GAR needs Gungan reinforcements since I started Legion. Maybe one day we’ll see a Gungan battleforce?
I feel like you and I grew up the same. Loved galactic battlegrounds, grew up on the prequels, checked out every star wars book at the library many times over. This whole video made me feel nostalgic.
Finally someone who not only who loves the Gungans too, but also played them in Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. An amazing set of minis, and a very well done paint.
This army is a thing of beauty. I loved gungans ever since I first saw TPM when I was twelve, and seeing an army of them now that I'm years older and into tabletop gaming makes me feel a little bit like I did all those years ago.
Every time you reference a video game on this channel it's always one that I used to love as a kid. I can't even fathom a guess the hundreds, if not thousands of hours I put into SWGB. I used to design campaigns and upload them to the HeavenGames fan site. The army came out awesome and the purple base rims were a nice touch. Everyone talks shit about the Gungans, but they are canonically the only ones who managed to beat General Grievous in combat before Obi-Wan eventually would.
might be a bit simple but I love weaponized, beaten up, rusty, armored over the top vehicles. the most obvious of this are the vehicles from mad max, the love that goes into each of them is amazing, the fact that they all worked blows my mind. The cars from the modern death race movies are also just pure perfection, pachenko's buick riviera is the single most bad ass vehicle to ever hit the screen and you can not change my mind.
The Gungan battle takes place on the microsoft XP default wallpaper, I'm glad you picked the appropriate astroturf flocking! Also, I got given the Phantom Menace as a birthday present and also gained a lot of love for that movie over hundreds of viewings. Dude - i think your Gungan love is contagious and I'm so here for it.
I share your love for the goofy gungans! Growing up that battle scene in particular was awe inspiring. The ragged primitives vs a cold imposing mechanical army was amazing. The movie is what it is but the setup for the battle was great and went just about as you would have expected, a certain loss for the good guys had Anakin not done the impossible. Made the Gungans all the more sympathetic in their bravery. And yes, Jar Jar sucks. Tarpals best.
My "Jam" from a Franchise is not a Small Part of that but still not as wiedly appreciated. I LOVE the Starship Troopers Arachnid Empire. I Adore the Design of each Creature. I love their Species Structure. I love their Army. I love them so much. As much as i got into the Starship Troopers Miniatures Game and into all Comics.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Your love came through in the video, and process of your painting. I love your energy and enthusiasm throughout. Bravo!
That was fun, thank you! I actually have nothing to do with tabletop games and the like, but I watched the whole video and enjoyed it. The army looks really superb! And lots of interesting extra Info about the gungans I didn't know yet, though I thought of myself being knowledgable about Star Wars ^^ Greetz from germany!
I loved the TPM too, this is an amazing custom army! I had the DK book with all the illustrated cutaways of the Trade Federation's equipment, I loved the clear unified aesthetic of Baktoid's battle droid and vehicle designs and I thought all the new droids that were added in Ep. 2 and 3 didn't live up to the originals. I am focusing on historicals right now, but a TPM era Trade Federation Legion army is definitely on my bucket list.
not a movie or a book or anything, but i ADORE the deku scrubs from ocarina of time and majoras mask. the idea of cute little woodland critters who in reality love capital punishment and are subordinate to the whims of a brutal royal family is just so endeering to me. love em
When I was young I used to watch Michael Jackson Moonwalker VHS on repeat. I knew all the songs, all the dances and almost every word of the actual film part. But one thing that was my absolute JAM was the scene when Michael turned into a giant robot. Words can’t explain how awestruck I was seeing that, and it never lost its magic. Now in my mid 30s, I watch it every now and again and remember how happy it made me. Brings a tear to my eye 🥲
Growing up my cousin came over for a sleepover and left his dvd copy of phantom menace at my house and I had never seen Star Wars before, but I fell in love with the movie, not because it was great, but rather the fantasy land that it would inspire in my mind. I would build LEGO pod racers and leave them all over me and my brothers room. Good times, and I’m glad someone else appreciated the film.
The unapologetic love for something everyone despises is so beautiful, when I'm in doubt about my love for all things greedy, grudgey and stunty otherwise known as Dwarves I hope to channel at least 10% of that raw enthusiasm
Great work! I still have my complete Gungan army from over 20 years ago, almost entirely made from Action Fleet figures, including two fambaas carrying shield generator beam and drum components. My rules for Ep 1 troops are included in the Unofficial Star Wars Miniatures Battles 3rd Edition rules, still available free out there on the interwebs.
I thought it was just me! I played that RTS always as the Gungans and really wanted minis for legion but I'm still waiting. You might have convinced me to print up some of my own. They turned out so good!
Every time you said “Gun-gun” or “Goon-ga” I paused the video and contemplated turning it off. But that damn paint-job kept me coming back. Great looking army.
For me, it's a Super recent find. There is a show on Netflix Called "Into the Badlands". There is 5 "Barons" who run different industries and trade/fight with one another (Seems kind of Necromundaish to me). The visuals of each faction are VERY distinct and for some reason I would love to put together a force or two of the Barons, just for sheer coolness factor.
This is a glorious project. On the Gungan-horse things, they always reminded me of the Kroot and their offshoots. Something of the Gungans definitely feed into the design of the Kroot, with everything looking/having the same evolutionary origin.
I saw this a few days ago, and now am probably the only gamer around who now has a Yuzzum force for Star Wars Legion :-) I bought them from Ebay about a year ago, and they're soft plastic/rubbery, but in scale with the current figure range. I finished painting them earlier this week, and already have others who want to buy them off me, even though there's no rules for using them that I know of :-) Still, they look suitably aggressive and nice at the same time, so I'm happy. I've already ordered some more I found online, just to bulk out my initial squad of just 5, so I can make them into a criminal/pirate force all on their own, complete with the scratch-built ship I'm now building for them (I also scratch-built a shuttle craft type ship for my WH40k Kill Team Rogue Trader team, so am looking forward to building something HUGE for my Yuzzums to fly around in). Love your videos, and am more inspired every time I watch them :-D

Dude, this is awesome. Episode I is definitely underrated. It's not the best, but still nowhere near as bad as people say. I love the aesthetics of the planet Naboo. That explains why the 4k version looks so dark, they made all the movies consistent. I put the bluray version in first and it was much brighter.

You really give some great Creativity into the Hobby.
I hope you inspire a bunch of people and adore your Army.
Jay:
"They are a big part of why I'm a Starwars fan and a huge nerd in General"
JarJar:
"GENERAL?!"
As someone else who loved the phantom menance, I can appreciate this! You say gungan weird though 🤣
Great army dude
I'm not a wargamer, I just like watching other people kitbash. I find your enthusiasm infectious.
I absolutely love the Cylons from Battlestar Galactica, if I could do this for them I would be so happy lol
From the 70s one, or the modern one? Aren't the modern ones sexy blonde ladies?
Don’t let your dreams be dreams… 💫🤖
I don't paint, I don't War game, and I don't collect minis, but you having fun, laughing, and having a sense of humor has earned a sub.
Thank you!
In my opinion, the greatest thing about Star Wars is how each clone customized his armour, and by the end of the clone wars they all looked different and had their own identity
Well if you think about it. It wasnt until they left training and went to war did they really begin to have unique and individual experiences.
It really is a shame that we haven't seen a clone game FPS where we get to customize our guy and the choices we make in the campaign affect your brothers in your squad, until you get to order 66 and your choices lead to either your guys and you not doing order 66, you don't do it so they shoot you for treason, and yall all do
@@calebbarnhouse496 that’s the one thing I want from a Star Wars game
Yeah and then at the very ended of the Clone Wars they ended up all looking the same again.
Mesa enjoyed this video! Great video, and an awesome army! Gives me the itch to make a custom one. Glad someone else has my love for the Gungan and the Phantom Menace, lol.
wheres darth jar jar?
Still, to this day, one of my all time favorite vids. The happiness and enthusiasm, with a sprinkling of story ... bravo. Just had to watch it again cause it always brings a smile to my face.
Love this project. I had a strong "Behold... My stuff!" vibe at the very beginning of the video.
Darth jar jar binks should have been the emperor
For some reason I fell in love with the Turtle from the Book "Momo". She can look a tiny bit into the future which leads to the awesome interaction of "Kasiopeia, where are you going to?" "I'm looking for you". Because the turtle knows she'll be searching for Momo in the future so she leaves Momo to search for her. I don't know why but I allways loved that book and that turtle is a key part of why.
Weesa in big poodoo now
I have never watched or consumed any figure painting content but this video was astoundingly delightful and I watched every bit of it.
Quality, I was literally thinking today at work how cool a Gungan legion army would be, well done man 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Man this video brought me so much joy, what a blast to see you hyped up about the Gungans!
This is why EOB has to be one of the best hobby RUclipsr out there, just unique projects that come from the heart!
Phenomenal work. I'd love to do a gungan army as soon as I get a 3d printer! Using the old 90s toys as artillery was absolute genius!
..your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.”
Duderino! I love watching your videos. Your way of being is just comforting, in a world where so much seems staged, acted and not genuine.
Thank you!
Great video! I cant say I was a big fan of them in the movie, but they were my favorite faction in Galactic Battlegrounds.
6:17 this is the best part of the video for me
Not super unique but something about the B1s and droids in general really caught my heart and imagination
He won't see this but I'll try anyway. Roos Tarpals died in the Clone Wars, sacrificing himself to capture Grievous. Great guy indeed.
I was about the only one I knew that loved Jar Jar Binks, so this army is freakin' SWEEET! The purple bases look amazing!
The unapologetic love for something everyone despises is so beautiful, when I'm in doubt about my love for all things greedy, grudgey and stunty otherwise known as Dwarves I hope to channel at least 10% of that raw enthusiasm
i've unapologetically loved jar jar and gungan design since they came out, cool to see the love!
I genuinely love how excited you were to make that army! Lore and all. Suscribed.
Your enthusiasm is so infectious! I loved Star Wars battlegrounds!
great video, your enthusiasm is infectious . Off to work on my Legion project for the movie that I most enjoyed as a kid, the rebels' defense of Hoth!
Man my galactic battle ground days were the best. The story in them was actualy fantastic!
I'm an episode 1 toy collector and those catapults are pretty rare as they were a last line toy, the balls were ment to be a bit stick for when you fire them at another toy they stick :) love the army and love. That you love ep1 ❤️
Same IP but starfighter battles in Star Wars. I would watch a whole movie of just the fighters zipping around, doing bombing runs, refueling, etc.
This is the most wholesome Star Wars video on youtube. Thank you
The board game Star Wars the Queen's Gambit, it also has an army of Gungans
Awesome watch! First time watching! Loved every second! For me it was the Mighty Max polly pockets! I'm 32 so I watched the TV show, as well! Collecting those led me into the mini figures for Star Wars! Micro machines!
Dude, this is awesome. Episode I is definitely underrated. It's not the best, but still nowhere near as bad as people say. I love the aesthetics of the planet Naboo. I recently found and built a model kit of the N1 Naboo Starfighter from 1999 and gave it a sweet paint job with bright yellow and Alclad chrome. I love how 50s hot-rod retro they feel.
