I am looking at this as an option to record my whoop flights as I bought the BetaFPV VR 02 goggles without a DVR. It would be amazing if some passionate devs found a way to use OTG on something like an Oculus Quest Headset as it uses Android and is practically identical to a modern flagship phone! Apparrently the quest can use OTG but only for USB media.. There must be a way though! I do understand the latency would be pretty high but my be worth it for the incrediable screen...
The DVR definitely isn’t bad, so I’m sure it would work for your needs. As far as the Quest, maybe head over to the XDA website, and submit a request. It’s been a while since I’ve messed with Android, but XDA Developers was always my go to.
Hello am.new to.fpv trying to figure out if this can be used to fly with vr goggles some people say it's.good others say latency is too much can i.get your opinion please
I would probably go with a reasonably priced box goggles to start. It’s going to be much easier as a beginner. Something with a dvr. Either Fatshark Recons, Eachine 800Ds, or if your budget allows the new Skyzone Cobra S for about $169. The other two are under $100. I started with the Recon V2s, and they worked great.
Is there anything that can capture digital at the moment, ie I have a cadix on a geprc 25 cinelog and want potential customers to be able to see what I'm seeing real-time
If you have a Vista, you can get video out from the goggles to the DJI smart controller and there is also an DigiView that you can download for Android.
@@TitanFPV so I've tried digi view to my android and can't seem to get it to work from usb c to USB c , think I might need that hdmi link, I have the dji v2 goggles running the dji air unit mode
Do it also recieve audio over OTG? I know it has audio on white connector but not sure if it exposes audio over usb Also, whats the diference between this and Eaxhine ROTG02, they look and behave exacly the same, but Eachine has anoying watermark when showing signal and frequency, just not sure are there any other differences?
So, why is it that receivers on goggles font have latency but these receivers have terrible latency? Do they not make one of these than can actually work well for fpv? I'd even spend 100 bucks on it if its actually low latency and works well...I just dont want to spend 250 on box goggles and still have terrible image quality
@@TitanFPV other reviews I saw clocked it at milliseconds....that seems really respectable. Is that too much latency? I'd imagine it's hard to find anything with much better latency than that. What's the acceptable amount for fpv? Like what's the target range for latency
Going to try this at my quest 3. So my sons can watch me fly in first person view.
Nice comparison! I'm going to stick some decent antenna on my skydroid
Thanks!
is uvc still good for beginners? i am new in fpv and not much money to buy goggle.
While I would prefer a cheap box goggle, it is still a good option to get started.
@@TitanFPV Oh so,i should buy goggle instead?
thanks for your reply.
@@Waikhom007 Eachine EV800, EV800D, and EV800DM are all solid choices.

Slightly More break-up with the skydroid but the contrast and saturation is way better in my opinion
I know this is old but will this setup fork with hdzero, thinking of getting the mobula6 elrs and wanted to try out hd. Thanks
No. This setup will only work with analog unfortunately.

@@TitanFPV thank you i apreciate that 😀
Anytime!
I have tried this with a Realme smartphone and some cheap phone-vr goggles. Latency was not an issue.

I jost got a refund itt isn't playing nice with my Flysky Paladin
Nice indeed, we have subscribed
Thanks!

It does not receive audio over OTG. I haven't used the Eachine rx, so I couldn't say.

It’s more than likely the connection to the PC/ display device that increases the latency. VRX connected to goggles have more of a direct connection.
I have flown a whoop in the house with these. If you are just casual flying, you’d probably be fine. Definitely wouldn’t race with this setup though.
using OBS studio makes it so there is zero latency. Also using it on an android directly.
Is 10 one thousandths of a second too high for fpv? In relation to fpv
No, if it’s that low you should be good.
Does it support raceband?
Yes, it does.
Hello do you think that this can be used for long range FPV?
I would say probably not. Probably a ground station, or even a 1.3Ghz setup.
How is the latency?
Is this the reason we don't see any FPV monitors anymore? 🤔
I’d say fairly high. I wouldn’t want to fly through it.

Permission to ask brother, is your Android version 9 smartphone connected to support receiver fpv skydroid, brother?
Wow dude the rapid fire was slow compared to this shitter otg. I'm gonna get one just to have regardless but, I would not have guessed that!
I was pretty impressed myself.
That's a great product.
I was pretty impressed.
where can I get an Iphone? I'd like to over pay for a product and then make a video about things I can't use with it because i'm smart.
