Please give Necromunda some love bro! I love your videos, and you are so awesome at terrain. Would love to see you paint some Necromunda models and do some Necromunda Terrain for Ash Wastes and the Hives with the amazing skills you have in 2023! Even if you don't, I will continue to watch your amazing videos, and of course I understand with 10th coming out, it only makes sense to make more content for it.
The thing I like about this channel is Jay’s whimsical love of the hobby. You can see his eyes come alive when he sees a new mini for the first time or his child like excitement whilst making terrain. You can see he genuinely loves the hobby. That’s rare these days. A lot of people are in it for their own purposes. There are mini painters who have never actually played the game. For me, it feels like a chore watching them trying to stretch out a 15 minute video when they’re just not into it. Jay is different. He’s passionate, devoted and he genuinely loves what he does. And that’s why I’ll keep coming back.
For Sale signs are a great cheap source of plastic sheets in different thicknesses. Just remember they aren’t polystyrene so plastic model cement won’t work on them. The thin ones can be very flexible so other glues may pop off unless the final build is solid.
It's good stuff, though keep in mind that PVC will handle slightly differently to polystyrene plasticard. Generally it's a little more brittle, and doesn't work great with polystyrene/abs solvent glues (you can get PVC solvent glues at the home center) but has it's own benefits.
Floor Grout is a good, fine-grained ground cover. It has the added advantage of basically being concrete when it dries. Also, wetting the ground cover with Isopropanol Alcohol will all the glue-water mix to penetrate deeply in to the ground cover. The Trenches look cool.
Honestly your channels makes me wanna get back into 40k. When I was younger someone broke into my house , stole my Xbox 360 and trashed my figures. Never got back into just cause it felt like so much time wasted but this channel has really made me want to get back into it.
Jay, watching your videos makes me want to clean out the garage and build terrain. That is saying something if you could see my garage. Love the energy and pure joy in your videos.
I absolutely love the music choices for the montage sections in this video. It just made everything feels so much more interesting and happy! Got me right in the mood to do some of my own hobbying.
Would love to see some 'transition' pieces for when the trench runs out and hits the rest of the board. A nice dusty eroded slope. Could look really nice, and would add even more modularity, letting you make a few rows of small trenches instead a giant maze-like big one if you'd like.
Im not going to lie: the "plasticard" suggestion is one of the most valuable hobbyhacks ive ever seen! Valuable enough to justify continued Terrain level Patreon support! This pack is SOOOO much more than terrain - Epic Basing begone; EoB for the win!
im beginning to fall more and more in love with the terrain videos each month - feeling the sweet sweet delight of seeing these boards come together - and also the sting of jealousy, unfortunately i dont have enough room for big terrain stuff
I also never played a single game of 9e! I played somewhere in the neighbourhood of 300 games of 8e but by the time 9th rolled around, the game store I was playing at had burned down, and I had moved back home where I’ve yet to find a warhammer community. My enthusiasm for 10e is well…low as a death guard player, but at this point I’m just itching to get the boys in green back into battle. This was a fantastic video, I’ve seen quite a few trench related terrain vids lately and it’s all giving me a hankering to build some terrain
A monstrous hill fortress would be pretty cool with the trench pieces completely encircling the bottom of it so there's fighting on top and on bottom. Something with huge strategic value, history, or importance that visually dominates over the other 2 sides.
9:45 That's fine. There's no reason they've be aimed at each other. Staggered turret configurations are more so at least on can turn without the other obstructing the barrel, and with these stubs that's not an issue.
Love the video, I've started to print those bad boys trenches! One thing tho, the Imperial plasma generator seems to be missing its main composants, should we guess that the person who uploaded them is a fervent of the chaos gods :O
If you put the Roll-a-tex into a mix of ModgePodge, Dark Brown Acrylic, and water and apply like a thin texture paste and you will get what you are looking for from using that instead of sand...
The trenches look great! The only thing is, it looks a bit odd when it just ends, and there is no change or anything, there is just no end piece. it would look great if there was a bit of destroyed trench for when you want to finish the trenches.
Technically PVC and polystyrene are different plastics and can have different reactions to different solvents and heating. So just be careful and test things! PVC also is a denser plastic ie heavier.
I would have magnetize every piece of terrain, they are often the hardest part of the hobby to store and manipulate, the more flexible you made them the better.
I can imagine those Chaos trenches being manned by the Emperors Children. Try to tell me they wouldn´t try to troll Loyalists by disguising as the Ultramarines

This is the only channel that makes me stop what I’m doing to watch. Love your alls stuff man.
For Sale signs are a great cheap source of plastic sheets in different thicknesses. Just remember they aren’t polystyrene so plastic model cement won’t work on them. The thin ones can be very flexible so other glues may pop off unless the final build is solid.
For real! Watching this channel has helped me start a new hobby and bring up my overall happiness!
The budget plasticard sheet might actually be the most gamechanging thing ive learned from this build
I used it for gap fill on some of my vehicles. For my 3d printed Manta I am using it to help the glue edges.

07:53 is comedy gold.
>"I'll wait"
>Stares into camera
>"Alright it's been about 8 hours"
love it
Gotta love how jay is slowly moving to dioramas that could rival the ones in Warhammer stores.
Floor Grout is a good, fine-grained ground cover. It has the added advantage of basically being concrete when it dries. Also, wetting the ground cover with Isopropanol Alcohol will all the glue-water mix to penetrate deeply in to the ground cover.
The Trenches look cool.
This one had strong "Cooking with Jay" vibes and I loved it.
There is a certain chaotic energy to this video that I quite enjoy.
agreed
Yes inquisitor this one right here *points in Astarties*
My favorite signs to use for crafting are the “Wet Paint” ones. Makes me chuckle when I paint them.
EoB videos are my go to everyday when I get off work, they drop at that same time so there’s always fresh content for me!
Honestly your channels makes me wanna get back into 40k. When I was younger someone broke into my house , stole my Xbox 360 and trashed my figures. Never got back into just cause it felt like so much time wasted but this channel has really made me want to get back into it.
Sorry to hear about what happened. Hoping that if you get back into it, it can be a rewarding and satisfying experience 😊

going to start making up a set of trenches for my slaanesh cult this week - thanks EOB team!
I love how you tied this all together. A real masterclass. Terrain looks great, that patreon is mighty tempting :)

"a mixture of grime, dirt, blood, and evil. " Where else on the internet could you hear that kind of phrase? That's right, Nowhere. Only Jay.

The only channel that actually gets me excited about terrain haha
Thanks for the tip with the sign! I hate buying plasticard and have needed an alternative so that is perfect!!
Jay with the mat cloak - possibly the best EOB scene ever.
Jay seems like a great guy to sit down with and have a chat with about random things.
Just subbed to your MMF tribe, couldn’t pass up the trenches, I’ve been looking for something just like this for a while!
You and Eric are on the same wavelength, he just posted his own massive trench build over on HW a few days ago, I love it.
I also never played a single game of 9e! Very good use of contrasting colors to your advantage!

You taught me some great time saving techniques that still give awesome results!
Dude the DAY I get a filiment printer I'm joining your patreon
This terrain looks awesome for Boarding Patrol and Kill Team goddamn. I'd love to try out playing on this
Jay’s painting is epicly fast but still has such great results!
Thnak you for your creative videos!
The brush spin was so cool and smooth
I love when you make boards its so awesome!
You guys never fail to disappoint! I can always count on your videos to get me through my commute to work three times a week 😍
Really nice and colorful, looks awesome!
I still really want to see a Craftworld Eldar themed Terrain Board.
grate work love the base stuff you have been doing recently. still love all the model stuff but the bases are very cool builds
Love the video, I've started to print those bad boys trenches!
One thing tho, the Imperial plasma generator seems to be missing its main composants, should we guess that the person who uploaded them is a fervent of the chaos gods :O
Dang!!!!!! That cloak tho!!!! Thanks gents!! Fantastic as always!!!
loved the edition on this video
Awesome!! I liked the blue more for the imperial walls, but that's subjective...

sculptamold is great as it does not shrink !!
The dawn of war terrain
Best channel on RUclips right here
The was the best waiting cut scene 😂
1:00 every hobbyist knows the struggle
3:53 Did you just say the Imperium are the good guys????
Sounded like Burt with his MRE's 5:46
Great video King
This is my new favorite cooking show
The Chaos trenches would compliment the Thousand Sons!
@11:12 SMOOTH
This may be my fav thing ever
amazing video! I'll propably subscribe to patreon and print some trenches.
For cutting plastic, pick up a cheap pair of trauma shears, not particularly sharp buts gets through every sort of plastic really easily.
I would have love to see some fallen soldiers around the bunkers so that it looks like there was a fierce battle.
Whoa this is absolutely bonkers.
Jay opening superglue like a grenade had me crying with laughter 😂
need more content like this
I will be making a chaos themed trench for my Damned.
bro predicted trench crusade
*Stares into the camera* 8:00 it's his silent catchphrase
“The pointiness, and the spikyness, and the bloodyness of Chaos is drawing me in….”
Yes Jay, follow that feeling… join us….. forever….
Sand is easy to apply but it is pretty heavy and easy to knock off, it's also coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
no shot i’m playing any codexes in 10e, but i’m excited to play the compendium
Impressive!
Battle, battle, battle report. Goooooo!
Closed captions at 5:56 "they got some stone masons to cut themselves some spots for the turds to do"
Dude, youtube is dissing your terrain :p
Teachers trying to put up a front when the class won't stop being rowdy: 7:55
Technically PVC and polystyrene are different plastics and can have different reactions to different solvents and heating. So just be careful and test things!
PVC also is a denser plastic ie heavier.
Use 1 of your hobby drill bits to unclog your glue bottles
Spanish Jay AND bopping music? This video feels like a new step for the channel!
You mentioned preferring wood glue for sand, any particular reason? Also, this is an awesome project with your stls, might have to pick them up
This is awesome
I always love it when you make videos in this format!
Love it man
Nice alpharius there😊
Could you do a video about airbrushs it's a mine field and I don't know where to start or what to buy but I definitely want one
Dope Terrain, but missed opportunity for one side to be "E" and the other to be "B" for EoB! :P
I would have magnetize every piece of terrain, they are often the hardest part of the hobby to store and manipulate, the more flexible you made them the better.
Love it sooo much but one thing: maybe have a ruined trench end so that the trench doesn’t have a flat end that looks (dare I say it) a bit ugly
I feel like we can assume that whatever terrain jay says he likes, it's gonna be next month's terrain
Better blood spattering than the first attempt on stream last moght
I Love It ❤️ I am terrible at Painting
Please do a battle report on this!
Best video as of yet!
"A for adeptus"
(Smiles at his own joke)
Love it lol
Where can you buy all of these sets, mini figures and deathkorps
For April's fool nick should do a video where he only speeks in Spanish
He's pretty good
Saludos de España
Porque no los dos is a meme these days in the US.
I can imagine those Chaos trenches being manned by the Emperors Children. Try to tell me they wouldn´t try to troll Loyalists by disguising as the Ultramarines
This man works way to hard!
Man the superglue tube's, using your mouth, everyone been empty or just NOT doing what you need yeah this hits hard my dude I've been here before. 😅
Woot
