I was 8 yearsbold when I started watching Dallas in 1978. Thank you for sharing all these filming locations. It's hard to believe, that even 45 years later, Dallas, continues to have an audience...
Nice! We're glad you're enjoying our videos. Dallas is such an entertaining show, and it has definitely developed a strong fanbase worldwide which continues even now. Love it!!
Aww, that’s awesome! Thanks so much Freddy! We’re glad you’re enjoying our Dallas videos. We’re currently watching season 14, the very end! Looking forward to seeing the movies and reboot too!
Season 3 was my favorite and also marked an end for me. With Jim Davis, Dallas was a gritty, almost western style, one hour weekly movie that had punch to it. And rightfully so, Jim was a long time western movie star, albeit a b actor who always played the heavy, co-starring along side John Wayne, Robert Mitchum and many others. When Jim passed, it just became a night-time soap opera. Sure, it went on to have some great story lines, but it was never as good. Great video as always! 👍🦬🐎
I have wondered for YEARS what town they used in the Dove Hunt episode for "Landowne, LA". Now I know it's Krum, TX thanks to you two. Keep up the good work, loving these videos.
Thank you!! It's funny, after making all of these videos and visiting SO many locations Krum, Texas has been our favorite. It was a cute little town with personality plus, and Lisa Marie is precious!
Wow, I just discovered you guys yesterday. I love Dallas and these vlogs have been fantastic!! I moved to the DFW area from Ohio 30 years ago. and the first thing I did was go to Southfork!! I've been to some of these locations and didn't realize that I was at a filming location. Can't wait to see more!
Welcome to our channel! We really enjoyed our tour of Southfork and definitely plan to go back again soon! These videos have been so fun to make. We're working on season 4 now- will have to plan another trip to Dallas soon to film. Although Dallas is our hometown, we currently live in Wichita, Kansas. Love it here, but we're always happy to find an excuse to visit the Big D. Thanks for watching!
AKA Our 80's Life I’ve been to Wichita a bunch of times. It’s a nice city. I hope while you were in Las Colinas for the robocop vlog that you shot some footage for Dallas as well. I can’t remember the season, but they shot quite a few scenes at the canals and at the studios. Keep up the good work!
Excellent Videos of DALLAS keep them up. I have been to SouthFork Ranch 2 times 2011 and 2016. I have also been to Culver City Sony Studios California which use to me MGM and Lorimar Studios where all the interior scenes were filmed. They have tours range is $50.00 per person but I believe the DALLAS soundstage was demolished for corporate offices but they still have all the stages in backstock.
Thanks Mark! We are hoping to make another trip to Dallas soon to find more filming locations. Glad you're enjoying this video series! We were lucky enough to get to tour Sony Studios back in the early 2000's but unfortunately they didn't allow cameras. I follow a Facebook page called "Dallas Television Series- 'in the beginning' 1978" and he just posted some aerial photos (from Google satellite pics) of the Dallas soundstage #23. Fortunately, it looks like it hasn't been demolished but you're right about it being used as corporate offices. Would love to see any props that might still be lingering in their prop warehouse, sigh. Welcome to our channel, and have a great weekend!
They’re actually may have never been a telephone where it is shown on the TV program, most likely it was placed there for filming, as a prop by the filming crew, not an actual working phone
I'm sure you're right about that. We just finished Dallas season 10 and noticed the same payphone on the top of the Galleria parking structure, LOL!! 😏
JR'S only contribution to the barfight was smashing that beer mug over the guy's head. There were some waterfalls between the Reunion Tower and the city hall. What ever happened to them? Several scenes were filmed there. This is a different waterfall than the one at the Hyatt where a conference center was built over it. Great video.
Hi Larry! We love that scene, and especially JR's barfight contribution, lol! We also noticed he removes his fancy watch whenever the fight begins, and later at the campsite he's the only guy sleeping on a cot with a mosquito net. What a diva!! We were unable to locate that waterfall you mentioned. At first, we thought it might have been at Thanksgiving Square, but those waterfalls are a bit different. Like so many water features downtown, our guess is that it's also been removed. Thanks for watching!
Well done with the Neurofibromatosis! 😂 When it comes up again about not being able to have babies and I couldn’t remember the whole name, I just said “oh yeah, the matosis’”
Ok, thanks! Was that the same Tino's as the one at Collin Creek Mall and Tino's too? If so, I LOVED that place! They have the best salsa! Thanks for stopping by our channel Rick. Let us know if you think of any other locations we might have missed.
Did y’all not see my veteran friend and I across the other side of Thanksgiving Square in your video???!!! Soooo kidding!! I recognize the waterfall area and knew that was Thanksgiving Square!! My veteran friend has an office there at Thanksgiving Tower and I would take the Tram from Downtown Plano to Akard. Enjoyed the vlog. It’s funny though you guys were in Plano and the Downtown area of Plano. They have a nice coffee shop downtown Plano there call 1814 Coffee on K Ave. Love walking around the brick street which kind of reminds me of downtown Nac
Hey Vin, sorry we missed ya! Yes, downtown Plano is a cool area. We ended up grabbing a snack at Starbucks there, but I'm glad to know about the local place. We agree, the brick streets and old buildings are the best! It was much busier than downtown Nac though. Of course we miss that place the most!
It’s okay. One day I’ll do a video of me eating at nice steak at Redrock Canyon in your area and leave. 🤪🤣😂 Keith would be bum on the steak dinner I owed him 🤣😂
Right?! We've still gotta get through Dallas first... currently on season 10. By the way, we just filmed locations for season 7 (coming soon!) and today we released a new Southfork video. Thanks for watching!!
You are correct! They filmed lots of scenes at that hospital. Good news: we just got home from another trip to Dallas, and we've got more filming location videos for seasons 4-6 coming soon!! Thanks Matthew :)
@@Our80sLife Nice to see ys'all had some fun this summer in the beautiful Dallas area, especially with all the bad news...even see Zoe has a new vid out even...she prolli thinks im creepy to watchin' her and everything...suchaha' cutie...!!!!! Thanks again ..!!

We watched them all, but we definitely agree that the first few seasons were the best. Jim Davis was fantastic, and his presence was truly missed.
Pac man.... Atari.... Dallas! Lol. Im binging your videos while i lay awake with covid.
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear you're sick. But glad to know our videos are entertaining you. We just released a new podcast, by the way. Hang in there!!
I am currently watching the first episode of season 4. I can't wait until you give us the scoop on it!
Guess what?! We are actually in Dallas this weekend filming locations for seasons 4, 5, and 6! New videos coming soon!! Thanks so much for watching!

I knew you would check out Lisa Maries saloon salon :D Awesome location finds.
She was wonderful! So glad we got to share a bit of history with her about her building. She loved it!

LOL! Thanks!!
the restaurant was Tino's. across the street from the City Hall where the multi story apartments are

@@Our80sLife yes, same owner. It was the original location opened in 1977. I was an extra in 13 episodes when they needed college aged crowds.
